Super Chix, never disappoints. Every time I have eaten there, I have enjoyed the food. It is set up almost like a quick service restaurant, but with a full service feel. They have multiple employees delivering food to your table as well as making sure that the site stays exceptionally clean. The only thing I would caution people is when I got my tenders tossed in Nashville hot there was a lot of sauce that kind of took away from the chicken that is always very good. So my recommendation would be to order it on the side and put as much as you would like on each tender. The only other issue that people could have is that Sunday after church it was very busy and the restaurant is very loud, but please do not let that be the reason that you do not try super chicks in Hoover.
I live in Charlotte so I was completely shock to see a Super Chix here in town and I've already stopped and got food to eat but I said screw that and came here to grab me something to eat as they have the best chicken sandwich in all of Charlotte so I had to get me one while I was in Birmingham. SO HAPPY to see it here.
My oh my, the best customer service EVER!! Let me begin with the fact that I've never been here before. I met a group of ladies there for lunch with little expectations for service or food. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted with a sense of excitement. Looking around, I didn't see any uncleaned tables, surprising! I followed the path of placing my order by looking at the large menu on the wall, simple, right? Yes. Chicken, chicken chicken. I'm not a meat eater but salads were available for us non meat eaters. My order was placed and I was given a stand with a number and told that my food would be brought to my table. Easy leash. Picked up my drink, sat with my group and began to fellowship. My food was brought to the table and we were given so much attention. Our cups were refilled as often as needed. The prices were reasonable, the food was tasty, indoor/outdoor seating available, family friendly and fun! I would go back!
Went here with some co workers while in town for training. I had never heard of this place, closest thing we have at home would be chick-fil-a or Houston Hot Chicken I think it's called? I'm usually pretty picky that the lords chicken (chick-fil-a) is the only good chicken. Most other places I've been the chicken is bland. This place was amazing. I got the Nashville hot sandwich with fried chicken. It was appropriately hot, won't burn your face off but actually has some heat to it. The fries were amazing and all the sauces I tried were great. The buffalo, Nashville hot and their house sauce were all amazing. The restaurant was clean and plenty of seating for our large-ish group. As with everywhere I've been here in Alabama the service was top notch, everyone is so polite! Definitely a good chicken sammich, I might have to go again while I'm in town.
FAST service. If you are on the run and need a quick yummy meal, stop here. From order to delivery to my table it was seven minutes. I kid you not. I got the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Never frozen, breaded, crispy fried chicken breast with two slices of melted Swiss and what looked to be two ounces of ham. The building is modern, cheery yellow awnings and accents, and very clean. While I ate my sandwich, a family with young children left, and the staff immediately cleaned the area where they had sat, and cleaned the high chairs. I've never seen brooms, cloths and spray come out so quickly. I didn't look at their rating, but it must be high. Worth the stop!
I want to preface this review by noting that this is my first 1-star review. I am usually very satisfied with the food quality and service at most restaurants, but today's service was really appalling. Super Chix wasn't my first option tonight but this shopping center was busy and this restaurant seemed like a good next option. Personally, I have found most of their sandwiches here to be super greasy, so I opted for a salad and shared some fries with friends. I ordered the house salad and added grilled chicken. When I was ordering, the cashier verified my order with me *twice* to make sure that everything was correct. The salad came out almost immediately after I ordered, and I noticed that there wasn't any chicken on it. No big deal; I informed the server of the absence of chicken. The server seemed confused, brought another worker over, and then told me that I didn't actually order any chicken. Weird... I remember the cashier verified the order with me twice, both times in which the salad did have chicken. The server brought the salad back to the kitchen, then brought it back out with a grilled chicken filet. But it's not over... The other worker who was brought in decided to print out two different receipts to show me the price difference between a salad with chicken and a salad without chicken. He wanted to know which of those receipts most resembled my total. At this point, we've come to the conclusion that the worker must have incorrectly rung me up. To amend the cashier's mistake, the worker asked me to come to the front so he could charge me $4.50 for a grilled chicken filet. Worried that I was being a "Karen", I thought this over and felt that I shouldn't have to pay for a mistake that I did not make. I politely told the worker that I don't think it's my responsibility to pay for that since the cashier double-checked the order but it was still somehow incorrect. Alas, he disagreed. This problem was not going to be ignored and I must be the one to pay for it. So, I obliged (but I didn't really have an option, no?). This was a painstaking long process to get a chicken filet. ALSO... I checked online and the salad is supposed to come with you're choice of either a grilled or fired chicken filet. I genuinely do not understand why I had to pay for an additional filet. In this case, I have now paid for two filets and received one. TLDR: customer service was pretty disappointing, the food is decent. *I also work in the food industry and I wouldn't treat a customer like that, regardless of who is "right" or "wrong".
With only one other Super Chix off 280, this Super Chix is in the popular Stadium Trace Village shopping center. Right across the street from Aldis and next to "arriving soon" 5 Guys (used to be a Mooyah), this SC is right on the corner and sees lots of traffic. There's very limited parking in the front, but just go around back and there's a large parking lot available. There's limited seating outside, but the interior is packed with table & chairs and booths. Tonight was a hump day Wednesday night and it was packed. But there was actually no one in line to order their food. Rachel got the chicken tenders. Delicious. Matthew tried the feature Korean BBQ chicken sandwich. It definitely had a Korean BBQ flavor and was spicy. Delicious. Tammy got the Bacavo Ranch sandwich. Her grilled chicken was served with bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and topped with buttermilk ranch. Yom Yom delicious. I got the Nashville Hot salad. Perfectly fried tenders laid on top of a bed of lettuce, Gouda cheese, tomatoes, fresno peppers, buttermilk ranch. My fried chicken tenders were tossed with Nashville and boy did I feel it! My tongue and lips were burning. Hot but delicious. Their official name is Super Chix Chicken & Custard. Besides chicken, their menu includes Premium Frozen Custards: vanilla, dutch chocolate and flavor of the week. Today it was Oreo Cheesecake. I tried a single scoop of the oreo cheesecake and it was so good! There are also hand spun shakes: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint, cookies n cream and a flavor of the week. Lastly they have Cold Fusions. Thicker than a shake, it's their custard blended with reeses peanut butter cups, mint oreo cookies or M&Ms and pretzels. All good reasons to return and try these. Chicken and custard... what a great idea. Oh it was a Wednesday night and customers were playing trivia with most of the customers playing... Cool!
The food is incredible! Chick-fil-A could never! Zaxby's who? Good clean ingredients along with GMO free chicken and fresh cut fries. The service was great and the restaurant itself was nice and clean.
This spot is near my doctors office and they smell soooo good every time I'm here the hubs had an appointment and we were starving afterwards he got the chicken cordon bleu & I got the bacavo sandwich both with fries my husband thoroughly enjoyed his & I wish I could say the same mine wasn't bad I think my chicken wasn't the freshest so there was more crunchy skin than meat plus the crispy bacon it was like a crunch fest in my mouth the ranch dressing was top tier so I think I'll try the salad if we come back but overall it's a cute spot if you love all things chicken great customer service

