I am a senior with very processed hair and routinely go to this Supercuts for trims and highlights. Ive been satisfied with the results. Today, however, I was blown away by the best haircut and full head highlights I have had in decades. Laura, the hairstylist, did an amazing job with my cut and perfectly blended blond highlights and price was very reasonable. I would have paid at least 50% more at a high end salon. I highly recommend her and the salon, and I look at least 10 years younger. read more

Adequate Came in today as a last recourse because my hair stylist at another salon misunderstood me when I called for a root touch up and hair cut. She only had enough time for a hair cut. Tip for this SuperCuts salon: Call ahead to schedule your appt. When I came in, I was greeted with, "You called?" No ma'am. I walked in to see the prices of your services. Luckily, the hair stylist was able to take me in ASAP for root touch up. Service was adequate and quickly done. Only gripe: blow dry after the shampoo was poorly done. My other salon styled my hair well with perfect curls. This one, my stylist did a half-assed job of blowdrying my hair leaving it still semi wet and looking like a nest for birds. I went home and redid the blow dry. The good: -Clean establishment -Quick service The needs improvement: -For $55 for a root touch up, I hope the improve the hair drying/styling after. -Magazines at the waiting area are from 2016. You lost my business FOREVER. Last time you only had ONE person working so you had NO appointments available,? So this time I called on a Saturday and they said " we're not busy now if you want to come in." I got there and one lady was doing a tint job, another was putting a guy's hair in curlers, and the third was cutting a lady's hair for over 30 minutes. I don't expect to wait over 40 minutes when they say "come in now-we aren't busy." I walked out. Never again, Supercuts. You lost a long time customer. read more

I swear a god I'm not going in there again for a haircut. I went there for a haircut, no one welcomed me. Then i told her what kind of haircut i want. She was cutting the hair with upset face. When haircut is done, she asked me to put gel in hair, i said no i dont use gel due to chemicals. She replied "if you don't like gel then put sugar syrup in your hairs" i was like i didn't ask you for suggestions. Even though the experience was bad i put good tip on her table, and while paying for haircut the receptionist smiled and asked me for tip. read more

This particular super cuts is HORRIBLE. I called in for a wash & blowout. I asked for the best they had and the lady on the phone gave me Alina's name who was not in the store at the time and asked me to call back after 3pm. I called again after 3, spoke to Alina, she gave me an appointment for 5:30pm I get there at 5:30pm sharp, I see that she's finishing up a client's cut. She acknowledges me. I patiently wait for her to finish. 5 minutes later another stylist says she will take me and I said thank you, but I am waiting for Alina. Right then, Alina had the audacity to tell me that she has a color appointment at 6pm therefore she can't take me. Wait a minute..you're the one who made my appointment in the first place?!! She had no answer, she just stood there dumbfoundedly and kept saying "oh this other stylist is good I promise. I'm right here if you need anything." She gave no apology. Nothing. I said to her excuse me but this is highly unprofessional of you! Why did you confirm my appointment for 5:30 specifically with yourself when you already had appointments? How does that make any sense??? That only goes to show me that you're RACIST. As soon as you saw me in person you decided to discriminate and make up some bullshit excuse. At 5:45pm her color client was in the seat and at 6:10pm she took another client for a cut. Because I was desperate, I decided to go with the other stylist, giving her benefit of the doubt. I specifically told her that I wanted a voluminous, big hair blow out. During the wash, she was so rough she banged the side of my head against the sink. Not only that, she overloaded my hair with serum and some other product. End result: greasy & stiff hair. TOTAL DISASTER. Alina was watching the entire disastrous episode and did not even care to help her out. They let me walk out with disgusting hair. It ruined my evening and I did not end up going to the wedding party. Alina is straight up RUDE, RACIST, A LIAR, DISHONEST, AND HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. She reflects VERY negatively on Super Cuts. They really should consider firing her! AVOID AT ALL COST. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE PEOPLE. SAVE YOUR TIME, DIGNITY, AND MONEY. Super cuts management, if you're reading this. If I could give as few or as many stars as I possibly desired, this place would have -5. I have been to multiple Supercuts locations and never had a bad experience. Obviously, when I moved out to this area, I found my local Supercuts and put trust in their employees. The first few times were great, just like my other experiences! But then in January 2014, one woman chopped the shit out of my hair. She styled it in an effort to make it better, but it just wasn't what I wanted, nor what I asked for. I figured this was just a fluke and visited there a few more times (making sure I didn't have that same employee) and again it was great. Then on August 12th I came back. I had just gotten married and wanted to do something different with my hair, since I had been growing it out for the wedding. I showed this woman a picture of what I wanted and she said no problem. She washed my hair and we went back to the chair to get down to business. This woman literally butchered my hair. I wanted a "dramatic inverted bob with it still LONG in the front." That is exactly what I told her when I showed her the picture depicting what I asked for. Nope. She chopped. And then kept chopping and chopping. So much that she had to shave my neck. My beautiful long hair was shredded so poorly that it couldn't even be donated. She completely messed up the layers and when she was done ruining everything that I had dreamed of hair wise, she fought with me saying "that looks exactly like your picture!" If there weren't small children waiting for their haircuts I would have really fought back, but instead I told her she was wrong, she ruined my hair and now there's nothing I can do because she RUINED my hair. I walked out with my husband and really had wished he hadn't prepaid for the abomination that was my haircut. I didn't tip her and she doesn't deserve any type of praise. I will never be returning again and can't begin to tell you my severe disappointment. read more

