Also worth noting: the fishing pond is no longer there, though with that amazing river flowing by, you may not miss it. Con: It's a bit of a drive off the highway, so plan for that extra time. Overall, a beautiful spot if you're looking for a quiet river setting and don't mind paying a little more for it.

We tent camped and stayed on site T1, which had green grass--flat with no rocks or tree roots to worry about. There was plenty of shade, and we really appreciated how few mosquitoes there were. We were able to sit outside comfortably until after dark. The bathrooms were clean, with flush toilets and free hot showers. While the sites are a little close together, they still felt surprisingly spacious. Overall, a great experience--we would definitely come back!

An ice cream truck was there for several hours. My impression was that there is a rotation of different trucks each day. Check-in was easy and they have a store by the office. There's a good-sized playground too. Sites are gravel and somewhat close to each other. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The shower and bathroom are combined into individual units so there was a lot of privacy. They were very clean. Easy access to the highway.

Eventually someone let her in. There was another junky car parked nearby that also clearly didn't belong there. So I was happy to be leaving because otherwise felt like my stuff would get stolen if I didn't watch it closely as we were packing up. I had called the "after hours" number twice about the lady before she got in but was directed to leave a message each time. All that said, I felt safe until then. The bathrooms and showers were clean and also plentiful. We played the mini golf there, which was free. We walked down to the Yellowstone River, which was steps away. It was stunning with lots of cool rocks. The one-room cabin was good. A code to get in, which was nice. Air conditioner and little fridge and desk with chair. Bunk beds and also another (full size?) bed. The curtains were good at blocking out light. The little shop had coffee in the morning but like all other koa's not until 8am. We had a fire pit at our cabin. I recommend this place but watch your belongings and don't let vagrants in the bathroom.

Both are extremely loud at a constant rate all day and all night. The only reason we stayed and didn't forfeit our rental fee is we have a loud fan above our bed that drowns out most noise. If this campground was even a mile away from the interstate and the railroad, it would be one of the nicest campgrounds I've been to. But the extreme and excessive noise is a deal breaker.

I was in a tight spot and stuck in Red lodge after a 750mile ride and I was lucky enough to get the last campsite. I explained the situation I was in over the phone. Without ever meeting me or me asking for help Rebecca went into full what I like to call (stubborn mom mode) She told me "go here" and would not take no for an answer when it came to helping, and Im like "yes ma'am!" Soon after Jason showed up like a marvel superhero in a side by side . He was so genuine and nice. Their generosity and kindness protrude awesomeness of the highest caliber. That being said the campsites and facilities are dope and the restrooms are clean. 10/10 definitely coming back.

In about 2 1/2 hours for the northeast gate of Yellowstone. I had about two hours from Bighorn national recreation area. Jason had some wonderful scenic driving routes that you could take besides the Bear tooth. chief Joseph scenic byway was incredible. The only downside was our first day there was Canadian wildfire smoke. But it cleared out for the next day and we had bluebird skies. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The owner really cares about your wants and needs.

We liked having the adjoining cabins to enjoy family meals and time together. The cabins were clean with a small kitchenette complete with utensils, servingware and cookware as well as a shared bbq on the porch. Downfall was the small mini fridge since we planned to cook at the cabin and brought quite a bit of food. The resort is on the outskirts of Cooke City so more rustic than being next to the businesses and gas stations downtown. Located about a 15 minute drive from the East Entrance of Yellowstone. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

I have used KOA for sometime now and had no problems until I went to there KOA campground in Las…read moreVegas New Mexico. When I arrived at there KOA I was told that the reservation I had made through the KOA on line reservations specifying a site that had satellite openness and a pull through was not available and also told that they do not honor reservations made on line through the KOA site. I was given a back in site that was very poor. Long weeds and uneven. It is know that back in sites are cheaper than pull through sites so I requested a refund of the difference. I was only given $10 when I should have had a least $30. Being very upset about this I contacted KOA Corporation. They sent me an e-mail back saying they do nothing about problems with campground even though it is standing behind there name. Please all be aware that if you make on line reservations through KOA they do not have to be honored and they also do not care if you are cheated out of money
