This one is a mixed bag. There was nobody at the desk on arrival or departure- but when we phoned on arrival, someone came right away & we were checked in quickly to room 122 by a nice gent. For departure, I left the keys in the basket marked "leave keys here" - seemed logical. There is mention of a renovation & I'm going to say it was a soft remodel. We appreciated the updated decor. I love it when the room look suits the area. It was rather odd tho. On entry you were at the sink, as in the door would hit you. The chain on the door was completely gone & since I do like to use the extra lock (whatever one it happens to be) I like for it to actually be there. Next was the open closet area with hangers and luggage stand, pretty standard. We had 2 beds, because it's what was available with the late booking. The room with the toilet and tub/shower combo was a tight squeeze, especially since the door opened in & hit the floor, preventing it from fully opening. It was, as the hubs put it, and "back in to use" situation. Otherwise, the room was clean and well-decorated. We didn't go to breakfast. It is 6-9am all days, per the sign & we decided to just hit the road. Was I blown away by this property? No. Overall, would I stay there again? Absolutely... it was a decent value, (especially if you compare it to Cody!) clean & the beds were comfortable- the rest I can certainly work around... just use that back up beeper & all... Reserved 2nights for $230 (fri & sat) went back online and changed to 3 nights (thur,Fri, Sat) and was charged $487. Front desk couldn't understand why I was upset at more than double the rate for 1extra night. Place is dirty and cheap. Keep going down the road and find something else. read more

When we checked in and saw our room it was a decent room. We notice that the bed had 3 SMALL pillows I called the front desk and asked for another pillow. He said you have to come here to get it. My wife went down and was told "we don't have any pillows" only towels. My wife asked for another towel as the room only had 2 The desk troll was asking her why do you need another towel. Ugh. The "breakfast "! Is a complete joke. They only make coffee when asked. The pots are almost always empty. They had the waffle maker 1 loaf of bread and a tiny tray of muffins. No fruit. I checked out this place to visit Yellowstone National Park this place wasn't bad. It was clean. I checked the beds, but I didn't check all the sheets there was a little tear in one of the beds But I thought that was it I was about to go to sleep when I realized there was another sheet that I haven't checked. Dreadful. Mid May 2025. We had requested a downstairs room and were given one. Key cards did not work. Took several "fixes" to work. Then A/C did not work. It took a while to be believed on that. Meantime, we had moved in all our stuff. We were given another room down the hall. We moved all our stuff there and then the key cards didn't work again. This time, they could not be fixed. We said we were leaving. Manager tried to get us to use a room on second floor attained by stairs. We are seniors. We had requested downstairs for a reason. We don't haul luggage upstairs. Being burned twice was enough in any case. Manager blamed us because we did not want an upstairs room. I will only say both rooms were clean from what we could see. But never again. read more

Pros: - price is really good compared to hotels 25 minutes away in Cody. - really love The rustic feeling of the decor and the furniture - we checked in late at night (11pm) and the attendant greeted us with sincere friendliness and kindness. After a rough day of dealing with rude people that was such a blessing!!! - bathroom was clean and nicely stocked with toiletries - linens clean does AC works really well - all the basics covered (luggage rack, hangers, coffee pot, hair dryer, refrigerator (already cold!!! Huge plus), microwaves Cons: - dirty behind the beds and on the box springs (I always check for bed bugs first thing into a hotel). See pics - pillows not that comfortable. Blankets seam old and worn and the sheets don't fit the mattress - pool closed for repairs - general dust/ dirt on plugs, floor, screens, cetera. Just really feels like it needs a deep cleaning. Couldn't open the window due to holes in the screen. See pics if it wasn't for this I would definitely have given four stars. I just really liked the rustic feel of the place, the Western decor, and just how sweet the check-in person was. For the price point ($95 ) I think three stars is accurate taking everything into account. read more

