The sweet roll with large pickles, Mayo, and some yummy (sweet) chicken.... So good! I'm not a Fry fan BUT their extra-crispy thinly cut fries will have you back for seconds. Not to mention their three types of seasoning that you can add to your fries, I added all three! But, I haven't gotten to my favorite part.... They have a sauce station!! While DoorDashin thru the city, I came across this eatery. I love me a good chicken sammich, who doesn't but the cherry op top is when SLAW is added. Of course being the Yelper that I am, I opened up Google to see some reviews. Clicked on a link that lead me to the Super Chix Facebook page, I had the option to chat with them ( computer generated I'm sure) and was credited a 50% coupon for my first Korean BBQ sandwich or salad! #heckyeah!! Paused my dash and drove back. While I was working, the older Hispanic gentleman was very attentive, warm and welcoming.. I remember that, coming bsck for my own personal experience, he was just as sweet and welcoming. Checked out the menu and decided to go with the Korean BBQ sandwich and loaded cajun cheese fries. I wish I could upload my video here, presentation was everything and nicely plated. The slaw was piled high, with THICK cut pickles. Wowwwwww The Asian zing/flare was perfect!! Flavorful. The cheese fries were just right, just enough crisp and crunch. I've been thinking about this dining experience and sandwich with slaw for several days now and I've dedicated my dinner to a quick and easy meal that I know won't disappoint!!!! Don't normally leave a bad review, but honestly the prices are too high for basic chicken fingers. The chicken fingers had no taste, fries and onion rings were greasy. So this is chain has just recently arrived to the Birmingham area and so everyone is curious about it. My husband and I went to check it out since he has been dying to try it given that we didn't have one close to us. We have been here five times already and can I say how obsessed I am with their rosemary pepper hand-cut fries!The menu is pretty straight forward. Have your chicken breaded or grilled. My husband went straight for a Korean BBQ chicken sandwich it first time and loved it. The fries are amazing. Fresh cut and you can choose from a variety of seasoning - rosemary pepper, my personal fave, Cajun, my daughter's choice or sweet which gives it an almost kettle corn type of season. We love their chicken tenders. Lots of flavor and they come out piping hot. The food is made to order so it's nice to know that. They also have frozen custard, but we have yet to try any of it since we always leave completely full. It's hard not to drive by and crave those fries! Try it out! read more

Came here on a weekend night pretty soon after opening. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They operate in a fast casual system and even though the line was long, the service was speedy. They have a large variety of sauce options to choose from. I decided on the Stuffed Avocado Sandwich and added a chicken patty to it. It was an entire fried avocado stuffed with gouda cheese on a sandwich. It was pretty impressive and extremely tasty. The chicken was fried to perfection and the breading was delicious. First time at Super Chix. Went on a Saturday around 11am. We stayed until about 12:30. First, let me just say that the line went from the register to the door the ENTIRE time we were there. People just kept coming in!! Naturally, since it was my first time, we got a ton of food. The Korean BBQ sauce was soooooooo good. I loved the coleslaw because it didn't have too much mayo. Everything else was pretty good. The establishment was a good size. It did take a few minutes to find a table. It was just sooooo busy. The staff was INCREDIBLE. 5 star service. I came here a second time around. The food and service is still consistent. I am updating my review to five stars from my previous 4 star review. I ordered the special of the day, which at the time of my visit , was a Korean bbq chicken sandwich and I had cajun fries . The sandwich had a little too much sauce for my liking, but still had really good flavor, juicy filled chicken fillet. I love the fries here but I wish the fries were more seasoned. I really am impressed by the consistency of the service here; the staff goes above and beyond to make sure guests are taken care of! My sister ordered the grilled chicken avocado salad and it was massive! This salad was topped with fried avocado , stuffed with gouda cheese and was delicious! I plan to order this on my next visit to Super Chix. I must also state that management addressed the issue I expressed on my previous review and this certainly deserves KUDOS for sure!!! read more

We ate at Super Chix last night, planning to carry out; but, there were so few people and the staff was cleaning all the tables and surfaces, that we felt safe eating in. The staff were great and Xavier, who took our order, was funny, kind, and helpful. I had the chicken mini with fries and my husband had the Crispy Avo salad and both were great! We tried a couple of sauces and they were good, as well, with Koran BBQ being the highlight. We topped off the meal with a scoop of frozen custard, chocolate for me, and strawberry swirl for the hubby. Everything was delicious! My friend has eaten here almost everyday since they've opened and recommended it to all our friends so i was so excited to try it. It was a Saturday so of course it was busy and packed however the line moved extremely fast. I was worried about seating it's not a big building and some people were standing around waiting on seating. Luckily we found a booth and for it to be packed the staff did a great job of making sure the available tables were cleared promptly and cleaned. The staff is extremely friendly they brought our food out quickly. I ordered the tenders in buffalo sauce and thoroughly enjoyed them. My only complaint was no blue cheese which is my fave with buffalo. All in all i will be back to try other menu options and of course a shake. read more

