She was patient and took the time to make sure I walked out if the salon looking like a million bucks. I live in LA. I am now going to return to Cary (where I grew up) to get my hair cut at Dolce Day Spa. This should tell you the level of talent and inviting environment the women of Dolce turn out. I saw Tory last week, and she did a superb job with my hair. I have long layers, and I like stylists to use the razor to cut them. She was the first stylist I've ever had who dried my hair after she did the trim off the ends, so she could cut with the razor on dry hair. I'd always thought razoring on dry hair is what makes the most sense, but no one has ever done it that way before. This cut is by far the best I've had, and I can't wait to get back to Cary and to Dolce Day Spa. read more

In one word, amazing. Simply put, Dolce Day Spa will transform your hair and it will exceed your expectations. I was in and Jessica did a bayalage on my hair, it was exactly what I was wanting - better yet, even after months of washing (with regular shampoo - nothing fancy), blow drying and straightening the beautiful color remained and the compliments continued. I have been meaning to make an appt to go back but haven't had the chance, I will for sure be back and will be bringing friends :) The salon is beautiful. Modern and clean, the girls and friendly and outgoing, make you feel wonderful. Pricing is about average, paid about $150 for the bayalage treatment. Took about 4 hours, which is also average, so make sure to eat before you go :) read more

I went to enjoy a day of pampering right before Christmas and boy was I pampered! This place is in a nice tucked away location (plenty of parking) in Cary and with all the Christmas decor it looked beautiful when I stepped in. Immediately I was taken care of, my coat was taken and was offered infused water or Aveda tea..I chose the tea of course...if you have ever been to an Aveda spa...take the tea, it starts the experience for you. I was also given a bottle of water. Within minutes I was taken into the treatment room and the treatment itself was great. I had the plant peel and body scrub. The only thing with the scrub is that it is very light and gentle and I didn't feel like it was all over. Front of legs, front of arms then back of legs and back of arms. There was no effort in it either...just light whisking and done. If that is the only negative then it's pretty good. Then I was transferred to the steam shower. I wish I was told how to use it since most people dont have these...nevertheless I figured it out and was blinded by the steam LOL. It was actually really nice once I actually relaxed. Plenty of clean white towels (one of my favorite things in life!) The technician saw that I had some product in my hair so she sent me back into the steam shower to wash it. After I got dressed she took me to the salon and they did a blowdry...and when they found that I preferred my hair done...they styled it...all complimentary! This was a wonderful added bonus to an already pampering experience. The price was very reasonable, the one on one attention was great, I even bought a bunch of products because they had a discount for the holidays. I was also given a percentage off coupon for more visits. Overall a full spa experience. It would have been a nice addition to have a softly lit relaxation room for before and after like some spas do...it really helps you clear your head before and calmly gear up to leave. Usually these rooms are very plush and candle lit with some kind of water sounds and fresh flowers, tea etc. Just a humble suggestion. I received a gift certificate & decided to get a Swedish massage. I was looking forward to checking this place out as I usually go to Mario Tricocci for my massages. Unfortunately, the whole experience was a huge disappointment. They never told me who the massage was with & when I went in I said that I wasn't sure who it was with & instead of telling me she said she couldn't find a form to fill out & that my masseuse would be out to get me soon. A lady came out from the spa & handed me a clipboard & said didn't you fill this out yet? I told her no one gave me one & she just walked away. I filled it out & waited until she came back out & told me to follow her. Never once introducing herself & I still wasn't sure if she was the person that would be giving me my massage. She took me to a room & asked if anything was bothering me so I told her. She never asked what kind of pressure I like & I felt like I was more of a burden being there than anything. She started & It was the worst massage I've ever had. It's hard to have a bad massage but this felt awkward & almost like she wasn't sure what she was doing. Her pressure was almost non existent & she was fumbling & kept taking her hands off me. At the end she rubbed my neck & suddenly took her hands off me & said loudly I'm done now & just walked out of the room. Didn't offer me water, help me up, tell me where to go. Very strange. When I made my way to the front desk she was up there talking to the girl at the front desk & didn't say anything else to me. She looked at me & walked away. I had the gift certificate & it was for more than the massage so I asked to use the difference for the tip which I've always done in other spas if there's some remaining. She said no they couldn't do that because it would have to be written on the gift certificate & it wasn't. I tried to challenge that but she wouldn't budge so I said fine I'll need to charge it & she said I couldn't do that either. She pointed to an ATM & told me to use that which I paid a $3 fee for. As I was using the ATM she then told me I couldn't use the remainder of the gift certificate for product either, not that I asked. This place definitely didn't offer a spa quality experience. I felt like an inconvenience even being there. With all of the competition in the area, I'm surprised people come back. Maybe getting your hair done there is a different experience but I definitely do not recommend the spa area & now they have an extra $15 from my gift certificate that I won't be using because I won't be back. Unfortunately, I did not read the previous review by Amanda W. and I also booked a massage with a gift certificate I received at Christmas. This massage was so bad I wouldn't even call it a massage. The therapist, Ashley, didn't appear to know what she was doing. She applied lotion to my skin without even a hint of pressure. I asked her three times to apply more pressure and she didn't even respond to me. At the end of the massage, she told me "thank you for challenging me". I find it hard to believe that she went to or completed her massage therapy training. She was terrible - her affect and her technique. This was a waste of my time and money and I told the receptionist. The owner did contact me and offered a complimentary massage by a different therapist. Alex was polite, professional and provided an excellent massage. Thank to the owner for taking the time to hear me out and correcting the situation. read more

