This review is about my follow-up service with Super Eagle. Unfortunately, this experience was totally different. My first service was to address a brake issue. I was told that my front brakes were at 1% and that I would eventually need to also have my back brakes fixed. So, I got the front brakes fixed, but when I picked up my car, I still heard a disturbing noise. I called Jake at Super Eagle and shared the concern. Jake responded appropriately and said to bring the car back. The sound became worse over the weekend. When I took it back, I did not get the same type of service as before -no text messages sharing the status of my car and no calls with updates. We called three times and only got voicemail. Upon finally hearing from them, I was told that my back brakes/pads were basically gone - metal on metal, and they couldn't/didn't even try to drive it to hear the sound. It is unacceptable that one week later, my car was worse. Hubby and I have concluded that they replaced the wrong brakes the first time. This mistake, the absence of updates, and the subpar level of service were extremely disappointing. Full disclosure - after expressing our displeasure, we were given a discount of maybe 15-20% Unfortunately, my initial excitement of finding a new shop for my Volvo is gone. I'll keep searching for a consistently dependable shop. read more

Trash. I sent my car here thinking they were good because I went there in the past for oil changes. My car was diagnosed, they said once they fixed the things quoted my car would be back to normal. 2097$ later my car come back with a rough idle. No way! After I paid for unnecessary things and then they didn't want to address the problem they apparently created on some way. I'll never go back. In my opinion they are only worried about making maximum dollar...not caring for the customer. read more

Some people think that quality work should be cheap, some people think they can youtube or ask others how to fix it. I can 100% guarantee that the folks at this shop will be honest, caring and AFFORDABLE. They truly value the customer and the customers safety. They don't charge an arm an a leg, better service and prices than any dealership, the technicians are skilled and efficient (they are not diy mechanics lol). The list goes on. You get what you pay for these days and I think there are many mechanics out there trying to scam people by telling the vehicle is safe to drive when it isn't (hoping for a bigger payday down the road when your vehicle fails). When a reputable shop like Super Eagle tells you that you have a problem, or repairs to make, they know what they are talking about and THEY CARE, they are SO passionate about helping people. No one wants bad news....but let's face it, sometimes owning a vehicle is bad news...and it definitely comes at a cost because they have to be maintained. The dealership sells you a lemon, you make and uniformed purchase, maybe its missed major maintenance per manufacturer's recommendations, maybe some other mechanic will slap a band aid fix on it etc. This shop is here to truly help you take care of your investment and then it is just up to you to decide how you will move forward. You always have the option to decline or look for "cheaper" services. But Super Eagle will work with you on what's most important or top priority to help you figure out how to work things into your budget and I have had nothing but great experiences. my husband's 09 Volvo desperately needed a brake + rotor replacement. after being referred to Super Eagle, we decided to give them a call + see what they'd quote, as another auto shop quoted nearly $750 for just the front brakes. it was incredibly easy to get someone on the phone, and the man who picked up was so nice and knowledgeable. he was able to provide me a quote and add a discount they had at the time. my husband took his car in, and they immediately took it back to get started! the brakes + rotors took roughly 1.5 hr, and when driving the car to ensure everything felt + sounded right, they were able to notice that there was a bigger issue with the brake knuckle. they provided us with a quote + were willing to help us get the price to something a bit more comfortable. got the car back today (we had them hold it until we got paid), and the car is driving beautifully with no grinding! if you're looking for a place that's HONEST, FAIR, KIND, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and QUICK, you've gotta go to Super Eagle. it's one of the first auto shops i've spoken to that has not attempted to overcharge or belittle me for being a woman (it happens a lot more than men think)! thank you Super Eagle for the amazing service + a job well done :) read more

