My family and I have been getting our haircut with Teresa for over 10 years. Although she has moved around quite a bit, we've managed to follow and keep up with her because she is really amazing. Teresa is especially good at cutting and layering hair for both men and women. We have never had a bad experience and that's why we always come back. They have some very rude people working at this place. I made an appointment for myself and my daughter to get blowouts for the both of us. They told me different prices over the phone and totally different prices when we walked in, which I can understand to a point because it depends on the length of your hair but the girl that was supposed to do my daughter's hair was very rude with an attitude like she was doing us a favor. She was very unprofessional, made my daughter and myself feel very uncomfortable; so much so that we got up and left. Quite possibly the worst haircut ever gotten in the last 10 years. I guess you really do get what you pay for. I walked in the door and the two stylist that we're still there were arguing about something. Then got a haircut and the lady just absolutely butchered half my head. I will never go back here. There are few changes that I don't care for: 1) They removed the TV years ago, so during cubs/hawks games I went somewhere else as not to miss the games 2) They now don't take appointments unless the stylist is actually there. read more

If i could give negative, I would. Rude, rude, rude is the only word I can think of when it comes to the blonde stylist; Cheryl I believe is her name. Not to mention rough. My 12 year old told said to me "Mom. She was mean. She kept yanking my head around really hard." Why let people put name on list if they go in only to be told ANOTHER 30-45 minutes?? I started going to Zana a couple months ago and quite honestly, I've enjoyed each haircut I've gotten from her. Just know what you want and she'll execute. Love this place for the money AS LONG AS I NEVER HAVE CHERYL !!!!!!!!!! SOOOO much of her PERSONAL phone calls, PERSONAL Drama, all about CHERYL attitude. I have been getting haircuts and color at the Patriot Blvd. Supercuts for three years and really like the cuts done by Zarina (not sure how to spell her name). Some other stylists there don't do so well cutting my wavy hair. Zarina gets 4 stars. The single star should be zero stars for the non-service I got this month. I called ahead and was told to come in at 6:45, and when I arrived there were two stylists and only one customer, but there were five or six appointment slips on the counter and mine had been thrown in the trash can. The stylist said they couldn't do my hair because they didn't have my color. I said my cut was long overdue, and it would be OK to use a similar color, but she refused and gave a weird excuse about changing all their colors and without even using a "sorry" dismissed me. Since the other stylist had pulled my wadded up appointment slip out of the trash can, I assume someone else had been given my time slot. I'll be getting my hair done elsewhere from now on. read more

It all depends on who cuts your hair. Martha and an Asian lady that have cut my hair do an excellent job. This other person who works on Sundays butchered my hair twice. She will not be cutting My hair again! In the future, I will only have Martha or the Asian lady cut my hair. read more

I called ahead to make an appointment, but when I arrived I was told to wait thirty minutes as they were running behind schedule. After waiting for about twenty five minutes, I was seated. I told the person cutting my hair, Stephanie, how much I wanted my hair cut, but she ended up cutting my hair completely different than how other places cut it despite the same information given. It seems that you, as the customer, have to adhere to how they cut people's hair rather than the other way around. I don't know if I can say that this place is terrible based on one person's performance, but I can honestly say that Stephanie is horrible at cutting hair. She seems to have only one mode of cutting hair - use clippers and do it fast. If you see a heavyset, dark-haired woman with glasses (possibly Indian), make sure that you request another person. I would recommend Teresa, because she cut my hair the way it is normally cut. She took the time to look at how my hair was and cut it so that it looked exactly the way it was a few weeks ago. read more

I went to just have 1" cut. This was a simple straight cut which is why I went to super cuts. Zarina ( name she told me ...by the time I asked for it she knew I was very unhappy with the job she did...) cut 3" off. She kept insisting in order to make it even she needed to cut this much. I asked to see any of the hair she cut that was at the 1" I requested but she said it was on the floor and mixed with other people's hair. There was no hair that was 1". It was an awful experience. If she can't do a simple cut I would be very wary of going to this super cuts. read more