I went there as a surprise for my Birthday on the 27th and let me tell you it was amazing. I had never had a facial or a massage and I was a little nervous but thought what the hell it is a surprise BD gift. My Husband worked with them and set it all up, from the Champagne, roses and the cake. First was the facial the most relaxing zen thing I have ever done from beginning to end it was amazing and I did not want to leave the room when she was done I was so in heaven but onto the massage. Never have had one before I was I apprehensive about it but Alex is wonderful he gets you relaxed explains everything to you and that guy can get those knots out for sure, He has amazing hands folks!! Okay now we return for day 2 for mani and pedi, I have had a mani before and had always wanted a pedi and she lived up to and exceeded my expectation. We spent 3 1/2 hours there talking laughing and getting them done and she was so wonderful and talented. And may I remind you we spent the whole day there the day before. The place is clean and smells great and everyone was so beyond nice and helpful. We have found a place where we feel comfortable and treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I can honestly say this is my first 5 star rating and we have already scheduled our next mani and pedi and I am sure a facial and another massage won't be far away. We fell in love with everyone we came into contact with at this spa, so stop reading this and go make an appointment and get pampered and enjoy and treat yourself and your spouse to a wonderful relaxing time!! read more

I have been to Dolce Day Spa several times in the past for Facials that are just amazing. My experience this time was not so good. I got a manicure and pedicure which was below adequate. The girl who did my nails was very nice and the people at the salon are very nice, but for the price I paid, my services should have been much better. I usually get my nails done from a little place in Cary for $30 bucks for both and here the pedicure alone was $45. They did not do anything extra or special then my place that charges $30 for both. To be honest my $30 mani and pedi are better and my girl there takes a lot more time and provides a lot more detail. The girl missed a lot of my nail on fingers and toes with the polsih and my manicure already looks like it is a week old b/c she did not polish down to the cuticle so it looks like the out growth is a week old instead of 2 days old. Don't waste your money on this kind of service. I was very disappointed and felt like I wasted $45 dollars. read more

Very nice and friendly but not very good at carrying out what they say... decided to go here for my prom hair because i know someone who has and they loved it, got a consult with a hairstylist so we could talk and see if she could mimic what I wanted. I showed her an EXACT picture of what I was looking for and she said she could do it no problem. Knowing she was confident I was relieved when I went back the day of prom. I was seriously let down by the fact that my hairstylist promised she could deliver exactly what I wanted but failed to. Keep in mind this was not a hard hairstyle I went to another place right after and they did it on the first try. I've heard many good things about the salon but unfortunately my experience was not anywhere close to what I wanted. read more

Wow. I went in looking like something the cat dragged in, and walked out looking like a million. On a whim, I went in looking for a change in hair style. This was my first time there. Jeta had an opening a few hours later, so I came back and *poof* she transformed me! She did a fantastic job of taking her time and listening to what I was looking for, and delivered above and beyond! Well done Jeta!! Before my cut, I again had a last-minute inspiration to treat myself to a massage (I guess I was feeling less poor that day!). *Poof* again! Alex had an opening that coincided w/the end of my hair appt. ALEX IS TERRIFIC. Listens to what you need, and went about working my perennial problem areas. I am also a bodyworker, and tend to have a critical eye when it comes to bodywork of any kind. Alex is very professional, and you can tell he loves what he does. Well done Alex!!!!! I will return. I tried this salon after reading the positive reviews on Yelp. I had an appointment for a full highlight and a cut. My stylist was Tory, who is very young and barely spoke but was overall polite. The highlight was very average but the cut was not at all what I expected. I was very clear about what I wanted done and had a picture with me. I felt as though my hair had barely been trimmed when I left, let alone with layering, razor cutting, etc. that I had asked for. I would not return to this salon, especially given their prices. As a new client, I was given a one-time 10% discount but was still charged $162 for the highlight (on short hair) and cut. The cut was insignificant enough that I had to get my hair cut again just 2 weeks later. My next appointment was at Mario Tricoci 5 minutes down the street, where I received an excellent haircut from a stylist that listened to everything I said.