As far as chicken and fries go, this place should absolutely be in your top 3. The fried tenders pair so well with all of their sauces and the breading is so good. This was my first time trying the grilled and it might be some of my favorite grilled chicken from anywhere. The cajun fries are seasoned perfectly and you get such big portions! The service is elite for that place, you constantly have workers coming around refilling drinks, taking your trays and clean up as soon as you leave. They literally run from table to table and it's incredible to watch! The ambiance is wonderful, tvs with multiple different things playing so plenty for everyone! Its an amazing place to eat and hang out plus the food is phenomenal every time! 10/10 would recommend read more

I have been wanting to try this place since it first opened up. It was a little disappointing however. I have had better chicken tenders at lots of other establishments. I ordered two chicken tenders with a side of loaded fries. The chicken tenders just seemed overcooked and not very flavorful. I dipped it in their original sauce and their honey mustard. Not sad nor super happy honestly. I'll probably stick to Chick-fil-a and Zaxby's sauce. Their loaded fries were great however. They were topped with cheese, bacon bits, and scallions. It was a huge portion! The staff was super friendly and helpful, even asking if I wanted lemonade refills throughout the meal even though it's the self serve stations. read more

Stopped here on a whim after a movie one night and I was pleasantly surprised, it follows the simple theme of chicken fingers and fries. Though they stand out due to the quality and amount of variety they have in sauces. There isn't to much to say that it's a nice place to sit down if you are feeling some chicken and fries. I do have to dock it one point since the times I have been they have messed up my order, they are polite and fix it but still can be a bit of a nuisance. read more

The Asian Sesame salad was one of the best salads I have ever had! Stop reading this review and get the salad! You may need an extra dressing but that's it. Get the salad!!! You will love the restaurant. The custard was good too! I would have loved to see more toppings for the custard. But overall the food was AMAZING!! read more
Very clean restaurant is what I thought when I first walked in! You order at the front and sit and wait for your food. I really enjoyed the service here because it was quick and friendly. I got the Nashville chicken sandwich and my fiancé got Buffalo chicken strips with cheese fries! The food was delicious. They have a lot of different sauces that you can test out! So I tried each sauce with my fries and I like the Korean bbq the most! The chicken tasted fresh and not preserved! We also got two free custards with our meals for checking in. read more

Saw this place across the street at Shell.. I was on my way to a different eatery and decided to try. I got the loaded fries with a sandwich ( forgot name.. mini etc) I wasn't disappointed.. the food was hot and good. Staff was very nice and attentive. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area! read more