I have been here twice and I'm done trying. They are rude, no personality when speaking to you. Both times I've gone with my son, and they tell me , "there are three people ahead of you." Mind you, no one else is in the shop. We sit and wait patiently, then 15 min later they are like, "okay, I'll just take you now." I don't get it. Terrible experience. Scheduled an appointment the night before for root touch-up. Came in the next day 15 minutes early for my appointment and they said I wasn't in the schedule. And all the while they were giving me weird looks for it. Like...SORRY that one of your employees forgot to schedule me...? Then they kept asking me if I was getting a full color when I had already made it clear that I just needed my roots done. I didn't really mind though and I was nice about it. However, yet another weird look. I told them I could come another day if it was easier for them. To which one of them gave the most half-assed/sarcastic "No, it's fine" I have ever heard. WTF. I read some of the negative reviews and all I can say is that I've been going to this Supercuts for almost 20 years. I usually get a decent haircut and usually don't have to wait long. It's a chain haircut place so it is what it is. Some stylists are exceptional, some just ok. When I go there it's just to get a haircut, not make friends. If you are very demanding and particular about your hairstyle you probably should go to a private salon and just pay the money. read more

This location is in MOUNT PROSPECT--- Margaret is my go-to haircutter supreme. I was fortunate to get her by sheer luck a year ago, and would never want anyone else to cut my hair. Worst experience ever a hair dresser that works one a week cut my hair and it was very very bad. I told her I wanted a 2 on the sides and trim the top. She said she was going to fade it failed to do so. Also my hair was uneven on all sides I had to go back and have them fix it which they ended up basically buzzing my hair. Came here again after having a bad experience about a year ago, thought I would give it another try today. I didn't see the employee who had cut my hair last and RUINED my hair. I asked for a wash, cut and style. I showed 3 pics of what I wanted. I wanted a long bob with face framing layers. My layers don't even match on both sides. I have layers every where and it looks so drastic and terrible. Last time there I looked like they have me a bowl cut... This time it's the same exact thing but just longer grazing my shoulders and with 2 distinct layers. They don't know how to cut layers or interpret pics here and they don't care if you're happy. When I asked her to curl my hair like the pic she BARELY curled it. It just looked like a kinked wave and not smooth at all. I will never come back. I'll never give this place another chance again. Now I have to go to another salon to have my hair fixed so my layers can be symmetrical.....I knew I shouldn't have taken the chance and i learned my lesson. Ladies... When I first was introduced to SuperCuts by a friend I wasn't sure if it was going to be a good experience. I thought that with the cheaper cost the overall quality would decrease as well. I was WRONG! One of the most friendliest hair stylists there is Margaret. She is nice and easy to talk to. Plus, she cuts hair like no other! I would definitely recommend this location! read more
