This place used to give a first-responder discount for my work, however that seems to have disappeared recently. I asked the owner, (Julio), to verify these rates and he said they are correct. I'm only giving 1 star because I have to. Moon Valley cleaners practically destroyed my wedding dress and was the least bit apologetic. I was told "you're leaving the country and the owner isn't back until Monday there's nothing I can do". REALLY!! Doesn't that deserve a call to your chain of command!! The backing was ripped out, the belt ripped off and attempted to reattach it, leaving holes where it was ripped off. There were snags everywhere, and safety pins stuck through the bra area to hold it to the cardboard that was included...again, leaving holes. I only brought the dress in for a cleaning before leaving the country to get married. I will NEVER go here again. read more

How to lose a long time customer in one day, LIE! I asked on three visits how much it would cost to hem 3 pairs of pants. I was told each time $10 per pants. I just picked them up and my bill was $92 dollars. OMG! He charged me $20 per pants. I hope loosing a customer is worth $30. Because you LOST me today after many years! read more

I needed my suit cleaned and altered for a business trip. Unfortunately, I didn't give Julio and his team enough time. He said he could have it ready first thing Monday morning, but that didn't give me enough time to make the flight. Because he was already going to be in the shop on a Sunday (when they are normally closed), the tailer brought my pants home to work on and Julio made a special trip just to get me my suit finished in time. We have been customers since 2004, and even when we moved a short distance away we continued going to them. Two weeks ago went to pick up cleaning and when we got home realized we were missing a pair of black pants. We have been back there three times to ask about it. The lady behind the counter was kind, and she kept telling us she gave our name and phone number to the owner. For the owner of the business not to call, or acknowledge the issue is unheard of and we won't be using them any longer. Things happen we know that. If the owner would have called to acknowledge it and apologize we still may go back, but not to even care is WRONG. read more

I dont know why ... the cleaners, I just dont like going.. yet its one of those on the 'needs vs wants' list of lifes little duties.. But recently my friend begs me to drop his cleaning and when I agreed , he hands off like a bazillion shirts he needs by Friday. He needs medium starch and laundered crisp... WOW! I thought I was high maintenance.. He refused to let me pop them into my cleaners near Biltmore.. Okay.. I love this place.. they are nice.. friendly and swift.. Best thing yet.. I looked on Yelp and other sites to find reviews on a good dry cleaners for my husband's business suits. I come to find out, there are few in my area that are up to par. So I knew this one was on the way home so I thought I would give it a try after reading a few other reviews on other sites. (which remain nameless --hehe). I noticed there was a drive up window which would be convenient for the possible next time I was to return. (For I wouldn't want to go thru on the first visit, so I could check out the establishment.). I entered the cleaners and was greeted warmly by the guy behind the counter. Seemed very clean inside and very busy -- based on all the clothes getting carted around on that 'roller coaster of rails' they ride on. (a good sign!). The gentleman reviewed what items I had and gave me a ticket. For 2 suits and a blazer, it would only take 2 days to clean. Not too bad. The cost was $26.25. Now I've never dry cleaned suits before, so I hope that was reasonable? Not sure. ($9.75 each suit and $6.75 for the blazer). If not, oh well, we'll see how good this place is and check on prices in other places to compare. So after 2 days I picked up the garments. Once again, greeted warmly by a younger gentleman. I commend them for their happy demeanor. You don't get that a lot anymore. I showed him my ticket and he retrieved my items very quickly. I reviewed them briefly and asked him about cleaning dresses, and fixing hems. He gave me some prices and said the seamstress would be more than happy to give me a quote on the repair. I didn't have the dress so I would stop by at a later time. When I got home, I inspected the items further. The slacks were pressed perfectly and there was no odor or anything on the clothing. (As I've heard sometimes happens at dry cleaners) So I was pleased. I would definitely go there again for my dry cleaning. read more

