Carol came and talked about all the benefits of massage - things I never knew about! I was definitely a person who has never been interested in massage therapy and knew nothing about it. She blew me away with her knowledge! Through my pregnancy when I started getting towards the end I learned that through all of my lifting and workouts I had made my body really tight and not necessarily prepared for childbirth. I quickly booked a massage at a local, corporate massage place and instantly regretted it. The person had no idea how to massage a pregnant person and was basically doing a typical massage on a pregnancy table. That's when I contacted Carol and set up an appt with her. From the moment I walked in I could tell this experience would be different. She has such a calm demeanor and instantly put me at ease. Her room is calming and smells wonderful! She knew all about different oils to use, pressure points and different massage techniques to do at different stages of pregnancy. I had done a lot of research on these things and she was talking about all of it before I mentioned a thing! She is very cutting-edge in her training, but that is backed with years of experience. I have never felt so confident in someone's expertise and ability in a long time. The massage itself was so relaxing and everything I needed at the time. I saw her a handful of times leading up to my pregnancy and she was awesome about fitting me in when I had time to come see her. It was honestly the best part of the last weeks of my pregnancy and I wish I had gone to her sooner. My body felt great, I felt more relaxed, my mental state was better, and it was just some great "me" time before the baby came. She would even talk to me about massages to do and pressure points to engage to help with some of the problems I was having. Facial: I was able to book a facial with Laura that day-- which is rare! My lucky day! I've received a couple facials with Laura in the past that helps my face look fresh, bright, even and young. This visit we had time for a 60 minute session which is 50 minutes hands on. I arrived in my mask 10-15 min early to fill out new intake paperwork and covid information/screening. I met with Laura and she helped me decide what upgrades are best for the results I'm looking for-- brighter and even skin. I decided to upgrade to the microdermabrasion and rejuvenating facial. I undressed to my comfort level; my mask off, top off (pulled bra down to my waistline) and slipped under the sheets. Laura was able to access my face, head, shoulders and neck. Laura gave me information on the tools while using them because I asked questions. I guess I'm that curious client that talks ! Haha! I enjoyed the microdermabrasion add on because I felt like it pulled off the dead skin for new Collagen to grow. I do recommend this add on service. After the facial my face was a little red (which is common) but now It's been a couple days since my service and my skin looks even and bright.
