The first time, I called to see if they could push back my appointment, but the lady couldn't because she had an appointment right after mine, which is completely understandable. I was seen right when I walked in with no wait. However, my curls did not hold up for a few hours, so I was pretty disappointed since I paid $85 specifically for that. The second time I came in, it was a waiting game. I understand they were really busy since it was commencement weekend, but it seemed very unprofessional to not let me know how late they were running, especially since it was almost an hour. No one apologized or let me know I would be waiting more than just a few minutes. I rushed in because I did not want to be late and had I known I would be waiting 50 minutes, I probably would have stopped to eat or buy a drink before coming here. Anyways, I liked the makeup they did. It was exactly what I asked for. But the haircut was not. For reference, my hair was very long before, past my butt, and now it is barely below my shoulders. I kept reiterating that I did not want it short, and that is exactly what I got. I also wanted my hair in layers, and it is barely in two layers, not what I wanted unfortunately. Now I have to wait another two plus years to grow it out again. (Paid $252 this second time) I think the person in charge could definitely be more professional. He is also the one who washed my hair the second time I went in, and I honestly do not think he knew what he was doing. Not only did a lot of water get in my ears, but my back got really wet, and he forgot to remove my towel. I probably would not come back here.

I booked a 12 pm appointment for a balayage and cut. I used the Vagaro app something that I've used at many other places. I show up to my appointment and wait. I'm checked in on twice and was told I'd be seen soon. Well I wasn't. In reality I was waiting over 40 minutes and by the time I would have been seen it'd be almost an hour past my scheduled appointment. Really if the reverse situation happened and I was that late not only would they have already cancelled my appointment they would have charged me a fee. What's icing on the cake is another customer had a 12:30 appointment and came in much after me and was seen before me :/. I'm glad it worked out for him. But honestly the customer service was terrible for me. I felt so frustrated and sad on what was supposed to be a fun self care me time. I don't need an excuse and a reason for your mistake. Own up to it. If you do care about your customer then do something about it. Don't just smile and give some excuse that it's okay and it's not that late. I would have preferred to be called or texted. If you're running late let your customer know. Don't lie and force them to sit and wait with not knowing when they'll be seen. Perhaps you should have asked me if a 1 pm appointment would have been okay. But instead they did not do that. They told me it would be soon when in reality it was much much later. They had no regard for my feelings or time. I also have found that in order to try to catch up on time to make for another appointment (whoever would have been after me) there's always a risk that they might rush you. And that is not something I want to ever risk for my hair and color. My time is valuable too and that was disregarded and disrespected. Unfortunately I won't be coming back. Customer service is everything in the business I choose to support.

Since I visit every couple months, I find it sweet that Lizbeth always remembers small details about me (like my cat, my attempts to cook, etc.) and it's nice to have such lively conversations that makes the appointment feel like a breeze. They all cut well and were incredibly patient to my requests. ## Area for improvement: - Every time i showed up, I waited at least 20 minutes past my pre-scheduled appointment time. It has become an expectation to wait. If you are on a time crunch, I would not recommend this place. If they were behind all five times I visited, it seems evident that this likely affects other customers.

My wife and I live just down the street from this location and after passing by for the hundredth time I finally decided to give it a try. From the moment I walked in the door the receptionist and staff were very warm and friendly. I was paired up with a stylist named Jackie and received one of the best haircuts I've had in a very long time! Now, I've read a lot of poor reviews saying the consistency of this place is bad, but all I can say is that has not been my experience. I continue to receive great, consistent haircuts at a great price and from a friendly stylist/staff. I've been to many other salons and have paid 2 to 3 times as much for a simple men's haircut and always seem to be disappoint to some degree. Bottom line: this place is great and I am so happy I gave it a try! read more

I always get the same good and consistent haircuts from all the stylist here Please note that you have to call in for an appointment Before I tried walking in a couple times but they do get booked up for the day quickly But overall all the stylists are friendly and very detailed at cleaning their own space read more

Took her about 10 minutes to get it all untangled. Now for the cut... she took about 8 inches off.. maybe more. WAY too much. To make matters worse, it was lopsided. I told her I normally part my hair on the side and she "checked it" after. And sent me on my way. Didn't even blow dry it. I get home, blow dry it, and see it's very obviously lopsided (see photo). I'm livid. It's so much shorter than I asked for I check in again online, go back in, and Jamie (bless her soul) IMMEDIATELY recognizes the error. She brings me back swiftly and fixes it. Now unfortunately, she had to take off even more to get it balanced. Her customer service was spectacular and I can tell she was mortified. I was on the verge of tears leaving the store. It took everything I had not to cry while she was cutting it. I won't be back unless it's for her. I understand my original stylist was new but while I was waiting originally the haircut before mine she had to ask for help from another stylist, which shows that she could probably benefit from some mentorship or continuing education so she can improve.

She was saying how confident she was that my hair would look amazing and that I'd only need to come in every 6 months or so to touch it up. She said how she had 20+ years experience and learned how to do Asian hair in San Diego. She said she was proud of her work and wanted to make her clients happy, even mentioning how some stylists she used to work with weren't as good. Lmao what a joke! I was there for about 6 hours and not only was it so painful because she was being so rough with my hair, it also came out so incredibly splotchy and uneven. I was super shocked at all the different colors... when I mentioned it to her, she said purple shampoo would fix it (it obviously did not lol). I asked her for a refund because of how much it'll cost to color correct it and she said it'd only required a touch up and I should be patient. She lied and said she told me it'd take multiple sessions (which doesn't even matter because I told her I'd be ok with a darker color so I can work up to it in multiple sessions. Who even lets you walk out with hair like that?). It was so incredibly embarrassing to have hair like that. I wore my hair up the entire time after going to Reds and even canceled plans with friends because of it. I was desperate to get it fixed so I asked her for a sooner appointment. Instead of taking responsibility, she just kept implying I was being dramatic. Thank god I didn't let Chrissy touch my hair again. I reached out to another hairdresser for their opinion and they were so shocked by how awful of a job Chrissy did. Not only was the bleach uneven around my head, it was also uneven on the actual individual strands. The whole time my new hairdresser did my hair she kept asking me what happened, what on earth Chrissy did, and if she was on something because it was so weird and randomly bleached. It took another 6 hours, $300+, & a miracle to fix. It's so messed up that Chrissy didn't refund me after having this super awful experience, but hopefully I can prevent other ppl from experiencing her terror. Save yourselves and go elsewhere.
