Husband and I stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is very clean. We got a room with a king size bed. The room was also very clean and spacious. Bed was cozy. Bathroom looked like it just got recently remodeled. Everything looked new in the bathroom. They have breakfast between 6am-10am. There was cereal, yogurt and bagels. They most likely had more but that's all I noticed passing by. It's dog friendly. Free for your fur baby to stay. They had a very big pet relief area and a little trail behind the hotel. My pup and I walked the little trail a few times, we liked it. Defiantly would stay here again if we're passing through Cody again :) read more

Our family had a mishap with our reservations 8 hours before check in, and we ended up having to stay at the Super 8. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean (I mean really clean), and the breakfast omelets were wonderful. I would totally stay here again. read more

One of reasons we selected this hotel is because they allow dogs and don't gouge guests with fees when they bring them. The location is great. We wanted to be close to the east side of Yellowstone. The room itself was a little dated and lacked high end finishes, BUT it is a Super 8 so that is expected. It is a value brand, not meant to be high end. Hotel staff was great. Very nice to deal with and check in was fast. Room was very clean. Beds were average comfort. TV was small, but who comes to Yellowstone to watch TV? Room had microwave, refrigerator, iron, coffees pot, desk, free WiFi, free breakfast. One nice surprise was the hiking trails behind the hotel that are for guests only. Nice ten minute hike with great view. We also enjoyed the Mexican restaurant next door. We only stayed one night, but I would highly recommend as a great place to crash for a night on your Yellowstone adventure. read more

I would definitely stay there again when visiting the area. CLEAN is my top priority and that was evident outside, in the lobby, hallways, guest room. Even the TV remote was cleaned and placed in a plastic bag. NO complaints from this seasoned business traveler on a vacation road trip. My complements to the staff for a clean and well run property with a friendly staff. We didn't see anything that needed repair or update. They have limited rooms with king size beds, so we got a room with two queens and it was very nice. We are Wyndham time share owners so we like to stay at Wyndham properties, this is one of the cleanest "best value" hotels we've stayed at by Wyndham. Great value, clean and friendly/pleasant staff. My husband and I stayed here for one night only, we reserved it from the Super 8 website. We did not encounter any problems with reservation, check-in, check-out, or wifi. The main lobby and breakfast area are small making the breakfast selection minimum compared to other hotels that offer it. If you are a diabetic you will have a limited selection (hard-boiled eggs). The room was spacious and it had a funky smell, we opened the window to let the fresh air in and it was all better. The bathroom was also spacious but the door didn't work very well, the door frame was broken like someone kicked in the door or something. The TV was of to the left of the bed but it was not bad you can still see it ok. The bed could be better, it was soft not firm at all, but at-least it was clean (no bedbugs). In the morning the hallway on the first floor was crowed with people coming and going and the cleaning ladies' carts. The hallway was somewhat narrow. The breakfast area was full even their outdoor tables, best to plan to get your breakfast and eat in your room or take it to go. Overall it was a place to spend the night before a camping trip in Yellowstone NP. If I had to be in the area again I would probably book this place. read more

When we arrived there was a smelly stain in the middle of the room. I alerted the night staff, and they said that they would let the cleaning crew know. I told them that I had already cleaned it up (no other rooms available). It was not cleaned the next day, and I cleaned it again (was still damp). I told the front desk again, and I was given towels to put over it. When we checked out, there was a cleaning fee on the bill for the stain. I was appalled, since I had alerted them twice to the issue. The morning breakfast was adequate, and it is very crowded to eat in the "lobby". If there were any other places with availability, stay there! read more

This may have been the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Our options were limited because we were traveling with a large dog, as were many of our fellow visitors. The room was large enough but oddly furnished, with a very uncomfortable bed and few pillows. There was a new tv and fridge but that does not make up for stained towels and bed linens. The continental breakfast consisted of bread products from Walmart; I was previously unfamiliar with butter from a squeeze bottle. The staff was rude. The walls were thin. The room reeked of smoke despite being a non-smoking room. We had to open the windows to help with the smell and circulate air, but then we had to deal with the other patrons were walking their dogs and talking loudly ("Why would people leave their windows open? It's their fault if they can hear my dog piss."). After our stay, I received an email survey and responded with very frank, honest, detailed answers. The owner/manager sent me a generic email saying that he appreciated my response and was sorry we were disappointed. And to add to the annoyances: after booking online, I cannot seem to get rid of the Super 8 corporate emails, despite several attempts to unsubscribe. Do not waste your money. read more