Love this place! Let me say before my post I am a mom of four. Think Nashville hot chicken with several flavors.I have now tried 3 of their signature sauces and have no complaints. They have flavors for everyone. Also our favorite menu item (besides their chicken) is the fried pickles. The atmosphere when you walk in is clean and fresh. My family has been about a dozen times now and I have never seen this restaurant dirty. Very nice family atmosphere. Also this restaurant seemed to have open during COVID and they seem to have followed protocol perfectly. The wait staff is super nice and helpful when ordering as well. I'm sure I asked 15 questions the first time we walked in. BTW they have custard and I think my husband and I fought over the last bite for at least 10 minutes! Trust me when I say, go try them out and find out for yourself. read more
I absolutely love this place! From the moment we walked in, our experience was nothing short of amazing. There are so many appetizing options on the menu which made picking something extremely hard. In the end, I ordered a 3 piece chicken tender plate with cheese fries but I'm sure I would've been satisfied with anything they had to offer. The tenders were crisp yet chunky and had the perfect amount of flavor. The Cajun cheese fries were absolutely mouthwatering; they were thin, crispy, and the cheese was filling and satisfying. One of my favorite parts about this place is the variety of dipping sauces they offer; they have anything you can think of, and plenty of it so you don't have to feel ashamed if you're a heavy dipper like myself, lol. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for whatever occasion. Great customer service and even better food! read more

Nothing particularly bad or great about the sandwiches. Tried twice and Chicken buns toppings all average. Service was fine and the kitchen and restaurant were clean. Cole slaw overly sweet. read more
Decided to go here for some food before we hit these football games. Looking over the menu and all of the photos on Yelp. I couldn't decide what I wanted but I figured in order to try the flavors I needed to get the tenders. The food took a while to come but when it came OT was delicious. My favorite and what I'll get the next time I pass thru is the Korean BBQ. Definitely a play I would recommend and would try again. Note. The fries if they say large it's enough to share with 2-3 people and are delicious with the cheese sauce! read more
Stopped by here twice in the last few weeks and ordered curbside pickup. I haven't been inside so I can't really say much about the space or the layout, but the food is definitely up to par. Both times I had a simple chicken sandwich with fries and a drink. Both times I got it quickly and piping hot. They give you so many fries that it's a little absurd, so if you've got 2 people you can just order 1 order or fries and have plenty. The sandwich is simple, delicious and has really good, fat chunky pickles on it which I think could be the best pickles in the local chicken sandwich game. Overall a good spot with solid food that's not bad for the $. I'll be back for sure. read more

Firstly, I would like to personally thank the general manager, Zeel, for his hospitality and prompt response concerning my initial review of my first experience at Super Chix. His response clearly shows his concerns and priority for the customer's satisfaction at this location. I greatly appreciate it. Since the state as allowed non-essential businesses to re-open for inside dining, I was able to come in to try out the sandwiches and sides again with the gracious help of Zeel. We ordered a couple of the bacavos, one grilled and one fried, and two sides of fried pickles and cajun fries. Per Zeel, Super Chix is food made to order, therefore, the food is not made until it has been ordered. Therefore, during the COVID dining restrictions, online and carside ordering made it quite difficult to receive fresh to order menu items (hence my initial review of the soggy fried pickles, and mediocre fries). This time around, ordering and receiving the food hot and fresh on the spot was wonderful. The sandwiches were hot, fresh, crispy, and loaded. Very delicious. The fries were crispy, well-seasoned and hot. The pickles were fresh out of the fryer, so I burnt my palate and fingers (not too serious). Overall, I believe that at this location, you can be guaranteed to receive great customer service and quality food. Zeel manages the place very well, the staff are clearly happy, and the customers enjoy finally getting some dine-in time again. I would recommend dining in at this place to get the food fresh and hot. If you do order online, dont take too long to get there. Was looking at an article that highlighted some new restaurants in the area. Close to the house, this seemed like a great place to try out. Still relatively new, ordering food took a little long. The people in front of me literally asked about every menu item. It took about 10 minutes for them to place their order. That being said, the staff was exceptionally friendly and patient answering all of their questions. My turn! I asked which was more popular the Nashville Hot (w/ signature Nashville hot dipping sauce) or the Cheesy BBQ (w/ cheddar, chopped onions & a sweet BBQ sauce). Without hesitation the employee said Nashville Hot. My decision was made! I also ordered the small basked of fries with Cajun seasoning. Really, for me, the only down side is that the meal with drink was about $12....kind of on the high side when the competition is about $4 less. The food took about 10 minutes to come out, but they were literally packed out and people were waiting for seats. Food was delivered to the table and staff checked on me throughout the meal (the other chicken guys don't do that). The Nashville Hot was really good! Not too hot, yet still had a nice kick to it. Sandwich was very large and chicken was cooked to perfection. Really the highlight for me was the Cajun fries. Perfect amount of seasoning! They were actually a little hotter then the sandwich. A small portion is also quite large. Very pleased with my meal in general. Would like to come back and try the BBQ sandwich as well as a couple of the salads. Also, they have custards (I didn't try any) and if you go on the website they give you a glimpse of the flavor of the week for the next couple months: Heath® Bar 12/23 - 1/5 Butterfinger ® 1/6 - 1/19 Cookies N' Cream 1/20 - 2/2 Strawberry Cheesecake 2/3 - 2/16 Reese's Peanut Buttercup® 2/17 - 3/1 Nutter Butter® 3/2 - 3/15 Mint Oreo® 3/16 - 3/29 All in all I really liked this place and even better how close it is to the house/on my way home from work. A lil birdie told me they have rosemary fries here. I am a sucker for all things Rosemary and these fries did not disappoint (i asked them to go heavy on the rosemary seasoning). From the menu their specialty is all things chicken and custards. I placed a to-go order which did not take very long at all. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad, chicken tenders and rosemary fries. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. Side note: Btw, they have really good ranch. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The staff was super friendly. I met the manager there, Zeel. He was kind and chatted it up a bit while I waited for my order. Overall, a good experience! read more

