Don't recommend! She not only didn't do the color I asked for, she was very rough and pulled at my hair when drying and even tangled it. Plus while I waited for her to finish the color which took way too long (she let it set for at least 45 minutes), she did about 4 people's hair, including two men's hair cuts and two women who left looking very disappointed. I'm confused and hurt. I made an appointment in advance and arrived early. I spent several minutes explaining the asymmetrical bob style I wanted. I've had it before, but it grew out when I moved away from my previous salon. I came in wearing a ponytail and described how I wanted my hair to be long enough for a comfortable ponytail. I brought pictures to show the style and length that I've had before. My hair wasn't SO different from what I wanted, it had just been too long since my last cut. Dina "yes'd" me and cut me off while I was talking. She didn't offer to wash my hair- even though I came in with gel product in it. Instead, she sprayed it with water from a bottle. I guess that should have been a red flag. Maybe she was in a rush? But I had an appointment so I don't understand why. She never spoke to me again, and within 20 minutes, she had cut almost all of my hair off. I was a little distracted and answered an email on my phone, but when I looked back up again, it was already too late. I was stunned and maybe a little bit in shock. She's the professional and I'm just a normal person, so I was hesitant to doubt what she was doing. She just kept cutting. At the end, she showed me a mirror and it occurred to me the extent of the damage to the back of my head: she had given me a pixie cut. I tried to put my hairband back in right in front of her but there wasn't enough hair to form a ponytail. She told me that she wasn't going to charge me for the haircut, since I didn't like it, but that's not going to bring my hair back. I came in with shoulder-length hair and asked for a relatively traditional, feminine style- what she gave me was something halfway between a pixie and a man's bowl cut. I'm guessing this is a style that older ladies like? Now I look like I'm making some kind of radical statement, when that was never my intention. I have to present myself in a certain way for my work and I'm going to have to explain that I had a hair dresser who didn't listen to me and did what she pleased, and I was too meek to speak up. I don't recognize myself in the mirror. My head doesn't feel like my own when I run my hand across my scalp. I feel violated. read more

Dina, the owner of this family friendly hair salon, is a Seaside treasure. She is highly skilled, warm and friendly and pays attention to detail. She has many regulars that return over many years, she is truly a "hidden gem" . Make an appointment for a shampoo, cut or color. Walk ins are welcome but she is typically very busy. Kleen Cuts prices are posted $27/$28 credit card for men's with prices of other Women's and Men's services posted. I got a thorough haircut, front, sides, back and top, plus ear, nose and eyebrow hairs. Shop is clean, well-organized with convenient parking including disabled parking and wheelchair/walker easy access. Woman barber "Sam" did an excellent job. I went in to get a hair cut and the lady asks me same style but shorter? I say yes but I like it long enough to cover the tops of my ears. She does a good job on the top leaving it about 2 1/2 inches but when I get home I notice that back is about 1/2inch long. WTF Who does that? She literally asked if I wanted it left a little long. I want to go back and ask for my money back but I am so mad about what she has done that i'm afraid I might lose my temper and say something mean and hateful. Had a 5:30 appointment and arrived at 5:33. As I walked in I noticed a lady with her son being sat down by Tina. Tina then asks me if I can wait for her other hair stylist for about 15 to 29 minutes. Her other hairstylist then asked me to come tomorrow. I told her my appointment was 5:30. Tina then asked if I wanted to wait until she cut her "walk-in's" haircut l. I said no thanks and walked off. 3 minutes late and i was pushed aside. Other times I've gone to appointments with her I've had to wait 15 to 20 minutes for other people. She couldn't even wait 5 minutes for me to arrive for my appointment. Seems to me she's more interested in making money and cutting as many peoples hair than providing decent customer service. This was the last attempt I'm giving her chances. Adios to bad service and hello to Great Clips! Great Clips does a way better job at fades and glad this actually happened because now I found a much better quality in haircuts as well as service! Very professional service at Great Clips! Only because you can't give them zero stars. I gave a woman photos of what I wanted and walked out with what she wanted and visioned with my beautiful hair. Yeah well the color is still nice but I also walked out in tears. She was not clean. She had previously cut my boyfriends hair before mine and had his clippers and razors mixing in with mine. Love my boyfriend but I don't want my tools to be placed on a dirty towel surface where all hair can be collected. I honestly will never go there again. Oh my gosh, this place is awful! I will never go back here. So I have a kind of "justin bieber" style haircut, but it was getting a bit long, so I went to get it cut. A woman started to cut my hair, and I told her I only wanted about half a centimeter off my bangs, and showed her where I wanted it cut. She said ok, and then cut at least two centimeters into my bangs. I know it doesn't really sound like much, but it is. It messed up the entire look, and it really upset me. She's an amazing women and very friendly, she right away asks about my day and starts a friendly conversation! Specially not Super Cuts because trust me bad experience there. However, its either you have a great experience or you don't. People work hard to do there best and pleasing the world is an impossible task. I recomment this place 100% , However, if you don't like it then move on and go to another salon, if you do then keep on coming in and get your great haircuts. I will never go back here again...I walk in with my daughter to get her a cut, the lady at the door smiled and said hi and the one sitting down at a station told me to sign in so we did. She already appeared to be in a negative mood (I get it, I'm in customer service and have bad days too). She comes over and says "Her hair is tangled, she needs a wash" (up charge attempt #1) and I said no it just needs to be brushed out it was washed last night...we go over to her station and I'm looking at books to show my daughter different styles...we decide on an a-line (which she has had before) so I tell the stylist this. She gets my daughter in the seat and says "I'll have to flat iron her hair because of the curls and I'll have to charge you extra" , my daughter has hair like mine, curly underneath straight on too, the longer it is the curlier it gets (up charge attempt #2) and I tell her no it can be cut the way it is, it doesn't need to be flat ironed she's had this cut before (I may not be a hairstylist but I've been to enough to know and have one in my family that is well known in my home town) So now she tells me she's going to have to charge me $16.95 because the type of cut my daughter wants....the listed price for a kids cut is $13.95 (I believe) and at this point I'm pissed, I told her she was ridiculous, grab my daughter and walk out. I'm not mad that she was in a bad mood, I'm not always pleasant to be around even at work I get it, what I'm mad about is the attempt to up sell numerous times on a simple haircut for a 7 year old, no layers, nothing fancy...very disappointed. My oldest son had a decent cut but my youngest...HORRIBLE! I asked to have it scissor cut because I didn't want it cut too short. Worst haircut I've ever had! I asked for a simple trim, straight across. Ended up with an an uneven bowl cut, 2 inches shorter than I had asked for. And to make a bad situation worse, when they asked how i like it, I told them it was much shorter than I had asked, they started to argue with me and trying to take more off. Went here after reading the reviews and I can honestly say this is the first time in many many years that I'm totally in love with my hair and completely satisfied. I will be going back for now on to see Paula every ) weeks to keep my new hair cut. Also I will be getting my hair colored there soon as well.