For the last two weeks, I've been on a "chicken tender quest"--searching throughout Birmingham for crispy, juicy, and--dare I say it?--tender chicken strips. And from what I've been able to discern, there are a host of options available in the Greater Birmingham area: Hattie B's, Gus's, Eugene's, Guthrie's, Jim 'n Nick's, and waaayy out on the border, Super Chix. As Dave Portnoy has said, "We try 'em all till we try 'em all." So with this as my mantra, out to Super Chix I headed. Nestled adjacent to an Aldi's and tucked away in a little, mini strip mall, with troubling parking dynamics, there it was: Super Chix. (I nearly missed it twice because of its ultra-low-key signage.) Entering the standing-open front door (air-conditioning out?), one instantly notes the enormous menu on the right-hand wall, which states in giant letters: "Fresh Chicken Tenders!" Stepping up to order, one also gathers in a few moments that everything is à la carte. Yep. Fries. Drinks. The Tenders Themselves. Everything is set up to be acquired separately. Oh, ummmm, okay. So I ordered 5 tenders--three "regular" and two "Nashville-hot" style. I also ordered an iced tea. The total? More than $16 dollars! The young person taking my order told me that the dipping sauces were available across the room, as was the tea. Oh, ummmm, okay #2. Handed my order number on a stick, I ambled over to the beverage area, with its four tea urns. Drawing a half-and-half mix of tea, I took a swig. "Eeegads," I croaked. The tea had been sitting so long that it had "turned" and taken on a decidedly fermented taste. (If you've ever experienced this before, you know what I mean.) Fortunately, the two backup urns of tea rendered a more bearable concoction. Becoming slightly disoriented at this point, I'd completely forgotten the dipping sauces. I took a seat, and in about 8-9 minutes, another young person approached my table with a small metal pan, upon which were stationed the smallish 5-tender entrée. The three "regular" tenders looked oily and dark as if they'd been sitting in another pan for at least an hour. The two "Nashville-hot" tenders were exactly the same; they'd just had a slathering of some kind of orangey goop poured over them. So the forgotten sauces were not missed. I tried one of the "Nashville-hot" tenders first. Ugh! It was coldish, chewy, and slimy, while being pungently hot-flavored. I then tried one of the "regular" tenders. It, too, was over-cooked, dry-ish, flavorless, and chewy. Indeed, all of the tenders conveyed a texture of having been cooked long beforehand and placed in a holding pan. I threw away the unctuous mess and slurped down the brackish tea, telling myself that I would return to give Super Chix one more try. And so I did. I came back the very next afternoon, relating to yet another young and pleasant clerk in an easygoing manner my experience the day before with the "un-fresh" tenders. The young man said in a good-natured way that they'd be sure to "Get things right today." I again ordered the $16 dollar 5 tenders, no sides, medium tea non-combo....and waited. 10 minutes later, my 5-tender pan arrived. So help me, it was exactly the same as the day before: overcooked, cold, chewy, and unappetizing. But I chewed on one of the tenders, just to seem pleasant. Then, I called one of the young servers over, stating that these tenders were cold. I didn't go into any discussion of the previous day. I just asked if I might have some fresh tenders. The young man hastily took my pan over to the order-taker for a meeting, and other young people gathered around them. They all seemed to agree that the food was not up to par. The young server returned, and he related that they would "cook some fresh tenders." My eyes automatically turned to the giant wall-menu that screamed "Fresh Chicken Tenders!" When the "fresh" tenders arrived, I was no longer interested. I took a bite or two and threw the junky assemblage into a trash receptacle. "Trash Chix," I heard myself mumble as I sprinted for the door. read more

I go to lunch once a month with my coworkers. We decided to go to Super Chix and try them out. It does get crowded around 11:30am, and there were people standing around, waiting for tables to empty out. The cashier was extremely friendly, and made suggestions on what she liked. We ordered separately and waited at the table. We also could get our choice of dipping sauces in the corner. We all got different sandwiches, and different seasonings on our fries, and we all enjoyed them. One of the ladies ordered the mini vanilla custard, and it came to the table looking like a medium size - wow. She said it was good. Another lady ordered the chocolate shake, and had to wait 30 minutes before she could get it through the straw!! My Deluxe sandwich with avocado and the rosemary black pepper fries were flavorful and tasty. No pics this time, sadly. I will have to return for a salad because it looks SO amazing! Even as we were walking out to the car, one of the table runners opened the side door and told us to have a great day. That is what I call caring about the customer! read more

I've been to Super Chix a handful of times and have always had a great experience! I took my Dad for Father's Day and he loved it too! Stopped by today for lunch with my fiancé. We normally get the rosemary fries (so good) but decided to get the pickles today and WOW best pickles we've ever had! All of the employees are kind and helpful. The guy who took our order today had a great attitude and was very helpful. I love how they check on you multiple times throughout your meal and bring you anything you may need. The hype is real! I heard about this place from a coworker and immediately looked it up on Yelp. After reviewing a few photos, I knew I must make the trek from downtown to try it. I arrived around 3pm on a Saturday and it was relatively busy, but I only had to wait ~10 minutes for my food. I ordered the buffalo ranch fried chicken sandwich with fries. When it came out the sandwich was HUGE and the fries were a literal mountain! The chicken sandwich was swimming in buffalo and ranch which is what I love! There was a huge piece of chicken and it was absolutely delish! The bread was soft and fresh. The fries were very good, but I felt guilty throwing away 3/4 of them because there were just too many.