Was kind of leery of purchasing a half off state inspection deal for this place that I had never heard of, figuring they would find any and everything wrong to repair on my car but I was pleasantly surprised that this place was just the opposite.....very professional staff and very nice waiting. Saturday's are by appointment and they even started before my appointment time. Quick courteous service for $15 bucks....can't ask for much more than that. I've been here twice. The first time was for an inspection, which like many other reviewers, was from a Groupon. You will notice when you walk in how clean it is. There is also free wifi, Keurig coffee, and a nice high table to sit at or if you prefer, a couch. The inspection took a little long, but the owner came out an apologized for the wait. He took care of a burned out bulb which ran about $3. The next time, I scheduled an appointment to get, what I thought, was a worn wheel bearing looked at. I get a call about an hour or two later saying that my tread has separated from the tire and that I should replace the it. He quoted me a few different prices, but since I get my tires taken care of elsewhere I passed. They didn't charge me anything to look at it, and I briefly chatted with the tech that looked at it. I told him that even I'm not taking care of the tires here, I'll be back since I work close by (and the service has been honest and professional so far). On a side note, I was also given a quote to get a valve head gasket done; it was almost the same price as another highly rated Charlotte mechanic shop, but Super Eagle added another $30 to the price for an oil change since they recommend doing one at the same time. read more

Would highly recommend this place for moms who have to bring their children with them for car work/inspection. They have a little kiddy area that occupied my two kids while I got my car inspected. The place is very clean and tidy and there's plenty of seating. Very welcoming and comfortable. Also very clean considering it's a auto care shop. Don't go here. After more than 7 hours and no call we decided to call and check on the car. We were told the inspection was 135 dollars and they didn't change the oil or do any maintenance on the car. They then tried to encourage us to make repairs if 1000+ on a car worth no more than 3000 dollars. read more

So one thing that really stands out to me: one of the employees (John I believe) emailed me a copy of my inspection before coming out to talk to me. And the email included pictures! I've never seen this before. Maybe I'm behind, but before coming here I always went to Honda of Concord and Scott Clark Honda (wouldn't recommend either) and I've never seen this. I'm always cautious due to receiving false info regarding needed car repairs. This definitely gave me a peace of mind. This is my third or fourth time coming here and I'll definitely be back. It was my first car and first time doing inspection, so I came home and asked my friend who was really good at automobile, he told me he had never heard of anyone failed for exhaust system. States he has footage to prove his lift didn't damage my vehicle but refuses to produce it. It's disappointing becasue the reviews were so good. I too bought the state inspection discount voucher through Charlotte Observer Deals. It only cost me $15 and I was in and out in 15 minutes flat. I actually had to cancel my first appointment due to illness and they were able to reschedule me the next day no problems. No up-selling or gimmicks once I arrived. Friendly staff, super-clean waiting room (and restroom) with gratis snacks and coffee too. I also noticed they had wifi. I'll keep this place in mind next time I need repairs on my car. read more

(Sidenote: Make sure you call for an appointment, as they don't take walk-ins). I have come back here for quite a few additional services for my husband's car and mine because they are honest and trustworthy and explain to you exactly what you are being charged for. We moved to Charlotte in Nov, and I really had no idea as to how to find a new mechanic outside of checking with Yelp. I can tell you 100% that I was not let down by the outstanding reviews for Super Eagle Auto Care. I took my Honda Civic there with some weird vibration issues in the front wheels. After diagnosing the issue, they gave me an estimate, and moved forward with the work. To my pleasant surprise, when I returned a few days later to pick up my car, I was charged an amount significantly UNDER the estimate as they determined that not all the work needed to be done. In cross checking with the "RepairPal" app, their pricing was under the expected market price, and under their initial estimates. As far as the quality of their work: my car now drives/turns smoothly and all vibration and noise is gone. I'm sold! I will be bringing my cars here exclusively from now on. read more

Stay away from this place at all costs! Total scam. Last week, I went in because I bought a Groupon for NC auto inspections. I took my car in and they told me that I failed and that in order to pass it would cost over $1,000. My car had just recently been serviced by my usual mechanic and they said everything looked good, so I was suspicious and told Super Eagle I didn't have time to do the repairs that day. Today I took my car to my usual mechanic that I've used and trusted for over 20 years. I gave them the failed inspection report, along with the bill of what needed to be fixed. They called me back today and said that nothing was wrong with my car and that it passed inspection. This company is luring people in with a Groupon and leading them to believe that they have to have unnecessary repairs. Not to mention their customer service was deplorable. The older woman with the silver bob sat at the front desk, wouldn't make eye contact and was SO incredibly rude. Only go here if you need your wallet emptied. read more
