The dining experience at the bar was very fun. I did the set menu for 5 hand rolls, which are made right in front of you and served as they are completed, while the rice is still warm. This part was great. I am not so sure about the quality of the fish used, though. We all had some allergies after leaving.

I needed my sushi fix in Mexico City - Santo hand roll bar did not disappoint. It was pretty pricy for Mexico, but in line with the US pricing. I liked it a lot. Check out my pics.

Excellent ambiance, good food, fast service, and decent drinks selection. Parking is horrible so it's better to use uber and walk to the restaurant as it is located in the walk only zone.

This is some of the slowest service I've ever experienced. Food was mediocre. Do not recommend.

Ordered Uber eats. They shorted me twice .... Even in the reorder ! Portions small. Not worth it.

You can scan the QR code to pull up the menu. It was in both Spanish and English. The menu was extensive, a little something for everyone. There was ramen, rice bowl, udon, sushi, sashimi, shabu, maki, nigiri, etc.   I tried the maguro mix don that had chu-toro, o-toro, and akami on top of white rice. This was a perfectly balanced meal. A good fatty texture on the sashimi. Rice to fish ratio was also good. It was refreshing from all the food we've been eating in CDMX. We all enjoyed our don and ramen.   Service was a bit slow regarding when our food came out but they brought out everyone's food at the same time. The restroom was clean as well. The indoor seating looks spacious. Overall, we enjoyed our meal here and would recommend this spot if you're looking for Japanese food in the Roma Norte area.

The miso soup was incredible, and we also had bok choy, edamame, and a few pieces of sushi. Everything was so fresh and some of the best quality sushi I've had in a long time. The space itself is small, intimate, and so cute. You can sit right in front of where everything is being prepared and watch them slice the fish and put each dish together. Silverio was wonderful. My friend had never tried raw sushi before, and he took the time to guide us, make recommendations, and explain what we were trying. She ended up loving it! He was incredibly kind and made the whole experience feel so welcoming and personal. You can really feel the attention and care that goes into the food and the experience here. They have both an omakase menu and a regular menu with plenty of options. I absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back next time I'm in CDMX.

Gin Chan was a delight! There are many sushi restaurants in CDMX and I'm glad I chose this one. Our…read morewaitress was friendly and gave us good recommendations. We could see the sushi chefs right at the bar next to us preparing our food skillfully with long sushi knives. The restaurant had a nice open-air atmosphere just off the street so definitely a better experience if the weather is nice. We ordered salmon sashimi, 1 hamachi nigiri, a spicy tuna roll, and a hiramasa sashimi. The Hiramasa (yellowtail amberjack) was something I had never tried and they put a nice spin on it by slicing it super thin and adding some citrus and ginger to the bite. Overall, had a great dinner and would definitely come back to Gin Chan!
