Locally owned small motel. Easy parking and very very clean! Needs further work. Gas heater in the room made a loud bang every time it shut off. A little disconcerting in the middle of the night! You've got to be kidding?! All 5 star reviews except 1 4 star? Is this the Motel 6 crowd? Maybe we had an unlucky night but the room was freezing when we arrived, the heat didn't work, although I think our body temperature is slowly warming the place. The pillows just plain suck. On the bright side, the room seems to be reasonably clean, reasonably sized and the owner very pleasant. And it's way better than sleeping in our car (I'll let you know if the morning, but I may still need to move to my car to warm up). There are some other choices in town ... you might want to consider one. read more

An absolute 5 stars! Young wife and husband owned/operated inn. Was greeted when I arrived (after riding a motorcycle ride through the Beartooth Highway) with free access to a Yeti cooler filled with ice cold beer! Wow! What a welcome experience. Place is maintained immaculately. Bathrooms are new. Everything feels perfectly maintained. Even has a hot tub outside. Don't miss out on staying here. Best lodging experience of my trip to Yellowstone. Even stayed at the Yellowstone Lodge (which has bad service and is pretentious) and this place at a fifth of the cost was a much better lodging experience. read more

I'm currently traveling across the country and have stayed in 5 hotels so far on the trip. Without a doubt this has been my favorite. The hotel room is super comfortable and clean. It also has a bedroom which was really nice and unexpected for the price. I love Red Lodge and this little inn really fits in with the town. The woman at the desk was also the owner. This unassuming little motel was fantastic. We had our own little cabin and it was spotlessly clean. In the morning, we went to the outdoor cafe at the lobby to redeem our free breakfast. I expected a runny scrambled egg buffet but all the breakfasts were made to order. Simple but delicious! The outdoor patio was a little chilly but there was a firepit and hot coffee :) I was incredibly impressed watching a young man who worked behind the coffee bar. Every time he had a free moment, he would come out to the front, wipe down the counter and turn all the bottles of condiments facing labels out. He even wiped clean a jar of jam. I said to my husband if I were the CEO of a company, I'd hire him in a heartbeat! You can just tell when someone cares about their job. We visited Sept. 8, 2019. Finally, you can't beat the location. I was traveling to Red Lodge to visit my son and looking for a convenient location to his house plus near downtown for exploring the restaurants and retail. This turned out to be a gem! Great rates and the owners were so great at making me feel welcome from the very first moment. The rooms were very clean and provided refrigerators and microwaves. The linens were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, this was a short trip but I will be back and would happily stay for a week at this location. Right across the street is Rock Creek and with the window down at night the sound of it roaring past was so relaxing (yes I felt safe with the window down). read more

Red Lodge is wonderful. it's your standard cabin type room with comfortable linen, cable tv, two windows, and most impressively, a bath tub jacuzzi. I enjoyed the cleanliness over my 1 night stay and proximity of 5 minutes to downtown where you will find fine dining, bakeries, cafes, pizza joints, etc. My only compliant is there was a random neighbor slamming the door and entering/exiting her room which was right next door from midnight-3am. I slept the rest of the evening and generally felt safe. read more

Tiffany and Dan have been wonderful. We became stranded when what we are calling a flash freeze snow storm stranded our motorcycles on Beartooth Pass. They were able to take us in and have gone above and beyond to help us and to help us get our bikes back down. Their Inn is beautiful and would definitely recommend them to everyone. read more

Very rarely do I run into customer service like this. My friends and I arrived here after riding over from Missoula, towards the end of a 11 day motorcycle trip. We checked in, and shortly after that, a hail storm blew in, cancelling our plans to ride up to Beartooth Pass. While the storm was going on, I had a chance to chat with the owner, who told me how he and his wife had liked the area so much while skiing there that they had decided to move from the Twin Cities, and give it a go with the business. He told me of all the improvements that they have made so far, and of further improvements planned, so it's only going to get better. My room was very roomy, clean, well stocked with toiletries, and had free wi-fi. And the owners continued to act as hosts, offering to take us into town on a beer run, should we desire, so that we didn't have to ride our wet motorcycles, and being up at it early (6:45a) the next day, bringing us towels to wipe our bikes down before leaving. It felt more like staying over at a relative's house, and relative's that you like! ;) So besides the place being a nice place to stay, support the entrepreneur by throwing some business these nice folks' way! read more

