I am basing this review on using a different laundromat in the South Bay - Coast Laundry. This business should be ashamed of how it operates. Sadly the public it serves has no voice and are hard working people that simply want a clean and safe place to wash for their families. This is not it. I washed here and will not return. Most machines are in some state of disrepair, there is an infestation of bugs, no air conditioning and overall in need of refurbishment. This is not a reflection of the workers there. I was getting quarters, had my blankets in car. I was out of soap and said I had to run and get some and was attacked by the lady working. She told me "There's cameras and to watch out." I replied asking am I not allowed to go get my soap and come back and she walked away! This makes me never ever want to come back here ever. So rude. I wish I could give zero stars. I had the best customer service from the kind attendant at this Brea laundromat. In addition to pointing out the machine that would work best for my large laundry load, I noticed her wiping counters, sweeping and mopping and making sure everything was very clean. I washed my clothes on Sunday (4/28) & usually I just go in do my laundry & be done. Recently this place has gone down hill & yesterday just hit my limit. There isn't hot water, almost everyday washers & dryers are still NOT WORKING. And to be even worse, the door on the washer I was using would not open. I tried to get it open a couple of times but found no luck. Even some other people tried to help me. My husband had to come to this place to help me get it open. It is absolutely RIDICULOUS how run down the owner let it get to. You see him once in a while bringing a repair man but it doesn't look like they done much. He seems like he doesn't even want to fix the place for lazy reasons. He doesn't even want to have the restroom open. I have kids who sometimes come with me to this place & it is a struggle when they need to use the restroom. Might as well call the city for probably several health code violations on this place. Medio load was 2.50 I dont know what the big machina costs. It can het warm in there. Lots of machines not enough dryers Dry costs 0.25 per 12 minutes. I put 36 minutes and by 17th min i was pulling things out. Closes at 10p which is a buttsaver due to work schedule! Most likely return. I like the fact that they have an option to pay with a card, but lately the machines are auto declining my card and the coin operated ones steal money. There is no way to recoup your money. yes, it's only a few quarters, but if they do this often enough, to enough people, it adds up. the restroom has been out of order for idk how long, yet there was no out of order sign on it. I had to demand the attendant put an out of order sign so that no one continues to waste their money on it. she refused to give my quarters back even though she knew the restroom was out of order. I came in today to do laundry...I have been visiting for a few weeks and it looked better than the last time I reviewed in June. My washing machine has been broken for nearly a month, so I'm sort of in a bind. I think this is the last time I'm coming for the foreseeable future. I don't know what happened in here, but it was gross this morning and I decided to go to Placentia to do my washing. There were large puddles of dirty water on the floor and tons of tire tracks. Some of the laundry baskets were missing. It looked like nearly every machine on the left hand side was broken in some way; there was standing water in all of them and what looked like food. I think some someone came in there during the night and trashed the place, as I had come in mid morning. Perhaps it happened earlier? I'm not entirely sure. This laundromat is super convenient due to the location and price. I live on Birch street in Brea & this place is only 5 minutes away. Yes, my apartment complex has laundry machines but this one is more cost efficient and gets the job done better than apartment laundromats. They have a change machine for $1, $5, not sure about $10 & $20. I've been here twice. The first, I used my card to swipe on the machine. Yes, you heard that right. You can swipe your card for all machines so you don't have to worry about bringing cash or going to the bank! The washes do a good job at cleaning your clothes without the oversaturated wetness of the water. There are several different washing machines, each priced differently and each containing different amount of loads. The "3 loads" machine is $2.75, a bit pricy. The smaller white machines, perhaps 2 loads (?) is $1.50. There's a "6 loads" machine but I don't know the price. Anyways, I'm only giving this three stars because the lady who works there told me that next time I can't leave because other people need the machines and they can't use it if I'm not there to take out my clothes. I agree with her, however, there were soooooooo many machines available! I would never leave if it was packed like no other. Why are you going to tell me what to do if there are no signs indicating that I should stay there and waste my time when I can go run errands while my laundry is still washing. I timed it correctly where I was able to get back maybe 5-10 minutes at the most for when my laundry was done washing. Ridiculous. She also spoke Spanish to some other guy afterwards & im not entirely sure if she spoke about me but whatever. Just beware of this lady because who knows what she'll tell you! Read the reviews about her and these reviews are pretty spot on. I find it really creepy that she monitored me coming in and leaving.. like leave me alone. I only occupied one of the many "3 loads" machines and one of the white machines. When I was done washing, all of these machines (except the ones I occupied) were still available! Lame! So my dryer broke and I have 2 loads of wet laundry. I go here at 9pm, figure dryers don't take a hour and I'm all good bc they close at 10pm. There's a chick mopping and she has her home girl close the door and stand there. Well I get out and the home girl has a big stupid smile on her face while laughing while the girl that was mopping us mouthing "closed" all while there are dryers running and other people in there. Then when I start to put the baskets back in the truck the home girl is laughing it up. So I can't use dryers even though they're hours say they are open still? In my opinion it's rude & disrespectful to remove someone's clothes from the dryer just because the machine stops. I could understand if the machine stops and my clothes is there for 5 or 10 minutes then okay. But for 1 minute and feel that you have the right to remove someone's clothes because of a sign is rude! I don't enjoy doing laundry but I love coming here when too much to take care of at once.
