I was invited to a black-tie family wedding, so I needed a tuxedo to meet the guest requirements. I…read morehadn't rented a tuxedo in 25 years and was unsure how to go about it. I remembered watching the Oscars this year and seeing Chris Hemsworth in an open-collar tuxedo that looked fantastic. I researched who he was wearing and found out it was a Tom Ford tuxedo, costing several thousand dollars. I considered buying this tuxedo but quickly dismissed the idea as irrational. So, I began looking up tuxedo rentals and found Celebrity Tux and Tails in Peoria. This was a convenient location for me since I live not too far away, near the 303 freeway. I checked their website and found a lot of good information and sample tuxedos that appealed to me. They recommended making the initial fitting appointment eight weeks in advance, which I did. I wasn't sure why they suggested such a long lead time, but it turns out they do custom tailoring for tuxedo rentals. I had never heard of tailoring a rental before and was pleasantly surprised. When I arrived for my appointment, I was professionally greeted, and we got right down to business. I showed the employee the picture of the tuxedo I wanted to recreate, and she quickly directed me to a style very close to the Tom Ford example I wanted. I immediately said yes. She took my measurements, and I tried on the jacket and pants of the style I wanted. I brought in my own shoes, which she factored into the tailoring. I told her the date I needed the tuxedo by, left a reasonable deposit, and was on my way. I inquired about possibly buying the tuxedo and was quoted a surprisingly reasonable price. I ultimately decided to rent this time. Several weeks later, I arrived to pick up my tuxedo at the pre-scheduled time and pay my rental balance. I tried it on, and the gentleman who assisted me made sure everything was perfect, including pre-configuring everything so all I had to do was remove the tuxedo from the garment bag and put it on. It literally took less than five minutes to get dressed for the wedding. I enjoyed the wedding in comfort and style and returned the tuxedo on the pre-scheduled return date without any issues. When I dropped it off, the employee quickly inspected the tuxedo, and I was on my way. Throughout the process, I was kept informed through text messages, which were very convenient reminders. My whole tuxedo rental experience with Celebrity Tux and Tails exceeded my wildest expectations. I will always use them in the future for my black-tie events, and I highly recommend you do too!

When I was measured, I lost 10 pounds went back in and it was still too small. Now they were very helpful when things were wrong and they helped us replace things quickly and with a smile. However, one of the guys they helped out because his pants were too small, they sent him home with the same pair of pants. I'm assuming on accident but nevertheless, he had to go through the wedding with an atomic wedgy the entire time. Not to mention when one of the other groomsmen told me that he paid less for his groomsmen at his wedding, and they were buying the suits, not renting like we were. The only person whose suit fit correctly the first try around, was the guy that they didn't measure, but had his measurement sent in by another tailor. Again, the service was great, they were very kind and helpful. But messing up every suit that THEY measured, is pretty bad. They wouldn't be my first choice going back however I would be open to giving them a shot in the future.

Well, that's the experience we had here for my son getting married and wanting to rent a tux. Not only does he need to rent it once he needs to rent it twice because of when they're going to take pictures. They wouldn't give him two shoes to try on. They wouldn't give him the jewelry - meaning the buttons and the cufflinks - they would not give him a bowtie or the correct shirt. God forbid we wanted to see it with a vest!! His brother, who's going to be the best man, needed a new black suit for the wedding and all they had was a blue one and told him don't worry it'll look fine. It was a great system and one reason I trusted them. I no longer live in Arizona, but I recently had a wedding in the area and needed a suit and shirt cleaned. I decided to return to Express Cleaners because of my past experience. I dropped off my clothes Monday afternoon and requested Thursday pickup. I also asked for heavy starch on the shirt. I had a few other items cleaned with the same request. When I returned Thursday afternoon, my order was incomplete and one item was missing. The employee told me to come back the next day. I returned Friday and picked everything up. I trusted the order was correct and did not inspect the items before leaving. When I got back to my hotel, I noticed the shirts were not heavy starch at all. They were very lightly pressed. One red dress shirt also had a stain near the bottom that was not removed. That part is on me for not checking the clothes before leaving the store. I did pay extra for the heavy starch and expected the work to be done correctly. I tried calling the store so they could address the issue, but no one answered the phone. I now live in another state so there is little I can do about it. I am sharing this so others pay close attention when picking up their clothes. Check every item before you leave the counter. The quality and attention to detail were not what I expected based on my previous experience.