My buddies and I were in town for a hike and we stayed a couple days at the Red Lodge Inn last week. I'll be honest, I can't really make a comparison to other hotels in the area since I have not stayed in any of them and after my experience at the Red Lodge Inn I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The owners Daniel and Tiffany are some of the finest people I have ever met. The hospitality and customer service they provided us is indeed a rare thing nowadays. The rooms were clean, the water was hot, and free cable tv and free wifi. There is a hot tub, BBQ, and a smoker for cooking up your catch if you are lucky. In the mornings they have a simple but satisfying offering of coffee, cocoa, fruit, oatmeal and assorted mini pastries. Other places may have better prices or better amenities but I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in town besides the Red Lodge Inn. read more

Very nicely renovated motel originally built in 1947 or so. Owners were very nice and polite. Room was clean and neat. Two things that would make it a 5 star in my book are more plugs for things like CPAPs and cell phones near the bed and an earlier coffee than 7 am. Otherwise it was great. read more

Great place, really nicely upgraded. Stopped thru on our Sturgis trip thru Bear Tooth. Very Biker friendly. Laid towels out on the bikes for us in the morning. They had a cooler with beer to visit in the evening, grill to BBQ if u wanted to stay in, or good recommendations to a tasty local eatery. Basic breakfast; granola bars, oatmeal.. good coffee and juice. Called to check on the weather before we left in the rain.. real close to skiing; didn't get to check it out this time! read more

Stayed a week for the summer activities around town, was not disappointed. This is by far the cleanest room I have ever rented, smelled clean, not just like cleaning solutions. There is a creek across the street that sounds amazing and the little park along side it was perfect for walking along and picnics. We were close enough to town we were able to walk on for a nice dinner and shopping. Parking right in front the room which made it easy to load and unload our luggage. Will definitely be picking this hotel when we come to ski this winter! (It also has an amazing hot tub!) read more

We called ahead for reservation from Jackson, WY last night looking for a place to stay following our drive through Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Found the Red Lodge Inn on Yelp. The Inn has new owners, a young couple from Minnesota, who bought the Inn 4 or 5 months ago. They've been working on remodeling the rooms. We stayed in a king size deluxe room with a kitchenette. Very satisfactory. We arrived by car, but it would be a great place to stay on a motorcycle trip. read more

We found this place by pure luck and serendipity after we had planned to stay in Billings. DRIVE THE EXTRA HOUR--you won't be sorry. Red Lodge is a magical little town and this place was wonderful. The owners are friendly, funny and warm. My husband couldn't get over how great the towels and toilet paper were (hey, we all have our priorities). We didn't get a chance to enjoy the hot tub, but we were lulled to sleep by the creek in a large clean comfy bed. I felt like we were in a cabin in the woods. Not to mention their restaurant recommendations were spot on (and they have a big binder of all the menus at the desk so that really is very thoughtful). Plus the dog Kirby helped us with our dog withdrawal (since our pup was in a kennel back home). Definitely recommend!!! read more

We visited Red Lodge in March 2016 for a short ski trip. We chose the Red Lodge Inn because they had a suite available. My husband and I brought our two daughters and wanted a space large enough for the four of us plus ski/snowboard gear and have found that a one-room motel is too crowded. Our suite had a very nice remodeled bathroom, a separate bedroom, plus a king size bed in the living room. There was a fridge, desk, and microwave. We had brought a small camp stove to cook out in the parking lot, but found that they had a gas grill and a charcoal grill all set up for guests to use. They even provided the charcoal, lighter fluid, and utensils upon request. The owners were very friendly, the inn was clean, hot tub had extra towels and open late. In fact, it is probably the cleanest hot tub I've ever seen! The Inn is conveniently located on the main street across from Rock Creek. Even though it's right on the main drag, the rooms are quiet and I didn't notice any traffic noises. I would recommend this motel to anyone staying near Red Lodge. Great stay for a great value! read more
