It's accessible from either the north- or south-bound lanes, but when coming from the south, would require a left turn. It's a standard rest area, with parking for trucks and cars, and includes handicap accessible areas. There's a small picnic area and also a pet-walking area. I don't remember seeing any vending machines, and that makes sense at this rest stop given its seasonal availability. It's a nice area to get out and stretch or give the kids and your four-legged companions a break.

We've stayed at other Baymont locations and understand they are not 'tip-top everything is perfect'. With expectations that this is a budget hotel,, we've always had good experiences at Baymont. Upon arrival we were told the 'new' hire at reception is the new GM. The hotel has been without a GM 'for weeks'. As such, a lot has not been done here and the new GM is playing catch-up. The front desk agent was very professional and pleasant She checked us in quickly and let us know breakfast is 6am-9am. In the room at first glance everything looks as it should. King bed, four pillows, nice desk area, fridge, microwave. Each of the table lamps has a plug in it's base for charging devices, plus a charge hub is on one of thr bedside tables. A full bath with tub/shower combo. We notice there is no soap. We ask at reception and are told without a GM to place orders, supplies have dwindled and there is no soap. The GM has arranged to pick-up soap from a nearby hotel tomorrow. As seasoned travelers, we come prepared and so this does not affect us. Extra dove brand shampoos are in the bathroom to be used as soap. On closer inspection we notice the bathroom does need some cosmetic work. Rust on the light fixture. Mirror frame is peeling. Door should probably be replaced - it's seen better days. Although the fan comes on automatically when the light goes on, there is still a bit of mildew on the ceiling. The rest of the bathroom however is clean with plenty of TP and two each bath, hand and wash towels plus a bath mat. In the morning, shortly after 6am, my SO went to get me coffee and tells me as he hands me my coffee no breakfast has been set out and only hazlenut creamer is available. No worries on the creamer, we were told supplies are low so figure this is one of those supplies. Back to breakfast room just before 7am and still no breakfast and no receptionist. Hm. We chat w/other guests looking for breakfast. More join us and at 7am, the morning receptionist shows up for her shift. Seems the night auditor left at 4am. Quit. They usually have breakfast out by six, so now the morninsh shift is literally running around getting breakfast out. We went back to finish packing, loaded some things in our vehicle and came back to find most of breakfast out and the receptionist still adding and replenishing items. She really earned her pay today!! She did it all with a smile when I am sure she'd rather scream. Big thanks and well done to her! Breakfast included sausage gravy and biscuits, sausage and scrambled eggs. Waffles, bagels, muffins, toast, cold cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, yogurt, cream cheese and other sundry items. A pretty good breakfast. We spoke with other guests who mentioned their room on the 2nd floor is musty and the shower surrround damaged. There is *no elevator in this hotel as is very common in budget hotels in this area of the country. If you need a ground floor room, call the hotel before making the reservation to be sure you book the correct type of room. This hotel has potential. Maintenance is definitely over due. I hope the new GM can build a unified team and get this place back in order. Our bed was very comfortable. And I did look at the mattress. There is a mattress cover under the fitted sheet and it's a pillow-top mattress. No staining to be seen. The towels were good quality for a budget hotel. Our room was warm. Staff were all excellent. Located near a number of restaurants and a gas station/convenience store. Easy on/off highway. Good amount of parking in their private lot. Easy to find, right on Overland rd. GPS got us right there, no problem- right across the street from Outback Steakhouse.

The girl at the desk was new and very nice. Needless to say she called the manager and they refused to refund my money. This place is an absolute dump!! I would AVOID THIS PLACE!!! If you value yourself or family you won't be staying here.

Mashing as many people into the car as possible,…read morechoosing a destination (maybe?), going where the road takes them, pausing only to nap at rest areas or to get some gas station nachos? I am not one of those people. If I am getting to my destination by car, I am going to drive as far as possible in a day before stopping for a well-deserved night of sleep. Given that I am generally going from the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest, this usually means a stop in Montana. This time around, that meant Billings. I don't ask much of a hotel when I am just losing through on a road trip. I primarily want comfort, convenience, and safety. This hotel checked all three boxes. The shower was hot, the room was set to the perfect temperature, and the bed was more comfortable than my bed at home. The ground floor room allowed for rock star parking (the room has one door to the outside and one to the hall), and the hotel has easy access to the freeway and several fast food places (excellent when you are leaving early or arriving late). We loved the friendly and helpful service at check-in, and we were delighted that this hotel is reviving the lost art of the hotel breakfast. In addition to the usual cereal and bagels, they offered juice, bacon (which Mom says was tasty), eggs, and hash browns. They also had muffins and biscuits. There's also a little coffee bar with a few options for coffee and tea. This is a great place to stop if you are passing through on a business or family trip.

The fitness center is very small and minimal. It was stuffy in there when one person was working out in there when I arrived. I needed another fan and free weights would be good but I don't think there was any room for that or to stretch out. They have a running machine, a pulley type machine and a recumbant type bicycle. As other reviewers state, each bathroom is actually a hall leading to several private, full door, properly locking, big, clean bathroom. I can see this being less feasible in a higher volume airport, but here there was no line when I first debarked, nor when I returned for an AM flight out. It's wonderful. Security at 6 AM was me and maybe ten other people? And the staff I dealt with were all pleasant (again, they haven't endured the volume that I'm used to seeing at O'Hare). Rental car pickup was smooth, the lot is a minute walk away outside, and drop off was just as easy. And that view when you're pulling out of the airport into town, big wow for a Midwesterner.

It was really helpful since our aging parents needed the relief from lugging them around. I wasn't aware this was available. It also made getting on and off the plane that much easier and it seemed faster as well. I also wanted to mention that I thought the WIFI was excellent. The best from any other airline. I feel like I was able to use my phone easily including the texting feature. Very much appreciated to have one that worked so well. I would like to give a shout out to the Delta employee at the Billings July 26, 2026 airport who helped us with checking in our luggage at the main kiosk there. She was Russian with dark colored hair. She was thoughtful to ask if we needed a wheelchair for my father. He declined but it was nice to get the offer. I would like to say my only gripe for the trip was the quality of earphones. They were really hard to hear the movie. Maybe it was because I had the seats nearest the airplane wings? I appreciated them. The plane was nice and clean and so was the airports. I wished we could buy a day pass for the Delta Lounge. Overall my experience was so great so now I will want to go Delta next time I fly.
