best rotisserie chicken i've ever had in my entire life, absolutely devoured it ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I noticed that it's been over 10 years since I last updated my review. But, trust me, we've been here frequently over the years! #6- Palta Rellena Con Pollo- half an avocado filled with chicken salad- daughter thought it was a little salty but she loved it. This is her usual go-to whenever we come here. #15- Aguadito De Pollo- cilantro chowder with chicken and potatoes. Hubs says it tastes like an essence of Chinese congee with a Spanish twist. In other words, he thinks it's delicious. Another go to for us. #65 - Cau Cau- tripe and potato cilantro stew with white rice. Hubs loved it and thought it was hearty and worth taking an extra Crestor. LOL. #63- Sudado De Pescado- simmered fish filet in tomato-based sauce with white rice. Hubs liked it a lot. He and daughter fought for it so there weren't any leftovers. I got the Tres Leches to go. It was delicious. I forgot to take a picture of it. Service was friendly and quick. Will definitely return when in the area!

My brother and I went to a Peruvian restaurant recently in a strip mall. I believe it is part of a national chain. They have a varied menu, from vegan to beef, pork and chicken dishes. Mark was our server, whom I felt was new to the job, yet was very polite. We shared a "papa rellena " $5.50-A stuffed potato with ground beef and marinated onions, quite tasty. I ordered the "ceviche de camarones " (shrimp) with Peruvian toasted corn kernels, sweet potato in lime juice-$15. I felt it was a bit too salty and lacked cilantro, a major ingredient in ceviche. I had a Peruvian fruit drink, laced with cinnamon $2 a glass. My brother had a beef dish over rice and beans with plantains. He felt it was average and I tasted it and agreed. He had a Snapple with wasn't cooled enough. $2.50. I feel they have a little way to go to get into the four star category, since I have dined in many Latino bistros

We ordered from Super Pollo II today for a takeout lunch... It was spectacular! We ordered rice and beans(my wife loved them),chicken and beef empanadas (we couldn't decide which was better) and the most delicious rotisserie chicken I've ever had! And the green sauce.... for real, the green sauce... Do yourself a favor and try them, we've lived here for over ten years and just tried it today. I'll definitely be coming back!

This could have easily been a four star review if only a few more things fell into place. These folks have a great rating over many reviews so I might just attribute my visit, although it was good, to circumstance. My brother and I were in the area and always looking for something different decided on Peruvian tonight. We entered and were told to sit anywhere we liked, not being sure if they had table service and not seeing any wait staff around. So we grabbed a seat and and were soon provided with a menu. There were a lot of interesting things on the menu and therefore hard to choose. We decided to split the Papa Rellena which was a potato ball stuffed with seasoned beef served with lime marinated onions. It was good but was disappointed that it was a little better than room temperature. I ended up ordering the Bistec a lo pobre which was grilled steak over rice and beans with fried plantains. The steak was pounded thin and grilled and tasted good except there was a bit more gristle than I would have liked. The plantains were excellent as were the rice and beans but the beans were cold while everything else was hot. Maybe they should turn that hot plate up a notch or two. Oh yeah, my Snapple was warm. The prices are very reasonable, service was good, and the large variety menu makes me want to try other things another time.

The menu is a fantastic blend of authentic Peruvian flavors with distinct Japanese and Chinese influences that make this cuisine so unique. The atmosphere is modest, warm, and incredibly welcoming, and our server was absolutely terrific. I had the Bistec a la Pobre ($22) -- a perfectly-marinated hanger steak served over generous portions of french fries, white rice topped with a freshly fried egg, and a side of grilled sweet plantains. YUM! The flavors were absolutely spot on. My dining companion loved her Pollo Saltado ($19) -- a generous portion of tender, boneless marinated chicken sauteed with onion, peppers, and tomato served over french fries with a side of white rice. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Peru Chikann is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Bring cash. The restaurant is very clean, beautiful plants and our severe was very sweet and attentive. The owner greeted us as we were paying our bill and thanked us for our visit. Very sweet man as well. The chicken was juicy, tender and flavorful. The special sauce it came with was also delicious. Strongly recommend.

Selecting this restaurant came down to almost the flip of a coin, but the decision was definitely worth it. The taste of the food was incredible. The freshness was expectacular, the balance of flavors was on point and the service was great. Staff was super friendly, and my table always had everything it needed (and more). The highlight for me was the ceviche. It was really smooth and had no acidity which was surprising considering the lemon flavor was definitely felt. Have no idea how we never tried La Casona in the years my spouse worked nearby or how we missed it…read morein Yelp searches. Well we fixed that as of last night and wow did we have a tasty experience. Bryan, our server, made sure we were ordering in the best way possible to ensure our return trip. So many tasty dishes to choose from and we had both narrowed down to two which Bryan explained and guided us on. Ironically my dish per a Google AI search was the most enjoyed dish. Funny, AI can now even help summarize all the Google reviews and to distill it down for us in seconds. So on this Friday evening after work, here's what we ordered... we start off with a mango margarita which we shared and this was over ice not frozen in a properly salted glass and boy did it taste awesome. We started off with an appetizer of the.Pastelillos Boricuas (3 pieces), it was for us cooked to perfection. It was not over fried. The meat was tender. It was tasty. It was. The crust was soft, even though it had some crispness to it, and I would absolutely start with these again. For our mains, my wife had the Ropa Vienna Platter and she absolutely loved it and reminded her of her time down in Miami for school and getting local Cuban or Caribbean or Puerto Rican food and this just hit it for her. For me I followed my Google AI search... The standout, highly-rated dish at La Casona Restaurante & Bar in Hamilton is their Trifongo. Customers rave about this signature item, often ordered with Churrasco A La Criolla (skirt steak in a flavorful Creole sauce). This came in a wooden round bowl at first I thought it was a coconut shell. It was absolutely delicious moist tender tasty. Our whole dinner experience met exactly with what I was looking for when I told my wife I'm tired of our usual restaurants. I wanna try something different. I don't know what it is but it's a food group that we don't eat or don't eat often and that's how we found La Casona. They have a bar. There's a huge parking lot outback indoor outdoor dining. It's perfect for romantic night out for two as well as large groups. Note they have different pricing for cash paying versus credit card. Staff super friendly courteous the place is immaculately clean, and the food was scrumptious.

It's a relatively unassuming space; we went during the week, so it wasn't super crowded, but we had a good time there together.
