    Yakimeshi- aka fried rice
    Maria-Elena T.

Three of us ate here for dinner on a Monday night. I have been many times before. The food is usually good but the service not so much. This meal I ordered the salmon sashimi and carpaccio chef role. I've had both before. The roll was not as good as I remember. The salmon was ok. After the salmon came out I had to ask for soy sauce. Then I had to ask for pickled ginger. Each time I seemed to wait a long time. In my experience, the ginger should come with the dish and the server usually pits the soy sauce and small bowls on the table way before the food arrives. The other two both got fried rice with shrimp beef and chicken -Yakimeshi. They seemed to Like it. For dessert we got the fig tart which was great and the mamey tart which was ok. Both came with ice cream. We also ordered the only chocolate dessert but they were out despite presenting it on a tray 10 minutes earlier.

Service is the worst, save your money. The food is mediocre at best !!! Beware of this establishment.

Food is authentic…read more We ordered * salmon bowl * plain soup noodle *associated tempura *mochi ice cream dessert Well priced, not crazy expensive I was impressed with authentic soup (for noodle). Tempura can be slightly imprived but not bad. Dessert was very good and fresh Service is attentive, kind and fast. We will come back.

A solid spot if you're looking for Japanese food. We walked in without reservation for a late lunch…read moreand found it wasn't busy. The weather was nice, so we sat in their covered patio area. You can scan the QR code to pull up the menu. It was in both Spanish and English. The menu was extensive, a little something for everyone. There was ramen, rice bowl, udon, sushi, sashimi, shabu, maki, nigiri, etc.   I tried the maguro mix don that had chu-toro, o-toro, and akami on top of white rice. This was a perfectly balanced meal. A good fatty texture on the sashimi. Rice to fish ratio was also good. It was refreshing from all the food we've been eating in CDMX. We all enjoyed our don and ramen.   Service was a bit slow regarding when our food came out but they brought out everyone's food at the same time. The restroom was clean as well. The indoor seating looks spacious. Overall, we enjoyed our meal here and would recommend this spot if you're looking for Japanese food in the Roma Norte area.

This place was directly across from our air bnb apartment. So, we passed it daily as we were coming…read moreand going. I did a bit of research and thought it looked pretty good. We decided to go for it. We took a few seats at the bar. Sort of like a sushi bar vibe which was fine. We ordered miso soup, edamame, Tonkatsu ramen, gyudon and curry udon. I also got a single piece of fatty tuna or otoro. The ramen was tasty and the noodles were a bit firm which was good as I didn't have to rush to finish them before they went soggy. The pork Chashu was very pleasantly smoky and the egg was perfect. My son had the curry udon and the curry broth was beefy and flavorful with nice chunks of beef , the noodle had good springy texture. My wife's gyudon was very good as well and we took notice that the rice was short grain and authentically Japanese. I enjoyed the zesty pickled ginger that came with it too. Very good. Edamame we're just fine as well. Unfortunately, they forgot our miso soup but didn't forget to put it on the bill. We waited ten minutes after asking for the check and another ten waiting for them to correct the bill. Too long.. I also asked for a box to go but there was a misunderstanding and they tried to bring me saké. I think the music was simply too loud so "caja" (box) sounded like "sake" with the blaring music overhead. Just a bit frustrating. Overall, really quite good but the lax service and several mistakes prevent me from giving a higher rating. Really about 3.5 stars. I'd suggest turning the music down just a bit and reading/expediting orders more carefully. And when someone requests the bill don't leave them waiting for ten+ minutes. Also, there's no menu pics at the moment on Yelp but there is an extensive menu. If you're craving ramen or Japanese food in CDMX I'd recommend this place. Thanks! Domo Arigato Gozaimasu!