Brand new chicken spot that opened in the new shopping center in Hoover. I believe the chain is based out of Texas. I came on a Sunday during the beginning portion of lunch and the first wave of church being let out in the deep conservative south. As you can imagine pretty crowded with the cookie cutter families in their I just got out of church outfits. The menu is pretty straight forward you have the option of chicken tenders, chicken sandwich, or chicken salad along with and assortment of sauces to choose from. Nashville hot, buffalo, traditional are options. They have fries and tots also to accompany your tenders or sandwich. I opted for the buffalo chicken ranch sandwich and Cajun fries both were really good the fries were seasoned great and they give you plenty so in theory you could share the fries. They don't offer drive thru so you either dine in or come inside to place a to go order. Since it's located in one of the busier parts of Hoover i suspect the location to always be busy but I will say you get your food pretty quickly read more

So this is new in Hoover. We went Friday night on our way home from work. Let's start with this an upscale fast food restaurant so just realize that it is still run by teenagers. But!!!! This is the nicest and most helpful teenagers ever! I ordered the special Korean bbq chicken sandwich grilled and my daughter had the mini chicken sandwich. I will say all the chicken was cooked well but wow I had wwwwwaaaaaayyyyy to much sauce on my Korean bbq sandwich. I do love all the different sauces you can add like ranch and there own signature sauce ( thing sweet Guthrie's sauce). We will go back and I may ask for sauce on the side next time. read more

First time here from a friends request and I was not disappointed. The tenders were very juicy and moist. The sauces are excellent. The fry seasoning (rosemary pepper) was delicious. The cheese fries are to die for. They're giving Zaxby's a run for their money. In my opinion, I will definitely be coming back here in the near future. read more

I was in the area after my dermatology appointment and decided to stop by being that I consider myself a chicken sandwich connoisseur. I ordered the chicken mini sandwich because I figured that the sweetness of the Hawaiian roll and the savory chicken would pair well. Much to my disappointment, the chicken wasn't savory-- it was actually somewhat bland, but edible. The sauce selection wasn't the best either but the Korean BBQ sauce did help improve the quality of the meal. I also appreciate the fact the the sauces are self serve rather than having to ask for multiple sauces at the register. The custard made up for what the food lacked. I had the Reese's cold fusion and it was amazing! The service was also phenomenal. Overall, this place was a 6/10. I might come back and try a different meal next time, hopefully it'll be better. read more

My dad and I visited Super Chix today for the first time. We thought the food and service were both excellent. When we entered there was an employee standing at the door handing out menus and providing a well thought out explanation of each section of the menu. We placed our order at the counter, then we're given a number, and found a table. We ordered 2 Nashville Hot chicken sandwiches (fried), one regular salt fry, one regular cajun fry, and 2 fountain sodas. The total came out to $27 before the tip. The Nashville Hot sandwich came with dill pickles and buttermilk ranch on the sandwich. We both throughly enjoyed the sandwich. We felt that the regular sized fry was probably enough for sharing. The cajun fry's we're not my favorite as they were only lightly dusted with cajun seasoning. We definitely preferred the salted fry, but that's personal preference. We decided to try all of the sauces they offered with our meal and our favorite was definitely the Nashville hot or the Korean bbq. The atmosphere was very upbeat and we really loved the open garage doors with the fresh air. Our only small complaints are as follows... We felt that there should be a combo available for a sandwich, side, and drink for one price. Also we really appreciate the reusable trays and paper products, but we wish there were paper cups available for the sauces instead of plastic.
