Only gripe was that the beef was spread throughout the wrap but the toppings (sour cream, lettuce, avocado) were all squished into one end so most of it was just beef and only at the end did I get to the good part. Vegetarian options and kid menu. Service is friendly and welcoming. I get the carne asada burrito and I love it smothered - enchilada sauce and cheese. Food here is flavorful and fresh. I'm not being biased but I do hold the Rockaways in my heart, I lived here for a large part of my teenage life. It was heart breaking to see it destroyed after Hurricane Sandy. The area has thrived and the restaurant and business owners here have worked very hard to make this area liveable and joyful again. Came here after a day at the beach and loved it me. We got burritos and she also got an order of chips and salsa and really liked the salsa. It was much thicker than normal. I got the California burrito with carne Asada, and she got the burrito with Carnitas. Service Was a bit slow. It seems like they make everything at once. No one was getting their order for 5- 10 minutes and then suddenly 5 people got their orders, so I wouldn't say to come if you're in a rush, but definitely one burrito is quite filling and satisfying. There is free water room temp so not that cold. I love the music they were playing huge fan. Luckily it was a non-humid day so it was great to sit outside. Why are so many of these places so hyped yet so mediocre? I've had both the carnitas and shrimp burrito from here. Both were "ok". Mostly consisted of watery, waxy pinto beans and rice with not enough meat. What little meat there was wasn't interesting. Both visits here did not live up to expectations. The menu, while small is very delicious. I ordered a smothered carne asada burrito, a chicken taco, and a cheese and salsa quesadilla. The portions are tremendously huge as the burrito was the biggest I've ever seen and the taco was overstuffed. The value is definitely there and you get way more than you pay for. Tried this little spot today for 1st time and it was really great. My son has been a rabid fan since they opened last year. The menu is simple, basically bowls, tacos, burritos & quesadillas. The kitchen space is bright , spanking clean & new & bigger than the dining space which right now is 3 or 4 small booths that are not available due to current Covid restrictions. There are some non menu specials posted that are geared to both Vegan & Carnivores appetites ! Prices are very fair. We took our food home and when I unwrapped the burrito I couldn't believe how huge it was. It was Insanely delicious & flavorful. Did not need Any extra sauces , great as is! My other 1/2 had 2 tacos & was also raving about how great they were. Going to make this a regular go to spot. I wish this place was closer to my house. I would be a healthier person if I ate this every day. I've been to the one in Rockaway and to the gorgeous new restaurant in Williamsburg. Love all the beautiful wood, stone and tile. Everyone was working so diligently and still took time to be so friendly. Very fun vibe! So many interesting people hanging out - having fun. The veggie burrito was incredibly delicious! The beans, veggies , cheese, sour cream. Etc, were layered in so perfectly that every bite included it all. The food was so fresh! This place was busy for a Monday night. The person working the cash register was very kind and acknowledged us right away, but seemed a bit stressed because it was so busy. There were a couple seats at the window open so we sat and waited for our food. When we got our food we sat outside, which was a nice option. We ordered queso and chips and a chicken burrito smoldered in enchilada sauce and cheese. The chips were just store bought which is disappointing, but what was really disappointing was the burrito. The sauce tasted like watered down ketchup, the chicken inside the burrito was dry and looked a grey/green color and the tortilla was mushy. We took one bite and threw it away. I was gonna go inside and get my money back because that burrito was completely inedible, and I should get a refund, but I was hangry and needed actual food. A complete let down and a bummer. The burrito was packed with beans and rice and a good amount of steak, all seasoned and cooked well. The sauce was more of a tomato based sauce, wasn't great but wasn't bad either. The poblano and steak is good but it could be a lot better. The rice isn't good, the beans are kinda flavorless. The quesadillas are the best but if you go with all the fixings it gets soggy. If being wrapped to-go they should add the topping. Keep it separate. I'm so glad we have a burrito shop in Rockaway but this falls a bit short. I'm not ruling them out however. In the past year(?) or so, they changed their menu and The past 3 times I've had quesadillas I've been disappointed. We got them again today and my quesadilla was... soggy. Actually dripping wet from some sort of liquid. I had to use napkins to try and help keep it together because the liquid made it start falling apart.
