Don't waste your time coming here during dollar tan week if you've never been here before. I came…read morehere and wanted to take advantage of the dollar tan week promotion that they had going on. When I arrived, I had to be input into the system as a first time client and was asked a bunch of questions regarding my ability to tan, had I ever been tanning, etc. I opted for the level 3 bed and was asked how long I wanted to go for. Being that I have skin that tans very easily, I wanted the maximum time. I was told "company policy" stated new clients were not allowed to tan for the maximum time. Instead I could only tan for 6 minutes. 6 minutes of tanning isn't even worth taking my clothes off. I said OK how about level 2? And was told 7 minutes. Again...not worth my time. I was told that the more I come in, the longer they will let me tan. Thinking I would be able to tan for longer tomorrow I asked if I would be able to do the maximum then and was told no I would only be able to go for 10 minutes. This was really irritating to me and seemed like a bait and switch. They entice you with promotions then when you go there, they try to tell you you can only tan for a short amount of time each day, so that you'll want to come back in throughout the week to be able to tan for longer and spend more money. One of the employees tried to get me to buy lotion which was funny to me. Yea sure..let me lather myself up in lotion for my 7 minute tan... Come to find out, it's not "company policy" as I called another St. Croix location and was told I could have tanned as long as I wanted. So for some reason, the employees here like to make things up and then claim it's company policy. I'm paying to tan, I should be able to tan as long as I want. I had already made the drive out there so I decided to just go with the level 2 - 7 minute tan. The area where the beds are was run down looking and the beds looked old and broken. The doors in each room were cheap.. the doorknob was wobbly and looked like it was about to fall off. I didn't feel comfortable in my room..it felt like a public bathroom stall and the walls were so short that someone probably could have popped their head over and looked into my room. On top of that, I got no cell phone service in the building and was unable to listen to my music while I tanned. As expected, I got no color so I totally wasted my time. Each bed has a jolly rancher placed on it after it gets cleaned, but it's going to take a lot more than a jolly rancher to get me to come back here. I'll stick to total tan.

The finger scanner for ID is on top of the signature pad because of lack of space. The stand up booths are in the hallway and are not in a room by themselves, The changing space in the booths are limited and the door doesn't even have a lock on it. The stand up tanning booths if refurbished are embarrassing for even an old out dated location as they are scratched, dented, etc. This new location rates zero stars but I had to click on one star to post this comment.

The girl at the desk (very nice) called her manager and asked if she could reverse the charge. They told the worker that the charge would be reversed within 3 days. Then, I went to get spray tanned and you are supposed to have 4 passes, but the machine kept shutting down between "passes." I had to get undressed and dressed at least 5 times. The girl who was initially helping me was very kind. Then, Nadia came in and told me to "go to another salon" because "it wasn't her fault the machines don't work." Finally, while they did offer me some free product, the manager eventually called me (almost 3 hours after she said she would), and told me instead of refunding me they were going to offer me a 3 month package. I said I just wanted a refund and she told me "well that's not gonna happen." She then started asking me if I had ever managed people before, and I asked what does that have to do with anything? I repeatedly said all I want is a refund and she eventually said "well that's not gonna happen" and hung up the phone.

I went on a Monday to get my hair trimmed. It was down to my waist. I was seated promptly and asked what I wanted done and how I did my hair (bun, like it was currently in and a pony tail to keep it out of my face while working) Normal hair dresser questions. I unwrapped my bun and she commented on how long it was. We agreed on mid back for a finished length. Then she started cutting. And cutting. And cutting. While cutting she said again "Middle of the back, right" When she was done she asked how I liked the length. I spun it up into a bun and said "at least it is long enough for a bun". I paid and left. Then I sat in my car and cried. When I got home and let my hair down it was just barely at my shoulders. She cut almost 18 inches off my hair. I was devastated. There was no misunderstanding. She knew I wanted it in the middle of my back. But she thought she knew better what I wanted and cut my hair 6 inches shorter than we agreed on before the first snip. I went back on Wednesday, still distraught over the length inflicted on me by this stylist. I wanted my money back and an apology. I spoke my mind about how she had changed my life with HER CHOICE FOR ME....I have had long hair for 55 years. I am a long hair person. It is part of who I am. She changed that without my consent. I still cry every time I have to brush it or wash it. I start my day in tears as I fix it for the day (and it no longer stays in the bun without adding water to it because it is too short). I end my day with hair in my eyes and mouth because it is too short to stay back in a hair tie while I sleep. The stylist was sent to the back of the salon as I cried and tried to explain how much her choice upset me...she never apologized. No one ever did. I got my money back for the service, but not my generous tip and NEVER AN APOLOGY. I would not recommend anyone going there if they know what they want for their hairdo. They have stylist there that think they know better than you do what needs to be done to your hair. Don't trust them to do what you want, even if they seem to understand your wishes. read more

Unfortunately, one of the nails (on this regarded manicure-by Joan) came off either that same day or the next day. My daughter was very upset and called for an appointment to have the nail fixed. She was given an appointment with the woman who specializes in nails and this woman fixed her nail. The manicurist told my daughter that more of the nails were going to fall and she never should have had a gel manicure broker nails are too thin. My daughter was still upset because she paid $ 80.00 for what appeared to be a substandard manicure and called the salon again to complain-she felt she should not have been charged the full 80 dollars. She was told the owner would give her a call to discuss her concerns. This never happened-no one called her. I went back a few weeks later to get my hair done and I did not ask for a manicure. The hairdresser kept making comments about how great her manicures are. She must have given me this message 4-5 times. I didn't respond as it was obvious that she felt like she was right. Apparently, she is in the habit of giving gel manicures to people who shouldn't have them, not accepting any responsibility for a manicure that started falling apart within 24 hours all for the price of 80 dollars. No, I decided to write this review given the response of the hairdresser and the lack of response by the owner. Rather arrogant and egregious behaviour by both. I was happy with hair service, but not even that will get me to EVER go back.
