Had rented a cabin. First do not take a trailer or large truck as their is no room. I had a Gal named Sunshine check me in and that was smooth. However one key really stinks! Had to gave it to the wife and then get it back. Had Bugs around the A/C window unit come into the cabin but ACE hardware took care of that problem. At Over $300.00 a night, I would got back to Billings and stay and get a modern room. Don't know how they get so many good reviews but a lot of Bikers stay their and the late noise can be a bother for you. read more

I had the pleasure of spending the night September 16th, 2021 at the Alpine Lodge in Red Lodge MT. It was just what I needed. A very clean, relaxing facility. Checking in was easy, quick, and the manager was great. As I mentioned, the room was very clean. Even better, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet. Didn't hear a noise all night. If you want to meet a curmudgeon then stop by Alpine Lodge! He meets every bit of the definition when it comes to his customer service! My family of 6 were driving through town and needed a place to stay. There was only one room available so we booked it and decided 3 would stay in room and 3 have to stay in our camper van. The man informed us where to park our larger van and that was that. As I'm trying to put my 2 children to sleep in camper he pounds on door and as soon as I open it he immediately starts yelling and threatening to have me towed. I tell him the situation about one parent upstairs with 2 kids and I'm with other 2 kids and that there were no other rooms so we had no choice. He threatens me again and as my 5 year peeks around to see what's going on he has the audacity to inform me that I better tell my children what I'm trying to do. I was an honest person about my situation and he brings my children into the situation? Not necessary! Then after I tell him he does not need to be so rude about it and could have just spoken to me kindly he THEN offers an RV spot if I want to book one with him. Seriously???? I would have booked that from the get go if I'd know it was available but everything said no vacancy-both online and on building. So, with my crying children after a hateful man full of accusations I can assure you I would NEVER give this man my business again. read more

Great little find in Red Lodge. We stayed there while on a motorcycle trip last August. Great family owned and run business. They even have a motorcycle cleaning station with soap towels and everything you need. The room was clean, neat and very nice. A free made to order breakfast is included with your stay. This is a somewhat classic motor lodge type motel. Our room was quite large with a king size bed, kitchenette, a sitting area and a good sized bathroom. Complimentary water was provided. The room was spotless. There were plenty of towels and anyone we ran into was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. It was quite the meal too - I don't eat in the morning because I just don't feel well but I did go over to have some coffee. It is served on the porch of the office building and is cooked to order. You can have eggs, waffles, bacon and more. Specialty coffees and juices were available for a small charge. The regular coffee was delicious. read more

If you are in Red Lodge Mont. And you need an amazing, one of a kind place to stay, you need to stay at the Alpine Lodge. This is the best motel hands down we have e ever stayed in, and we have strayed in quite a few. We go on the motorcycle all over the country and there is none that compares to Alpine Lodge. From the homemade breakfast that Larry gets up everyday and makes for you for no charge, to the soaps and shampoo, to the bike wash on the basketball court. Their hospitality is beyond wonderful. The rooms are clean and roomy, you just can't get any better. There is so much more, i wish we could have stayed all week, next time we will stay longer. We were a little weary when we pulled up but once we met the staff and got settled this place is amazing. So clean and great amenities. My favorite place to stay in Red Lodge. The Alpine Lodge is friendly, super clean and serves breakfast to order - when the weather is good it's outside, on a grill, you can eat at the picnic tables or take it to the beautiful green lawn of their very own "park". Right now - July 2014 - there's construction out front - but don't let that keep you away - go thru the construction to a wonderful, friendly, quiet lodge where you will be greeted with a smile. The room is large and spacious and the beds comfortable.If you're up for a game of horseshoes, just step our your door into the park area. Do NOT confuse this place with the Lupine Inn (I did that once and was soooo disappointed). Definitely telling all my friends to stay here. The owners are great. Every summer they have work-study students from Russia and Hungary - they are working to help kids understand that we can all be friends, in spite of our differences. Came in to town just for the night before riding the Beartooth Pass the next day. We found their rates were comparable, and in some cases much less than other hotels in town. Price also included a homemade breakfast in the morning; and not just juice and stale muffins-waffles, pancakes, eggs, etc all fresh made! Room was very comfortable and clean. Room included a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Bathroom fixtures appeared to be new, well kept and spotless! We were checked in by one of the owners, who was very nice! All staff we interacted with were very kind. Rider friendly...they have a bike wash area and provide clean rags. read more

A wonderful place, and super affordable! We were stopping by on our way to Yellowstone - the rooms are comfortable, clean, and decorated with the neatest local antiques. The owners are the nicest people we've met on our trip, and even cooked us DELICIOUS homemade breakfast in the morning! It's always worth it to stay at a place owned by nice locals who honestly enjoy and care about their business rather than a hotel chain (i.e., the Comfort Inn). This place is great. There are many little things you can tell have been learned from experience over the years. Many small charming amenities like game area, patios, fire-pit, bike wash, complementary rags and a personally made complementary breakfast watching the sunrise (full grill, with a fixed menu). A group of us stayed here on our way to Yellowstone via Beartooth Highway. About five months before our trip we made this reservation. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. First, Larry is an amazing host. He did everything he could think of to make our stay more perfect. From the time we made our reservation, Larry was amazing. He answered all our emails and helped us plan the perfect trip into Yellowstone. The opening of the Beartooth Highway was delayed for a few days, but Larry was so helpful in helping us find out when the highway would open. As it turns out, it opened a few hours before our journey along it. Larry turned on the fire pit in the evening after we gathered around it. He provided a perfect playlist for background music. And he cooked an amazing breakfast for all of us in the morning - from breakfast burrito to eggs and biscuits. All was perfect. In addition, the room itself was fine. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and perfect for our stay. I can't say enough good things about this lodge - it's the perfect place to stay if you are ever in this area! read more

Alpine Lodge has got to be the most positive hotel I've ever experienced. Our entire extended family stayed for about a week. Larry, Trish, Lisa, and the entire staff took care of us most attentively, down to knowing the names of each of the 10 kids staying with us. The complementary breakfast was made to order and delicious. Larry took care of building fires for us and even baked some cookies for us one night. The grounds were perfect for having that many kids around, including a basketball court, tetherball, horseshoes, and other various games. Larry and co. also kindly put up with our large family playing cards on the patio late at night. We will definitely be back and will always stay at Alpine whenever in Montana. We rode in late to Redlodge, Montana last night and called Alpine Lodge, where Larry the owner, said yes we have a room, go ahead and get a bite to eat in town and you can come back to register for your room when your done. The service was very personable, and the property was welcoming. Our room was clean and very comfortable, and affordable. This morning, Larry was outside at the grill cooking up breakfast for me and my husband. He again, was so friendly and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed meeting his mother, Grace too, an added treat.