This place is awesome! I was a little skeptical due to the fact that upon our arrival, there was some guy out front swearing up a storm about some woman sleeping with his husband. However,the place is outstanding. The General Manager Larry was very organized and accommodating. The whole hotel is trimmed out in a western motif including spliit rail trim around each room's doorway in the hallways. The rooms are spacious, good quality towels, a lowboy dresser, 2 chairs, 2 night stands with each lamp having two outlets built in, as well as a nice table that doubles as a desk and plenty of decent notions. And wait until you see the sitting room which is like a luxurious man-cave including mounted Buffalo heads and leather chairs. The breakfast area is spacious and has a nice selection for breakfast. We use Super 8's frequently in our travels to visit all of the NOs in the lower 48. This is in the top 5. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Wyndham, you should be ashamed of your name. You own 3 properties in this small town. They are all terrible. You take money from desperate people looking for a place to stay and you put zero effort into keeping up these properties. This town desperately needs decent lodging. This place was filthy. I would not recommend it to anyone. The bathroom was nasty. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed. The sheets had stains on them. The coffee maker wasn't working. We should have requested a refund and left. I wish that I could post pictures but can't figure out how to do it. My advice would be to avoid this place. read more

Desperation brought us here. There was nothing else available at the time. This place is really really bad. I mean REALLY bad. Cheap but awful. Sleep in the car if you can - its safer and cleaner and more comfortable. You do get what you pay for like stained sheets, blood or jam on the bedspread (we slept in sleeping bags on top of the bed it was so gross), and the best part was rodents running through the ceiling and walls all night. Also very trashy people staying here, partying all night and their kids running down the hall. The walls and ceiling are razor thin and you can hear everything including the gross biker couple next door. It was enchanting. read more

I stayed here in 2016 or 2017 when it was very dirty. I was worried about staying here again, but this time it was cleaner. I stayed one night early in the week and two nights later in the week. The front desk staff was friendly, though the desk had no attendant when I came down at 5:00 to check to see if my second night was confirmed before we had to hit the road for that day. There are two cons this time: 1) The keypad to the side door where you put in a code to enter the building is filthy. That sucker needs a good cleaning! 2) There is no breakfast at all being served at this time, probably due to COVID. The carpets could still use a bit more cleaning/vacuuming, but it was much better than last time. read more

Terrible!!! Our 'non-smoking' room smelled like my grandmothers house who's smoked like a chimney her entire life. Hair everywhere that wasn't ours...tried to change rooms because of the smell and was basically told too bad. Just overall dirt and run down. The breakfast was an even bigger joke, about 4 slices of white bread and some cold hard boiled eggs were all that were left and no one that worked there to be seen. Options in Powell are limited...drive further and avoid like the plague! read more

I forgot how filthy this place is. The last time I stayed here, I made a complaint about the filth. The manager made an excuse about having trouble with the help. I left the tip envelope behind the door, because there were several dead bugs, millers and flies, etc. I figured if she wanted to find the tip envelope, she'd might see the bugs. This time, there was semen all down the duvet. To her credit, the desk clerk moved us immediately. She let us examine the next room. It was basically clean. It does need some vacuuming, though. There is a thick film of dust behind the front door and you can tell that the whole room hasn't been vacuumed very well. We have family in this town, and stay quite often. We will never stay at this hotel, ever again! I definitely won't ever refer anybody to this hotel! This hotel could be very nice, if management would insist on cleanliness. Apparently they don't care. Okay... updating... the 2nd room didn't have a top sheet. Only the bottom sheet and blanket. read more

this hotel is a joke. The person at the front desk charged my credit card twice! and 6 days later I am still not refunded. Also, the night person who is suppose to run the desk was asleep on the couch in the relaxation room was asleep all cover up with blankets. I was afraid to disturb him during his sleep. The room itself was clean. Very noisy. I could hear the person above me walking in their room. I contacted the hotel about the 2nd charge and NO ONE knows how to fix the problem! We stayed there recently and I have to say that I would avoid this motel in the future. The place has potential and looks like they have tried to do remodeling but otherwise very poor maintenance and dirty. I would not recommend this motel to others. This place is a dump. The room was past the point of nasty. I know they did not clean this room because there was empty pop bottles next to the bed and let me make sure I tell you the main window to our room was opened all the way. Maybe that was to knock down the smell when you enter. Wish I would have read the reviews before we came here. It was very late when we booked this room and I didn't check. They really need to get rid of the cleaning people here. If I could give this less stars I would. read more
