Don't we all hate trying to find a good hair stylist? Don't we all just hate it when we have a bad experience with one? When we have a particularly weird or bad experience, doesn't it make you want to shout from the rooftops to not patronize such a place or person? I've had just that, a really bad and weird experience. Several months with one stylist at Salon Zara (DeeDee) trying to be patient and explaining what I like, and don't like about my previous cut, hoping that she would learn what it is that I wanted. She just kept telling me there is nothing wrong with my cut, and from her perspective I'm sure she was right, but from my perspective it was not what I wanted. On my 3rd visit she did get it right...YAY!!! So on my 4th visit I told her my previous cut was perfect, just what I wanted. When she cut my hair again it was not quite right, so on my 5th visit I told her what I liked and didn't like about the cut. She told me to go somewhere else! I forgot to mention that she had colored my hair on one of my visits, I told her I didn't want it to look brassy and she assured me it wouldn't, it totally did! So after DeeDee refused to cut my hair I had to go somewhere else. My new stylist thought that I had colored my own hair, when I told her that I had really only wanted some highlights and that DeeDee told me my hair was too short for highlights, my new stylist said she had never heard of such a thing and that my hair was long enough to foil even. My experience with DeeDee at Salon Zara was not good and her firing me has left me feeling even worse. I was never rude to her and I never asked her for the impossible. I think her treatment of me was so outrageous that I still can't even comprehend it.
