For departure, I left the keys in the basket marked "leave keys here" - seemed logical. There is mention of a renovation & I'm going to say it was a soft remodel. We appreciated the updated decor. I love it when the room look suits the area. It was rather odd tho. On entry you were at the sink, as in the door would hit you. The chain on the door was completely gone & since I do like to use the extra lock (whatever one it happens to be) I like for it to actually be there. Next was the open closet area with hangers and luggage stand, pretty standard. We had 2 beds, because it's what was available with the late booking. The room with the toilet and tub/shower combo was a tight squeeze, especially since the door opened in & hit the floor, preventing it from fully opening. It was, as the hubs put it, and "back in to use" situation. Otherwise, the room was clean and well-decorated. We didn't go to breakfast. It is 6-9am all days, per the sign & we decided to just hit the road. Was I blown away by this property? No. Overall, would I stay there again? Absolutely... it was a decent value, (especially if you compare it to Cody!) clean & the beds were comfortable- the rest I can certainly work around... just use that back up beeper & all... "beep beep beep" to the toilet.

He said you have to come here to get it. My wife went down and was told "we don't have any pillows" only towels. My wife asked for another towel as the room only had 2 The desk troll was asking her why do you need another towel. Ugh. The "breakfast "! Is a complete joke. They only make coffee when asked. The pots are almost always empty. They had the waffle maker 1 loaf of bread and a tiny tray of muffins. No fruit. No protein The pool was empty and full of matresses

Horseshoe Bend Motel is a nice, non-chain place that has the quirky charm of an old school hotel…read morecommon in small communities. The front desk staff is small town friendly. It's well-maintained, has modern conveniences: a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, smart tv, and wi-fi that works well. There was an old fashioned looking radio to keep with the theme, but it also had blue tooth for a nod to the modern. The bed is comfortable but the pillows were a little weird: two were standard soft and two were heavy and filled with something that made them good for sitting up in bed but not for sleeping. Maybe that was the point because this room did not have a chair. The bathroom was separated from the room by a barn door that saved space although the bathroom was roomy enough. Horseshoe also provided a separate set of towels in all sizes for cleaning shoes, wiping off mud, or dealing with general messes. This was much better than those small disposable squares. There's only real keys for entry into rooms, with a big metal key chain attached, so it's unlikely to get lost. It's a nice break from the plastic cards used in modern hotels, but doesn't fit into the pocket as easily. Numbered parking for the room is right outside your door, sort of, but I'm not sure anyone was paying attention to matching room number with parking spot but you'll be reasonably close.

The beautiful western decor, the cleanliness, and SUPERB hospitality nails this place out of the park. Bobbi, the owner, is THE MOST generous and humble woman - she'll wake up at 4:15 AM and brew fresh hot coffee for our production team, video crew, and cowboy talent before we run out the door for early call time. I can't recommend this place enough! Bobbi has really outdone herself. I can't wait to see what else she add's to the place! Boot Barn loves the Horseshoe Bend Motel!

As you drive in and see the grounds covered in flowers and grassy areas, you immediately know that the place is well cared for. The room was spacious (for a motel), the shower and bathroom were clean and well maintained. We loved it! If there is anything semi-negative to say, there is not always someone at the "front desk," but there is a phone number you can call if no one is there. That said, the front desk is in a lobby which is locked if someone is not at the desk. That means no access to ice if you needed it. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone.

Take a chance and try a small-town motel, like the Cattlemen…read more It's an unusual property, about a block off the main street, in a quiet residential area, with only a few rooms, some of them pet-friendly, and at least one is a small apartment. That's the one I had. It's an older property. The front desk has limited hours. Check-in is simple, so is parking that allows parking in front of your room. You get a real key for your room. Cattlemen is not set up like a traditional motel. There are rooms on both sides of the building, but you don't realize it unless you walk around the property or have one of the rooms on the side street. I didn't hear any noises from any of the adjoining rooms, but the air conditioning might have muffled it. The room I had was a mini apartment with a full kitchen, big screen tv, sofa, kitchen table, a lot of closet and storage places. Although I didn't need any of that, I think this room would be a good place if I were in the area for an extended period of time or were traveling with kids. Being able to shop for groceries and have a meal in your room would be a nice break from restaurants. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well. There were only a couple of amenities in the bathroom but plenty of towels and hot water. There's a cute garden area in the front near the office and outside the other rooms on the side street. Some of the rooms on the side street have chairs outside the doors for guests to sit and enjoy their coffee (or other) as they watch small town life unfold in the residential area it shares. Cattlemen Motel is cute and quirky.
