I read the reviews of the salon and was confident that I would be getting a great cut. I have officially gotten the worst haircut that I have ever had with Rosie. I called and asked for someone who knows how to cut short fine hair. She does not! Hack job over the ears that looks beyond horrible. I'm so disappointed and upset. The only thing I can do is wait for my hair to grow out while wearing a hat. I would really think twice before booking with Rosie. And, yes I did show her pictures of what I wanted and did preface please do not cut over the ears, as I always wear my hair short. IT is not true that I said that I am never happy with my haircuts. I very clearly asked her to not cut over the ears. Either way doesn't really matter I WILL NOT RETURN. I will go to a professional place next time. Looking at my picture you can obviously tell that she does not know how to cut hair. This is an unacceptable cut! I seriously do not understand how you would think this is acceptable. I'll preface this review by telling you, I haven't had a haircut in over a year. I rarely like hair salons, and even more rare is to find someone who can cut my hair exactly how I want it. I usually just trim the ends myself but I was going for a big chop this time, I requested an appointment online and that same day someone called me to schedule it. When I walked in it was so cute and cozy, they offered me a drink and took my coat. Savannah was my hair stylist and she was awesome! She listened to what I wanted, explained a few things while she was using them like the shampoo, conditioner, products. I went in a little nervous and left feeling great! I highly recommend coming in, the scalp and hand massage are worth the price of the haircut themselves! Also, Savannah is incredibly talented and sweet, so 10/10 in my books; I will be coming back! read more

I've been going to Pure Salon since they have opened. I am always happy with the color and cut they do. Not only are they professional and affordable, they are accommodating to my own picky preferences. They are definitely worth my hour drive! I've noticed a few bad reviews and I can't help to think maybe it has something to do more with the stress of COVID 19. They always reach out to the clients on yelp to address their concern. I just moved to the area from California, and I had my hair cut at another local salon. I decided to cut bangs into my hair, after about 3 years without them. I went to the other salon, and showed her several pictures of how I wanted my bangs to look. This particular stylist hacked my bangs. I mean, I could have done a better job myself. Nothing is worse than a hairstylist who clearly wants to be somewhere else when she is cutting your hair AND during the time when you are cutting in bangs after growing them out over a long period of time. So, after my bangs were chopped, I spent even more time on Yelp trying to find a salon who could help fix my bangs. Pure is close to my house, and the 5 star ratings cannot be ignored! I was able to get an appointment that day with Iasmina. She fixed my bangs in the best way she could and I was so thankful. She spent time with me looking at how they were cut, and she fixed some other issues with my haircut that I did not like. I am now a few weeks out from my appointment, and my bangs are growing in perfectly. They still are not exactly what I want, but they are so much better because of what Iasmina did with them. I scheduled my next appointment with her immediately. Front desk staff was super friendly (Becky!) and she gave me a tour of the salon when I came in. I have never experienced this before, and I thought it was such a nice touch. It is really clean and bright, and everyone is very friendly. I would highly recommend this salon. read more

I've tried a number of local salons; most seem to be run like assembly lines, with a revolving staff at varied experience levels, mostly indifferent to the customer, and the chaotic atmosphere of a train station at rush hour. Pure Salon, happily, is different! I received a high-quality cut in a cozy, drama-free, welcoming environment. Dawn, the co-owner, was personable and professional, and knows a lot about hair! Several extra services are included gratis: aromatherapy, hand massage. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Products are available for purchase but no hard-sell. I am fairly new to the area and am working on finding a salon/ stylist whom meets my expectations. I ended up at Pure Salon after having a tragic color experience at another salon and needed fixing fast as I was leaving in a few days for a long trip. Pure Salon went above and beyond to squeeze me in for services to color correct. Due to the short amount of time available prior to my travel my hair was not perfect, but Pure Salon at least made me feel comfortable with my hair color. I will definitely be giving these girls another try after my hair has grown out some. Downside is parking can be limited depending on the time of day. There is two hour paid street parking and 3 hours free parking at the assigned areas in the Arlington station. Prices for salon are as expected. read more

