My fiancé bought back some fish tacos from here and I instantly loved it! It was so good and flavorful that we decided to go to the restaurant to try their other tacos fresh. Unfortunately parking is super difficult around this area for us so we decided to purchase take out again to eat in the car. We both got the fish tacos again and tried out the brisket one - their smoked flavor for the brisket was insane!! Fast forward, a few months later my fiancé bought back their taco flight which had brisket, fish, chicken, veggie, shrimp, and pork and none of them disappointed. This is such a good option for you to try out all of them! The veggie one was even surprisingly good with some potatoes in it. They're small tacos. Until yesterday, I ordered an LA burrito which includes a choice of various meats as well as a "veggie" option. I was skeptical since what veggies would be included wasn't specified, however I went off past experiences and trusted it would he a typical veggie you'd find in a burrito (peppers, onions). Wrong! Pico just did a little refresh of the menu and it is so worth it to eat there. We odered the honey chipotle wings, they were cooked perfect. The sauce for the wings is delicious! We also had the cabbage salad, added grilled chicken and the burger. We added the pepper jack cheese and the onion straws. The dressing on the salad as well as the sauce for the burger are a 10 out of 10! As for the service, Sean was our server and he was great! Very attentive knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs, more sauce please! Pico is lucky to have him! I recommend going and trying the new menu items! Been wanting to try this place. First off, food is awesome. Started off with the crab artichoke guacamole and the shrimp empanadas. Crab and artichoke were mixed in with guacamole, little weird but good. The tortilla chips and seasoned and are great. Shrimp empanadas are tasty and come with a mango sauce. The Caesar salad was so good, I want it everyday. Why did it come with tortillas? Don't know, but not complaining. The tacos are all good. Especially the lamb special. Service is alright, there wasn't a hostess at the front and took a little while for someone to seat us. Front part of the restaurant is nice with the bar and elevated booths. Currently exploding. This place was DELICIOUS!!!! when I'm in the area would totally return. Everything we ate was great, but the short rib burrito was perfect and the bread pudding- OMG. It's made out of croissants and totally decadent. I don't normally eat nachos but someone recommended them, and they were so creamy and had lots of meat and cheese- so rich! We also had elote and a fish taco (not pictured). Both were delicious as well, very fresh! The service was excellent as well. Our server was very attentive. First time to the area and this restaurant; drove 45min and tbh it was worth it. That's aside from the wait time because we had not done a reservation. The spot was packed but vibrant with music and people having a good time. The service was delightful and very good. If you like real Mexican food do not eat here. I ordered a veggie burrito and it came with refried beans that oozed of pork and broccoli rabe. Seriously? In response to the owners comment. Yes I checked the no meat box when I ordered. I am not, however, a vegetarian although I did clearly ask for no meat. The beans which could have been edible with a hint of pork, tasted like a slab of ham. Way too much pork. And even if you are not an authentic Mexican restaurant, your burritos should not taste like a a slab of ham and bitter broccoli rabe. As for the other order, I was told the black beans in the meat burrito tasted like they had been sitting out for days. Everything on the menu is so good, it's impossible to decide what to order. You can also get their pastrami or brisket on a tray of nachos. Their burger is also decadent & incredible. Their Bloody Mary mix is as good as the best gazpacho I've tried. The salads are also on point. My peeps also like their chili-dusted fries, but I wld prefer to eat more tacos. Very friendly folks and a local vibe. The food esthetic of Rockaway beach taco which was a "food thing" will never be replicated though, FYI . Destiny brought me here. I was on my usual bike ride on Beach Channel Drive when I got a flat and found a nail in my tire. With no patch kit or spare tubes left, I accepted defeat and requested a pick up from my wonderful wife. Once she arrived, I loaded my bike in her trunk and we settled on having dinner nearby which led us to Pico. The menu had a nice variety but was well organized making it very approachable. I started with an Oktoberfest fest and we ordered a couple apps - the fried yucca and the shrimp empanadas. Both were very flavorful. I really like the textural contrast of the yucca which has a crispy exterior and a soft, starchy inside. It had almost middle eastern style seasoning and paired really well with the table sauces. For the main course we shared the taco platter and added a seventh taco that was not part of the platter. The platter included smoked chicken, vegetable, pork, shrimp, brisket, and salmon tacos. All of them were great but my favorite was the smoked chicken which had a super smoker and unique flavor. We also had their pastrami taco which was Reuben sandwich adapted to a taco. Our waiter recommend the bread pudding and the tres leche for dessert. My wife decided on the bread pudding and it turned out to me a fantastic selection. The bread portion of the pudding was actually croissants and it was topped with ice cream and caramel sauce. It was delicious! Do not leave without trying one of their desserts.