Took some pieces to be dry cleaned and had a few good experiences. Then today I went to pick up 5 shirts and the owner said it was 25 dollars!! I've been paying 1.75 a shirt just like the huge sign on their glass window states for Mens shirts. When I questioned him he rudely said they are more because they are "fancy" and "dark colors". What the hell??? I said you can't just charge whatever you feel like Day to day. I've had these shirts done before for 1.75. When I said well I won't be back then he just said "fine. LOL. I took my pants to get patched up and to have a piece removed. I go back a week later to pick them up and they look exactly the same except for it look like someone drew a rough draft on my pants.. So i told them i wasn't satisfied and what needed to be fix and a week later the pants pretty much look the same except for not as much rough draft smh never again.. read more

I have been using them for almost 15 years they have lost my business for good. Ever since the new ownership the quality has gone downhill and the price has gone up. They have burned one of my shirts m, leaving stains and gave my wife her sweater that was supposed to be clean that still smelled clearly their quality control is not up to the same standards as the original owner. DO NOT GO HERE. For the second time dropped off laundry and asked if the shirts would be $1.75 per their advertising. I was told they would be the $1.75. They charged me 4.50 a shirt. No phone call to inform me. Just charged me the $9.00 instead of the $3.50. This happened before and when it did they gave me a credit. But when I came back their was no credit. I'm new to the area. They were nice and the drive through window is convenient. However- they are terribly expensive!! And I just relocated here from the East coast. This was ridiculous. Every garment has it's own price- and women's blouses are more expensive to clean than men's. And they only accept Mastercard and Visa unless you pay for the monthly service. What a RIP OFF!!! Took in two kid size dress uniform for school to be hemmed. He told me one price then charged my wife much more when she picked them up. I went in and he said it's because pleats are sewn into the dress I said no there are none and he kept arguing that there are. So I went and got the dresses and showed him there were none, so he changed his story and said it's because dresses are wide. Brought 4 pair of slacks in, 2 zipper replacements and 2 to be hemmed. When I went to pick them up, only one pair was ready for pick up. The pants that needed to be hemmed were not done as I had requested. On one of the pants that was going to have the zipper replaced, the didn't have a matching color but no one bothered to contact me to see if I wanted to do something else instead. Again, I am one happy customer! Last Saturday my husband had an emergency with a black shirt he needed cleaned within 12 hours due to a funeral we had to attend the following morning, not only did moon valley custom cleaners dry clean the shirt for him but they did it on a Saturday at 3pm when they close at 4pm. They had already closed their doors but made sure to call me the second the shirt was ready, it was ready at 4:10pm even though their doors were closed. They absolutely do not normally provide this "emergency dry cleaning service" on a daily basis however they took my situation into consideration and helped us out durning that tragic time. Best part, they refused to charge us for service all together and were happy to help. They have a tip jar, thank goodness! read more

I used to be a satisfied customer...have been going hear for nearly 2 years. I typically drop off 40 - 60 shirts at a time. They would always be done at the laundered shirt price. Recently, I dropped off my order, and this time the owner, an Asian man, took in my order. When I picked up my order, they told me it was $104.00 for 38 shirts. Laundered shirts are $1.75 each. He decided that nearly half my order was dry clean instead of laundered. I was shocked by the price, and inquired as to why it was so expensive, when I have been having the same shirts laundered for nearly 2 years.....I got a nasty response from the owner that he cannot afford to do the work at the laundered shirt price. Needless to say, his attitude was lousy....he could care less that he was about to loose a loyal customer. I would suggest you bring your business elsewhere. This is a sleazy operation. I'm new to the area. I've gone to the same dry cleaners for over 10 years so trying to find another was a daunting task. After going to the same place for 10 years you can imagine the trust you build so leaving my clothes with some place I'm not familiar I was very skeptical and thorough with my order whereas previously I would just drop off and go because they knew me! But to my surprise I was greeted very warmly by a great staff and they were very patient with me going through and separating each of my clothes. They were ready the next 2 days and came out great! I brought in valences from a house we had just purchased. They were beautiful but they were very heavy with smoke. I didn't think they would ever be brought back to their original beauty, but they were.. Moon Valley cleaners did a fantastic job and they offer great service with a smile.
