It is finally grown out and is very healthy despite me trying to color it every 4 weeks. I'd be very cautious who you go to at this salon. I had highlights done with Noelle and have never had worse results. I asked for my highlights to be brought up slightly since they had grown out. I asked for a rooted, lived in look and said I prefer dimensions and ribbon placement as opposed to babylights. What I got was some random stripes, bleach bleed through marks. I also got breakage on my ends where she had pulled through bleach and left me under a dryer a lot longer than I've ever been under one. Including a photo of my hair before as it was very lovely and was just looking for some minor maintenance. I was charged $200 and followed up with her a couple days later and her response was that maybe I needed more root smudge. I had no confidence in her skills to go back to her to fix it and paid to go to another salon to have it corrected. *removed my before photo as it was made into a featured photo for the salon even though it was hair color not done at this salon. read more

Last month, I booked with Isabella to go platinum for 4th of July. From the start of the appointment everything seemed off. She wasn't organized and it seemed like she didn't know where any of the stuff was, seemed very off. As the appointment continued, the bleaching started and my head started to become very hot. When I informed her, she immediately wanted to rinse out my hair. When I got back to her chair, I was literally bald on my right side of my head! There was breakage everywhere and I was not happy! I asked her how she was going to fix this because I was not going to pay her for this! She said some light hair cutting and a toner would be my best option. I was not offered hair care or any sort of compensation. This girl must have been under the influence or something because this is ridiculous! read more

This review is for Isabella. A few months ago, I went and asked for a root shadow and she blended the wrong toner at first. So I had to stay an extra hour so she can fix it. She's super unprofessional and doesn't display her license so I am curious if she's actually licensed or not? I was made aware that she received this job because of her mom. Which I do find it super unprofessional to hire somebody based off family members. She seems very unfit to be in this business. She lacks hospitality and also I smelled a bit of alcohol from her? I came in a few months ago for a full highlight with Isabella and I was already nervous because hair literally changes your whole appearance! She was not talkative at all upon first greeting. When I showed her the picture of what I wanted she never really looked at it or asked me questions about the hair style and how I wanted it to look. Needless to say, it did not come out the way I wanted and I expressed this and I feel like she was very defensive. Not to mention she reeked of alcohol which I find extremely unprofessional when you have a job that can make or break someone's look. Just felt like I sat there with no conversation not like other hair dressers I've gone to. If you're not 100% present don't show up and mess up someone's hair carelessly. Just because the salon is in a nice area doesn't mean the stylists are nice. Most of them were not friendly or considerate there was a guest in the salon. I booked with Isabella for a root Touch up and blonde peek thrus. IT WAS NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR. Not only did she not complete my full roots, she said my virgin hair was too difficult since it's black. Which everybody knows virgin hair is a hairstylist dream To bleach! Her kno was very questionable. I heard this was a common issue with her after talking with other people but I figured I'd give it a try since I could not book with anyone else. Her personality was so rude and mean it made me very uncomfortable sitting in her chair. She talked a lot about partying and doing drugs with her friends which I found SUPER unprofessional. I absolutely love saltwater and highly recommend working with stylist Christine. She is super sweet and and absolute joy to speak with and I leave each appointment absolutely loving my hair. She really takes the time to understand both the cut and color you are looking for and is an expert at the "lived in" look. This review is for Amanda. Aside from being terrible with color, she is also unfortunately very rude, Immature, and offensive if you tell her you're not pleased. I arrived and showed her a picture of her own work (rooty blonde with golden blonde chunky highlights). What I got was a muddy brown almost green full head of baby highlights. Before I left I expressed my concerns and she said "you're being silly) laughed it off and sent me on my way. The sun was setting so I figured I may not be seeing it right in the mirror. She charged me for the service I paid plus tip. She contacted me 10 mins later saying oops I charged you the wrong amount (which is actually what I ended up paying her because I tipped heavy). I came home and noticed my hair was a very weird muddy color. The highlights also went all the way up. And it wasn't blonde at all or rooted. When I expressed my concern via text after I left saying my hair is completely different from what I asked and in fact darker than before I walked in, she replied back saying she "sniffed out that I'm a con artist" and won't be refunding me. I have attached pictures of what I asked for, what I ended up with, and my picture 2 weeks before I came in, and her unprofessional and retaliatory text message attacking my character instead of taking responsibility. read more

I was referred to Amanda from a friend that goes to Saltwater and she nailed my color the first time! It's been a year, and I'm never disappointed, even if I'm not sure what I want, Amanda just gets creative and does an amazing job! The prices are fair considering the experience and talent, Amanda is not going to fry your hair, which is valuable in a colorist! I have been going to saltwater since they opened about 3 years ago. I have always had the best experience and have gotten to know most the ladies here and love them all. I started with April, who I adore. She got me to platinum in the healthiest way. We spread it out over about a year to be sure not to fry my hair. She went on maternity leave so now I get my hair done by Ali, the owner. She takes such good care of my hair and keeps it so healthy. That's no small feat for platinum! I cannot recommend her and this studio enough. I have also referred 2 friends to Amanda and they absolutely love her. I'm naturally blonde and I have gone from black to platinum blonde and every color in between. Not once has my hair ever looked damaged, it's a miracle how she does it but my hair always seems to look extremely natural and healthy! She recently agreed to my latest idea to go red/copper. I originally went to this salon in March of 2020 and got a haircut from Alisa. I loved the way she cut my hair, so I went back to her a year later. I told her I was growing my hair out, I wanted the back of my hair trimmed with the front long, like an a-line bob, and that I wanted texture or layers added to the front of my hair. I told her that I had wavy/curly hair and wanted a cut to compliment that and help the waves stand out. She didn't ask any questions.. She ended up taking out half of my hair with thinning shears and proceeded to blow dry and straighten my hair. It looked okay when I left and I was happy it was shorter in the back, but I couldn't tell how short and thin it was in the front because she straightened it. I told her that I don't blow dry or style my hair at all ever. She never consulted me or told me the hairstyle wouldn't come out the way I wanted. I washed it the next day and was incredibly sad. She took off so much of my hair without ever checking in with me. I have NEVER had a stylist thin my hair so much ESPECIALLY without starting slow and checking in. None of this would be a problem except I contacted her afterwards and she essentially blew me off. I paid $95 for a haircut I didn't want and she is unwilling to refund even part of that. I've never had such a poor customer service experience ESPECIALLY with a hair stylist. I spoke to two different hair stylists before contacting Alisa and they both agreed that my haircut was not an a-line bob and that she thinned out way too much hair. They also thought it was very strange and rude that she would not give even a partial refund. I would NOT recommend Alisa. read more