Zana was amazing and a life saver! I had an hour break from serving tables in 80+ degree weather, my head was nothing but shag, and I felt on the verge of heat stroke. Zana not only saw the original shape and cut beneath the shag, she made it lighter while also making sure my hair still looked full and styled. Once again all I have to do is wash and go if I'm limited for time. This is by far the best Supercuts location I have been to; and you can be sure it was mostly because Zana saved the day! I went back to work (on time mind you, bless this woman and her quick skill!), and received multiple compliments, which was great because I was on a double and exhausted, but nobody could tell thanks to my hair looking fabulous! Go see Zana for sure; you will not be disappointed. This is from someone who is beyond picky in cut and style and there isn't a single thing I think she missed a chance to improve upon. Checked in online. Promised zero wait time. I get there. Two people available. And yet I'm made to wait for over 10 minutes. In my view, defeats the purpose of checking in online. Also - one the haircut people always have to get the phones which doubles the time of your haircut. However I'm most miffed about Checking in online and then having to wait - especially when there are multiple people available. If they want to take breaks that should be factored into the expected wait time and not made as zero. read more

I don't understand why S.T. wrote the comment back in September about Cheryl. She has been cutting my families hair for years and we followed her from the Des Plaines store the Store on Patriot Blvd. I have a son with Autism and never have a problem with this location. Other places ( including other Supercuts - Niles - on Dempster and Harlem and the one at Touhy and Harlem ( except Angie) have outright refused to cut my son's hair if he is a little agitated. Cheryl takes the time to talk to him and get's him comfortable. We will always follow Cheryl to whatever Salon she is at in the Chicago Metro Area. read more

I've been going to higher end salons for 40 years to get my hair cut. I would go to the same person for several years, then they would quit, or move to a salon further away from where I lived, and I would have to find another person. I finally bit the bullet and decided to go to a "Supercuts", which happens to be 5 minutes from my house and which I know was low priced, so I always figured it would be so-so haircuts. (You know, "You get what you pay for"). Well, let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit. Yes, I had to wait, but that is the way it is. So I learned to call in advance for an appointment, and hardly ever wait now. But that's not the best part. What I was so happy with was the lady who cut my hair. Her name is Martha. She not only is one of the friendliest and pleasant people I've dealt with in the hair cutting world, she also can cut hair! Each time I've gone in, (probably about 6 times now over 1 and half years), she has listened to me and given me a great cut. Today was the best yet! I showed her several pictures of what I wanted, (knowing that you can't always get the cut you want, if you don't have the same hair as the person in the picture!), and she did a fantastic job. The lady who cut my hair was dreading that the day wasn't over, and all she would be doing was complaining. As a customer, it was not a pleasurable experience nor did I get the full attention from the stylist that I should have had. It was not a good sign of how service should be handeled. I have never been so nervous while getting a haircut. The lady who cut my hair cut my side bangs and layers so short of what I asked. There were only two ladies working and someone else came in for a hair color. In the middle of cutting my hair, the other lady asked if we could switch so my lady could color someone's hair and the other one could continue cutting mine. I was so unsatisfied with the service and the end result. During payment she also requested for a tip. I will NEVER return to this place again. read more

Show up at 815p, location is scheduled to close at 9p. No other customers in the store, after sitting for a minute, "stylist" comes out from the back and asks if I come back tomorrow. Since when do businesses turn paying customers away, 45 minutes prior to closing? My hair cut takes 5 - 10 minutes at most. No, I will not come back and give you my money when it is more convenient for you. I can understand if there were multiple customers in store but there were none and this isn't the first time this has happened. I saw someone with a great haircut and it turned out she goes to Cheryl at Supercuts in Glenview. I decided to give it a try and I have been going to Cheryl for 1 1/2 years. Not only is she an excellent stylist, she takes a personal interest in her clients. Cheryl has great customer service and makes sure all of her clients get in and out looking great. I highly recommend her to everyone that compliments my hair and that is a lot of people. The person who is so mean spirited and writes something so cruel on Yelp needs to get a life. There are plenty of places you can go instead if you don't want a great hair style and pay a lot more. So go. read more

Worst haircut ever. In 30 seconds my hair was almost completely shaved off when the employee used the wrong clippers. She was apologetic. However, the kids haircuts were uneven, overly quick, and embarrassing done by another person working there. I will never go back. read more

I have been going to Super Cuts in Glenview for several years now. I have had many different stylists. I call ahead and if Cheryl answers I hang up. If my kids call and ask if Cheryl is there and she is, they hang up. She has cut my hair before and it was bad. My kids have NEVER liked any of her cuts. More then that she talks super, super, SUPER loud and everyone in the shop can hear her. She also needs to remember that the customer is always right. I was waiting one day and heard her argue with a lady about how she was blow drying her hair. Can you be any more unprofessional.
