After a bad experience with a very rude stylist at the Sports Clips in the same shopping center, I walked into this location with my 2 year old. They were a little busy, so we waited for maybe 10 minutes. We got Nanci, who I have to say is such a sweet and patient woman. She was very accommodating to my child and even suggested he sit on my lap so he'd be more comfortable. When he wiggled, she spoke gently to him and had him at ease. Even when she used the clippers on him (which he's never allowed) she was slow enough for him to not be afraid. While it was a little more than I'd normally pay, I'd say it was definitely worth it, and I'll absolutely bring my little guy back to her. read more

I'm new to the area, a college student too so I don't have money for the $55 hair cuts you find in San Clemente. I thought to give this place a try despite its reviews. I have long hair that is color treated to the max and to boot its damaged (colored hair? who woulda thought). I made an appt just to be sure I wouldn't wait and when I got their I was promptly attended to. Nanci was GREAT. I explained that my last hair cut was months ago because I am trying to grow my hair longer and she said no problem. She was GREAT, trimmed just the right amount. I had a shampoo and ketatin treatment, both were fabulous and totally worth the money. Additionally I had Nanci help me when my bang problem and she offered very helpful advise in addition to styling it perfectly. Overall I had a GREAT experience and didn't spend an arm and a leg. Found Kayla at the other Supercuts in San Clemente, she moved this location when it opened. She is delightful. I used to use other high price salons in San Clemente, but after the recession thought I'd try Supercuts. Kayla has helped find a great style that I can do a lot with. She is even coloring my hair, which I wasn't sure about. I always call ahead so not to wait too long. I would recommend Kayla to all my friends. This morning I went to this super cuts in desperate need of a trim. My hair is very fine but I have a lot of it so I'm sometimes weary to have it cut by somebody I don't know. I had about a 30 minute wait. The hair stylist was very nice and understood my need of just a simple cut. She used a shampoo and conditioner that smelled amazing and she said would leave my hair shiny and soft. The cut was easy and she did a great job! I paid $5 for a shampoo and $18 for the haircut. I was disappointed at the end though that to get a standard blow dry it was $30. Charging more for a blow dry than a cut seems silly and I was disappointed that I had to go back home to dry my own hair or pay double to leave with it dry. Overall I had a good experience and would return if ever I need a walk-in cut in the future. read more

I go here for weekly blowouts. A treat that always makes my day better than when I went in. All the stylists are personable and do a really good job taming my frizz. The deep conditioning treatment is worth the few extra dollars. It makes my hair shine and lasts for weeks! read more

Living on a budget and getting a quality hair cut can sometimes be a challenge but I found a true hidden gem at this Supercuts. I asked for Stephanie after reading many positive reviews about her and she was as good as the reviews! I have Rheumatoid Arthritis & Fibromyalgia so pain is something I frequently deal with- Stephanie was incredibly attentive and asked me questions and listened to what I needed. After months of not being able to my hair- I was able to do my hair this morning without too much pain or struggle- cue happy tears. Thank you again Stephanie!!! My hair needed a cut and I have been going to this Supercuts since Fantastic Sam's moved out. I've had good cuts at a reasonable price and have not had any complaints. Last Friday I dropped in and had the amazing good fortune to have Ovsanna as my hair dresser. To say I was pleased would be an understatement. Not only did she give me an absolutely fantastic cut, but she taught me a tremendous amount in the short time I was there. I've been coloring my hair for many years, and had been very happy until the product I had been using was discontinued. I went from a semi-permanent dye to a permanent one and slowly the condition of my hair had been worsening. Dry, brittle ends, and just a generally unhealthy look and feel. I never put two and two together and realized it was the permanent dye that was frying my hair. Granted, I was putting it all over each time I used it, but that was how I had always used the semi-permanent. It took Ovsanna about 20 seconds to diagnose the problem and with a Paul Mitchell keratin product, and the great cut, restored the healthy shine and look of my hair. I can not believe the difference! Thank you Ovsanna so much! You are a great credit to your profession. read more

I just need a trim so I decided to pop in here while running errands one day. The cut was going to be $18... reasonable, $5 for the shampoo... also reasonable. When asked how much it would be to blow just - just simply BLOW DRY, not a blow out, just take the water out of my hair - I was quoted $35 dollars by the receptionist. I have medium length hair that is not very thick. I could not believe it! When I found out it was going to be nearly $60... I left without getting my hair cut. I needed a haircut very bad and i usually would drive to Brea to see my stylist I've been going to since I was in high school. Im unemployed at the moment so I couldn't afford to go to my usual Salon which charges $70 for a cut. I have a job interview tomorrow so wanted to look polished. I called and asked how much a cut was and I decided to go in. I was kind of nervous cause i have thick hair and have had other places mess up my hair cause they didn't know how to cut thick hair. I walked in and the environment was clean and nice. The girl at the front desk was very pleasant. I only waited about 5 minutes and i was taken by Cindy. She asked me how I wanted my hair cut and did exactly what i wanted.I spent a total of $23.00.....I am so happy i decided to take a chance with SuperCuts. Walked in today to get a haircut for my 6 year old son. Recommendation from a friend who takes her son. Told 20 min wait. A man came in after us, no appoint was asked to spell his last name twice. Said he was a friend of Bri. Bri took him before my son. (We had already waited 20 mins) Nobody at counter for another 10 mins, girl was on break. When she came back I walked up to let her know what happened. She couldn't find my sons name, she was the one who took our names. Said she was sorry. Bri took my son to the chair and she tried to tell me the guy had an appoint. I listened when he came in and know he did not. No apology from her at all. Checked out, another apology from girl at desk. Even asked if I wanted to tip her after that. (I always tip, this was a first I did not) I told her she should have given us the cut for free after this horrible service, or at the least a discount. Will never go back. Also make sure my girlfriend is aware, she took her son somewhere else last time. Horrible customer service. 45 minute wait. If I could give less than one star I would. read more

Went here for a simple trim to remove my dead ends in between salon sessions and very pleasantly surprised. Kayla cut my hair and did a wonderful job. She is very friendly attentive and did a great job asking the right questions to ensure I'm happy with the result. I even decided to give the ginger protein deep conditioning treatment a chance and love how shiny and soft my hair has become. I would definitely recommend Kayla to anyone. Having a bad hair day? Run down to Supercuts, ask for Lisa or Stephanie ( or both ) and prepare to be pampered. Arrived stringy, dry, brittle long hair with no shape or style - left with color that worked with my complexion, a style that looked great and required little management at home for me. And ...they left just the right length so I could still do a lazy ponytail ! They were kind, energetic and determined to combine both their talents to assure I got more than what I even asked for. And the LISTENED to what I hoped to achieve. ACTUALLY HEARD ME !! Stephanie handled color giving me options and solutions I did not even know were available ( had been stubbornly hanging on to grey because did not want to look like a desperate old lady with grey roots and hair color better suited for an 18 yr old ). Now I am age appropriate, not gaudy and yet youthful. Lisa worked endless to find the right style to flatter, yet be pretty and easy to do at home. Previous cutters swear my ultra thick head of hair grows as they cut it - so Lisa had a huge task to manage. All my friend think I am the cat's meow and have no idea it did not cost nearly as much as they pay. Lucky me ! If you need TLC, and competent salon service call and ask for either or both of these ladies. You will thank me and them !! read more