Stayed here one night while traveling with my boyfriend and two cats. Place was pet friendly with no pet fee. This is exactly what I expected from a Super 8 .. Not luxurious, but acceptable. The room was clean, didn't have an overwhelming smell, like I said pretty much what I expected. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a good fair price, it wasn't any more then I expect from super 8, it was clean, a safe place to close my eye, and the staff was friendly and gave help on places to see and do. I have stayed at many super 8 and they are a good chain, if I want to be spoiled I pay more at a hampton or a Shilo inn but if I want a little better than a 6 I will stay at a 8 read more

Wouldn't recommend. Last minute changes had us staying at the Super 8 Cody WY. It being the Fourth of July the Super 8 was the only hotel with a room available, also the only hotel that aloud a small dog. Never had it been explained to my wife and I that they would need to come into our room every couple of days. They would call and request we come back to let them in if our small dog was there or if we were sleeping they would call and say they have the right to come in even though we were taking the time to rest. When we checked in, this policy should have been explained and it was not. They stated I signed the document but I was under the impression is was the normal papers I sign when I check into hotels as I travel all over the country and sign papers as I check in. The communication is very unprofessional and rude. I can appreciate wanting to make sure the room is being kept up on with a dog, which ours is small and very well trained and other dogs may not be. But the way it was handled was uncalled for and really posed a challenge and inconvenience. Desk staff very unprofessional. Got a very rude call from the front desk. Not asking or even letting me know who she was. She demanded that I allow her staff in my room. If she had been professional about it I wouldn't be upset. This hotel needs to Rethink the dog policy, and the staff. read more

Listen, it's not the Four Seasons. And it's not supposed to be. It's the Super 8. It's cheap and clean and serves a little breakfast in the morning, which is saying a lot for a motel in this part of the country. Would I want to stay there for a week? No. Is it acceptable for a night or two as you head in to/out of Yellowstone or stay in town for the Buffalo Bill museum and rodeo? Yes. We even had Sturgis bikers there at the same time. I really didn't expect a lot, given that it's a Super 8, but it was nearly $200 a night for a cramped, dirty room with really old, torn comforters, and a weird smell in the room that I couldn't identify. The building is quite old and needs remodeling...desperately. The newer door locks still has old instructions for additional security (something about pushing a button on the knob with a key). Your choice of toast, frozen waffles, cereal, yogurt, or instant oatmeal was a meager offering, and the hot water smelled like coffee (I'm a tea drinker). When I mentioned it to the clerk at the desk, she got really defensive. (I still don't understand why hotels insist on running hot water through the coffee pot instead of just getting an electric kettle.) It was Sturgis and rodeo season, which may explain the price of the hotel room, but it certainly wasn't worth it. read more

I have stayed at different priced hotels around the world. But, I have never met such a caring, comforting, kind staff and owner as this Super 8 has. Last June at midnight I had an accident in Yellowstone Park.Alone, no cell service and lost, I drove a damaged car four hours until I found a hotel that was open. I arrived with no reservation during busy tourist season From the moment I stepped in the door, I was given loving attention from everyone there. The front desk gentleman let me sleep in a room reserved for staff instead of turning me away. During my 3 day stay they politely listened and helped with the rental car towing. These honest, kind people at this Super 8 are beyond Super.....Superior 8 ! My accident? Bison lost a little fur. I was shaken and concerned but no injury. Next day I did notify the Yellowstone Rangers about the incident. Because I stopped at THIS Super 8, A stressful situation became a positive one. How lucky am I ? Their nice clean rooms, breakfast and reasonable prices lead to my regaining my courage and strength to continue my journey. read more

On the day of check out the maids where knocking on our door at 8am to clean and we had not checked out. The owners there are amazing!! I went there at a bad point of my life death of my father. They were the most caring, concern ,gracious people I have come across. On top of everything else the hotel is immaculate the rest of the staff is so friendly. They made me feel like I was family. We paid $222.47 for 1 night and I honestly am beyond shocked at the price. The room looks like a 70's porn star decorated and smells like he possibly filmed scenes in it. It smells like a dive bar. I was so disappointed got in late and had to clean the bathroom from long black hair to etc. I really feel like I should inspect the bed linens & smelled like a smoking room - nothing against anyone whom smokes but when your allergic to it then it matters.
