Hi my name is Steve. I went to Supercuts at 1440 Central Avenue on April 1, 2026 for my 1130 am appointment. I arrived at 1125 am and said, " Hi, my name is Steve. I have an 1130 am appointment". The girl who they gave me my appointment to just said I am the person who is going to cut your hair. I sat down At 1130 am, an older woman walked in and the girl started cutting her hair. The girl said nothing to me. No apologies, no explanation,no thank you for your patience. I waited more than 10 min and just left. Now, I will never visit any Supercuts again. I don't know the girl's name. I hear her say she was from Rotterdam. Horrible customer service. This girl should be fired! read more

I have been to this location twice for a full face wax and Sue has been absolutely amazing. I came from the Mohawk Commons location where the manager did my wax and always left me with wax on my face and hair. She would tell me that ripping my hair off was her therapy and how she wanted to make a sweater out of it. She also has talked crap about all of her clients to other clients both behind their backs and while they are in the shop. When I went to Sue she made me feel like I wasn't being judged for a medical condition and like I deserved to feel good just like everyone else. Mohawk would make me book a wax and a hair cut despite only getting a chin and lip wax and would charge me for 2 waxes and a shampoo that I never received. There is a lot more I could say about Mohawk but that would take away from the lovely experiences I've had at Northway. I will leave it at I will always recommend Northway Mall and Sue who works there. read more

I would give a zero star if there's an option. Monica was my stylist and she's disrespectful to the core. She didn't bother to clean my face/head after the cut. She has zero patience. She didn't even look at a pic of the hairstyle I desired to get. Pathetic! I'm regular to Supercuts and this is the worst visit ever. I don't know any stylist who could get a haircut done in 10min. If you want a quick, shoddy job I recommend you Monica. If you want a more professional haircut, stay away from her. Her rudeness is visible in the pictures below and particularly the last one which shows the scratch at the back of my neck which she caused due to her impatience. read more

This is the second time supercuts has destroyed my hair. One was in Saratoga and tllhe second was Queensbury. I went in with a photo of what I wanted my hair to look like but apparently the stylist didn't understand, so she chopped my hair off...four inches gone and that can't be fixed. There was no style and I still can't make sense out of what she did to my bangs. Please don't go to this establishment. read more

I wasjust at supper cuts across from Colonie Center, Mall just to get a haircut for my dead end to reshape my wolf cut the person that I got 2 inches off my hair when I showed her the picture of what it looked like before she said oh I got this she made it look hollow, she didn't even cut it the way it was supposed to look like I didn't even ask for 2 inches off my hair. She asked me if I bleached it a lot. I told her no I haven't bleached it since the summer but still I have colored hair, but that shouldn't matter the way my hair came out she cut my bangs way too short , I asked her to cut it near my eyebrows. She cut it past my eyebrows. They're supposed to be curtain bangs after I was done I was feeling sad about what happened and had to go. somewhere else to get it redone and spend more money on what could've been something simple. i woke up april 12th, feeling sad. david cassidy would have been 74 if he was still alive. (this is relevant. trust me!) had also been "blah" about my hair for quite some time. didn't like looking in mirrors to brush it, hated my photo taken. it is on the thin side, but i had been wanting to keep it "long-ish". i HAD to do something. fed up on this day, i decided to set an appt. with jasmine. she got me right in. asked her what she thought of layers for thinner hair. she thought it was a good idea. then i asked about multiple layers; like, as in late '80's, early '90's layers, but minus the "big" aspect? she thought it would be fine. i felt like i was pushing it, when i asked "what about a shorter layer up top, in case i want to "poof" it up a bit?" she very encouragingly said, "yeah, we can give you a shag cut".....(shag cut!!??) i watched in amazement as she worked her magic. bit by bit, low and behold, i was transformed. no girlie goop, hair spray, nothing....it wasn't needed. a different woman stared at me from the salon mirror. i liked her. she appeared cool. jasmine blended my bangs, that were a bit on the thin side, and a complete MESS from bathroom barbering-into the other multiple layers, beautifully. after, sitting in my car, i took selfies; i never take selfies. NEVER EVER. loved my new look so much, i sent it to several people. it was then that i realized....I GOT A SHAG HAIR CUT ON DAVID CASSIDY'S BIRTHDAY!! i guess you need to be a fan to understand this thrill-but i sang "i think i love meee"...to myself. i had to. i am still amazed at how confident and happy i look in these photos-i still don't know how she managed to transform hair that was sooo blah and lifeless, into something so cool. it is now about shoulder length, i absolutely LOVE IT, and have received several compliments. I've gone to Supercuts many times over the years but this was certainly the last. The place was empty late afternoon. Two stylists on sight. The girl came out from the back and asked me what I wanted. Not can I help you, not are you here for a haircut. She then said without looking at anything, "Looks like we're booked up for the evening". Rude arrogant smarmy fool. I've never had an issue here. They can be busy but they're efficient and tend to cut hair very well - I've never had a bad haircut! You're not going to get a fancy salon experience with hot towels and glasses of water served to you, but you will get a solid haircut for a decent price. It's not $45-$50 and that's okay with me, basically. I've also gotten things waxed here and they've been great - have never gotten a bad wax and they try not to be too painful when pulling off the strips. read more

The hair stylist that I had was doing a solid job with her work at first. I had gave her a reference picture to help with the idea of how I wanted my hair cut. I told her that I wanted the back and sides cut, and the top left normal. I made it clear I wanted the top substantially less cut than the sides and back. She recommended I trim the top, and I agreed. She trimmed the top without even asking me how much I wanted trimmed. Now my hair isn't how I wanted it. The top is barely cut less than the sides and is nothing like the reference photo I showed, or how I wanted it. read more

It was my first time going there in years and it will be my last time going to this location. The lady was incredibly rude to me while cutting my hair. She seemed aggravated when I couldn't understand her questions. When I was unable to comprehend the questions, she felt frustrated and kept on asking her co worker her question whenever I was unable to understand. My disability makes it hard for me to comprehend questions given to me. One of her questions that she asked me was, "do you want your neck a square style, or a circle style?" When I was unable to understand her question, she felt aggravated. She can clearly not work well with people with disabilities. When she was cutting hair, she seemed very distracted. It took nearly 45 mins to get my hair done. After my haircut was done, I went to go pay and my total ended up being $23.50, and basically charged me $6 extra for a beard trim. An adult cut is at least $17.00. A beard trim was not listed as an additional charge and normally at a barber shop, they wouldn't charge you for a beard trim with a mens haircut, and if they did it would only be like $2.00 extra. I questioned her why my total was $23.50, and then she responded in a rude manner, "you can look on the receipt." I was very upset how I felt I was ripped off. When I put my debit card in, it gave the option to give the person a tip. I decided not to give her the tip after the way she had treated me. When the receipt had printed out, she seemed upset and said in a rude manner as I left, "goodbye." After my experience, I will never return to this location again, and probably supercuts in general. I felt ripped off, and disrespected. I hope the lady who did my hair and ripped me off gets fired. read more

Stay as far away as possible! Very I'm experienced women butchered my hair. She didn't have the right blades for her razor. I had to tell her to stop cutting cause it was that bad. Drive down the street to get it fixed. Location is awful and it's a dark dreary place. Got to the one on Wolf Road. It's way better. read more
