My sister and I traveled from Wisconsin to California during the first part of June and stayed in…read moreB&B's and hotels along the way. This was by FAR the best place we stayed. It is located in the Wapiti Valley west of Cody, Wyoming before you get to Yellowstone which was our next stop. We made our reservations through a booking agency, so it was all very easy. The price was very reasonable and it was located on our route, so it was very convenient. Margo was the best hostess and her very talented husband were a pleasure to visit with. Our reservations were for one room with a Queen size bed which was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. But, since it was mid week, and we were the only ones at the B&B, we were treated to use of the whole house. There were 3 different balconies from which we could watch the wildlife. The upstairs suite is set up to accommodate large groups. I can't remember exactly how many it sleeps, but I bet at least 12 and that's not crowding anyone. Margo's Mountain Suite is very tastefully decorated and yet comfortable and homey. It wasn't over crowded with THEME decor, but rather very tastefully done with soothing colors. They have a dog, but other than when we first arrived, you would not have known he was there. The mountain views were fabulous and the wildlife did arrive at sundown as promised. The little touches were what make this a great place to stay, everything from the great coffee, the fabulous soaps to the binoculars on the balcony. This was an awesome place to stay. The breakfast was awesome (especially the coffee) and our entire visit was a delight. We felt as if we were leaving old friends when we finally did leave. While the other B&B's we stayed in were great places too, they didn't compare to Margo's. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

She went out of her way to make sure there was breakfast food for all of our tastes. The inn is clean and the beds are comfortable. The view from the balcony is beautiful. Our guide Dean was an amazing tour guide! He was so passionate and you could tell he really loved yellowstone. He had 30 years of experience and so much knowledge of the park. I would recommend this company in comparison to the other snowmobile companies in the park. Our tour felt more personal and better organized than the other groups I saw. The ride from the Cody side of things into Yellowstone is mind blowing. I'm familiar with the park, but it feels like an alien landscape and so disorienting in the winter. Park staff fire up the warming huts along the way so there are opportunities to warm up and rest a bit before the journey continues. We always see times of bison, coyote, birds, and evidence of otter this trip. The guides are friendly and make sure everyone is comfortable and confident on their sleds. It's such a special way to visit Yellowstone--bucket list this adventure.

Starting off the check in staff was not extremely friendly - she (owner?) did give me some…read moreinformation about local events going on but bickered with the man (husband maybe?) when I had asked about the free shuttle to one of the events. We pulled into our spot and the road noise was loud, we looked around and there were a lot of empty spots. I looked online and there were quite a few spots empty in the park so we called and asked if we could switch to another spot further away from the road, the lady seemed annoyed and said she would see what she had available. We told her that we looked online at available spaces to switch to and she told us none of those were available. We switched to a spot that was actually in one of the pictures on yelp and it did not look like the picture at all. Dead grass and weeds. They said they were trying to grow back grass but it was all dry, had dirt spots and the spots are so close together that there isn't really much other room to sit with chairs because they don't want a lot on the grass. The picnic tables are literally so dry and old that the wood is splintering and the paint is peeling off, they also look like they are going to fall apart. Not to mention you are literally on top of the other trailer next to you. Some care and money needs to be put into this campground to make major improvements. Spots are small and squished together and the way they have you park your vehicle is odd. We consistently smelled sewage and it was not from our trailer because when we switched campgrounds the smell was gone. Maybe they have sewage issues because we could smell it walking around the park and to throw garbage away. Also they do warn that the sprinklers run at night but it sprayed more of our trailer than the grass and left hard water spots all over the side. The mens bathroom had one toilet and one urinal for the entire park to use (I never went to the women's). Funny thing is that nobody ever did end up staying in any of the spots we asked about moving to. I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone unless desperate. It is run down and not taken care of well. I would recommend stay at the KOA down the street- we moved to stay for one night there and it was night and day difference!

The owners are amazing, genuinely warm and kind people. There was no awkwardness that there sometimes is-- I felt like we were staying at my aunt and uncle's place. I find myself actually longing for an excuse to go back to Cody (I was there on business with a colleague) so I can stay here again. The B&B itself is completely refurbished-- everything is new and clean and nice. The rooms don't have individual bathrooms, but there's a shared one down the hall that is very nice. It's not a huge place (4 rooms), so you're not competing with a lot of people for bathroom space. And best part is, you're walking distance from downtown Cody. Breakfast... let's discuss BREAKFAST. There are so many B&Bs where breakfast is a small, modest affair. Not here. Despite the fact that we had a 7:30 am flight and would be leaving for the airport at 6:30 am, Sondra INSISTED that she would be up to make us breakfast. I can't remember it all now, but it felt like there were umpteen courses.... fresh fruit, fresh waffles, baked goods, etc. All home cooked and all delicious. And then a week or so after we stayed there, they sent us each a postcard, thanking us for our stay and asking us to come back the next time we found ourselves in Cody. Which is exactly what I'm planning to do.

The room was comfortable and there was a TV mounted on the wall. Free wifi. Great place to stay when you're passing through Cody on the way to Yellowstone :)
