My stylist (Alyssa) has been my favorite hair stylist for close to a year now. I met her at Sport Clips, and when she transitioned out; I had to follow. The Salon was a bit intimidating at first; only because I'm use to the machine of get in get out; but was pleasantly surprised when Alyssa gave me the time I was hoping for. She paid a lot of attention to detail and worked through some kinks in my hair, done by a hair dresser at Sport Clips a month prior. The pricing is about the same as your chain hair-cuttery but the service is a bit better. The only down side to Modern Wave is it's quite(!) Almost to quiet. I feel like they could turn up 'today's hits' radio station. This would allow the hair dressers to interact with their clients a bit better; with personality :D p.s. Everyone loves my cut; and so do I. I'll definitely be returning; as long as Alyssa is there :D

Suzy does a fabulous job cutting hair on men and women. I came here for a post Covid haircut. Suzy washed, cut, dried, and styled my hair for $30. GPS will take you to this large office circle. Turn left for the 100's and right for the 200's. Make an appointment. When you arrive, stay in your vehicle and the stylist will call to let you know when to come inside. Because of Covid, there is not a waiting area inside. Wear your mask to the room and ask your stylist if you may remove your mask. The hallway and room that I went to were very clean.

Most of the stylists do very well at listening to my requests of barely cutting anything off. Everyone there is very kind as well. However, do not allow Dawn cut your hair. I was extremely specific, like I always am about my hair, and requested the smallet amount to be cut off then to touch up my layers. She hacked off a chunk (solid 6 inches) near my face and didn't even attempt to blend in the layers. It looks absolutely horrible. My hair is curly and grows slowly, so the length is very important to me. Not one of my friends could sugar-coat it and lie to me saying, "it's not so bad". Every one of them told me it was horrible. Kim was thankfully there the next day when I returned to cry/complain, and she did her best at covering up this horrid mess. The heart-felt manager called and we worked out some deals. I'll be returning, but only to see Kim exclusively.

Before Jessica, I never had a go-to person for haircuts. I'd always pop around from place to place. But after my first cut with Jessica, things changed. I decided to try growing my hair out longer, something I had never done before. I had always had a short haircut, ever since my time in the Navy. I had no idea what I was doing, so I went in and told her my thoughts and asked her to guide me. She prepared me for the awkward stages of growing out hair and gave it trims to keep things tidy and styled appropriately for the length. By the end, it looked pretty awesome in my opinion. Now, I've gone a bit shorter, but with more style than ever before. I trust her to cut it however she thinks will look good, and she never disappoints. I highly recommend going to Sports Clips in Cary and booking an appointment with Jessica. You will be locked in like I am now.
