My wife and I visit Banning, California once per year and when we are there we always hit Super Subs. The owners are soo nice and cheerful and offer such great service, its like you are a member of their own family. The owners are a husband and wife who love to talk and seem genuinely interested in you and are quite interesting people themselves. I wish them great success. Anyway, about the food. It's pretty darn good! My wife and I like the Asian sandwich and the Cuban sandwich. Both are amazing and are rich with flavor and texture. A friend of mine loves to order their tuna sandwich and says it is the best he has had, although I have yet to try it. The place isn't super fancy and doesn't look like much from the street but it is filled with warmth and good food and always leaves me thinking the world is a better place. I love this place! First came here in 2008 when I was working next door in the old courthouse. Amazed one day when my partner came back with a Cuban sandwich which he gave me half of. So I had been debating wether to update this review or not but since I'm brutally honest with all my reviews, I reasoned that it would only be fair I update my review. The first sandwich I ever fell in love with here was the Asian sandwich.... We would order it every time and were never disappointed... On our third visit (give or take) my husband talked me into splitting the cubano sandwich. We ordered it on the phone to go and 15 minutes later I was anxiously unwrapping the sandwich at my table. The bread looked nice and crispy, the sandwich looked phenomenal! Took a bite and the meat in the sandwich (pork) tasted very funny to me! I didn't say anything because I knew if my husband knew I thought it tasted funny it would get in his head and he'd think the same and not come to his own conclusion.... He bites, I wait... Sure enough, he gives me the look. "Meat tastes kinda funny." I don't mess with pork. And I stand by the fact that if it doesn't smell, look or taste right, steer clear. I thought it would be simple enough as calling and explaining our experience with the sandwich and requested an Asian sandwich instead. We'd be right over with the "only took one bite" sandwich to show we didn't by any means enjoy this sandwich at all.. Simple. Got the Asian went home and enjoyed. The next time we ordered, the owner knows who I am by now and as we conclude the order over the phone she says "no returns okay?" Excuse me!!? No returns??? You're still thinking about our previous experience?? Once I arrived, I wasn't sure what to expect so instead of standing there in their awkward silence I spoke up. Told them, look, the meat didn't taste right, not just to me but to my husband also... Why would I just throw it away along with the nearly $10 it costs... Instead I, as the paying customer, would prefer a sandwich that hasn't failed.. The Asian! They continued to argue with me that everyone loves this sandwich and that they've never had any complaints. That she believes I just regretted not ordering my usual Asian and that's why we made the whole thing up. They mentioned how I hurt their feelings by my actions?! You've got to be kidding me!? It's not that serious! We're standing in a sub shop for Petes sake! It was utterly humiliating! I, as a business owner myself, know and understand that the customer is always right and that you as the owner have to take a loss at times.. Yes, even a $10 dollar loss, sub shop! I would never make a customer feel the way they made me feel. Left on decent terms, the Asian that day was over dressed and not as good. They literally left a bad taste in our mouths.. Suffice it to say that we've never craved the Asian sandwich again and will not be stepping foot back in the shop again. We drove from San Diego to visit the Pinball Museum in Banning and wanted to have lunch first. What a great find. A family owned sandwich shop that makes their own fresh bread. Don't let the older building dissuade you. There were 6 of us and we all loved our choices. Very fresh. read more

I use yelp for pretty much everything especially when it comes to food & I saw this place had 5 stars and was right off the freeway so we went and tried it- it was amazing the hot pastrami is delicious! They're usually closed on Sunday's but the owners daughters were their so by the chance of luck we were able to get some food and so glad we did! MUST TRY! read more

We stopped by during Arcade weekend. The place is relatively small, family owned and locals coming in and out for their take out orders. I opted for the foot long turkey sandwich. I was going to save half for take home, however it was delicious so I ate the whole thing. My friend had a hot dog, said it was one of the best hot dogs he's had a in a while. Walked in after being doubted by the entire family. The exterior would lead you to believe it's pretty run down, but inside you are instantly greeted by the family who runs the place. The mom and dad were working together with the help of two of their four daughters. They were incredibly gracious with our ordering, and offered many customization options to fit our desires. Once we were seated in a room off the main building, we endured only a short wait before our food arrived. Prepare to enjoy one of the best sandwiches you've probably ever had. We ordered the Asian, Meatball and the Italian. Both were delicious, but the Asian was outstanding, definitely recommended! Wow! My 12" sub was more like 15" and was SO good! I got the pastrami w pepperjack, jalapeños, & everything else. The bread is the best part. Kind of a pretzel-bun like bread. The people working here are just as good as the sandwiches (seems like mom/pop & family owned). GOOD STUFF!! read more

This place is really good I always stop by here if my company have me work in Banning or If i work pass this place I make sure I stop by for lunch here on my way back home, this place blows out Subway after coming here you will be like (Subway who?) and I've been to Jimmy Johns sub's before and I told myself I could of made this sub at home smh. I'm gonna say it this place is up there with Jersey mike's, that's right I said it. I've tried all there subs here and I'm stuck with the Asian sub. I hear other people order the same one while I wait on my sub. I hope they would open one by my house in Eastvale but I know that's not going to happen because I ask them lol. Had to visit the city of Banning and this place was practically next door, after a cursory glance at the yelp reviews I made my way over. Ordered 3 sandwiches, the Asian, Pastrami, and the Super. Ingredients were all top quality, bread was super fresh and some of the best I've ever had. Prices were fair especially considering the quality. If subway's $5 garbage is more your taste, this place might not be for you. The food was enough to warrant a 5-star review, but the owners make me wish I could give more stars. Extremely friendly and genuine, they care about what they do. If you're in the area, driving through, or just hungry, I wouldn't hesitate and make the stop, it's worth it! read more