I went to Pure Salon for a smoothing treatment and cut. Ashely was absolutely wonderful and explained the product she was using and how she customized it for my hair. I could easily tell that Ashely had vast amount of knowledge and experience with different treatments and hair products. I have priced out the treatment at a few different salons and Pure Salon was very comparable. AshIey was also very receptive to how picky I am with my hair and cut it just how I wanted! I am often hesitant to try new salons, especially getting a hair treatment that can take a few hours but I couldn't have asked for a better experience and even better results. I made an appointment in advance for a root touch up and let them know I had 2 hours. I was quoted a price of $55-60. When I arrived the only real conversation I had with Magda was the fact she asked me about some partial foils on top. I told her she was the expert. I should have asked about cost - it was another $100 for a partial foil which came as a big surprise. I began to panic when I was left to sit alone for 30 minutes especially after the color timer went off twice. I was not able to get my hair styled. It was barely dry when I left - 20 minutes late. There was no consultation and no conversation. I was very disappointed in the whole experience. I would never return. The entire experience for a root touch up and blow dry which was what I had scheduled cost me $200. read more

Having just moved into the area, and preparing to start a new job, I needed a new salon. after a quick search I found Pure, and I am so glad that I did. When I first arrived for my haircut, Becky gave me a tour and explained how they do things in the salon, and offered me several options for beverages. She was wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Iasmina took me to her chair, listened to what I wanted for my cut, and gave a relaxing head and neck massage with aromatherapy oils to start. During the shampoo, she laid a warm scented towel over my hair and gave me a soothing hand massage. My haircut was exactly what I had asked for, and came out looking fantastic. Due to time limits, I wasn't able to do a cut and color at the same appointment, so I returned at a later date for the color service. I was welcomed by Emily this time, who was just as lovely as Becky had been at my first appointment. Iasmina again took excellent care of me, listening to my exact color desires, and finding a perfect balance that would work for my skin tone and based on the current state of my hair based on previous color outgrowth and overall length. She was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. And she made me look great! I could not be more please with my services so far, and I intend to return for future hair care needs. read more

Hmmm, based on all the five star reviews I really wish I could have had my hair done here. Instead I showed up today for my eight am appointment for a cut and color and left with neither. When I called two weeks ago for my first appointment the woman on the phone asked what I wanted done and I told her a cut and color. She told me she'd put me in the system for a single process. Sounded good to me considering I am not a hair stylist. I went in today and was informed that since I previously had ombré in my hair, the ends would need to be repigmented before the color. The stylist told me she didn't have time to do that. So she went to the back to get the owner Ashley to see if she had time. Ashley came out and reiterated what the stylist had told me and then informed me that because another client was scheduled to get her hair done while mine was processing, I would need to wait an hour to even get my hair cut!! So not only could they not give me the color I had made my appointment for, I now needed to wait an hour just for a cut. I decided to pass. Seems to me with a new client you would try to put some effort into making an appointment work even if it slightly throws off the day. I'm not sure how I would be expected to know that I needed an additional treatment on my hair and to make a longer appointment, since again, I am not a stylist. The sad thing is, after this debacle, there wasn't even an attempt to make it right. What a horrible experience as a first time customer! read more

The owners are some of the nicest and most professional women you will ever meet. They keep the salon very clean and welcoming. The employees are all friendly and helpful. Most important, they do great hair. I mostly go with Ashley and I have never been disappointed in a cut or color job. I selected to go to Pure based on reviews and what I read on the web site and was extremely happy. I was looking to change my long kept chunky highlights to a more natural looking but with dimension look. Dawn was very helpful and listened to what I was trying to achieve. She made great suggestions and explained all. The color came out great! The cut looks really good too and will take a few appointments as I have lots of layers which need to grow more to even out but it was a step in right direction you can tell. I'm very pleased with the end result . I also like the atmosphere of a smaller intimate salon and was not difficult to get an evening appointment. I had been searching for a new salon and based on reviews decided to try Pure Salon. I was not disappointed. From the beginning when I called and scheduled my appointment I had great customer service. I called and explained my hair "issues" and the receptionist made sure my appointment was set up with the stylist who could best assist me. The staff and owners at Pure couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly.
