    We were referred to this wonderful restaurant because they loved it so much. Decided to have my boyfriends Buttday dinner here because of the referral and that they had A5 Wagyu. From the minute we walked in, we were wow'd instantly by the decor and view of the city. Every detail of this restaurant was well thought out. Even the location of the restaurant was placed in a really nice building that included the Rolls Royce dealership. The staff was extremely knowledgeable of the menu items and were able to describe each item so well that we really wanted to order everything. Our fav items included: - Mako Taco - Fire & Ice Oysters - Brussel Sprouts - A5 Wagyu - Japanese Risotto - Tiger Prawns - Kobe Beef Carpaccio - Ni Dako Carpaccio For Dessert, they gave us a complimentary dessert but we ordered 2 additional. ALL OF THE DESSERTS WERE DELICIOUS! Highly recommend you try at least one of these: - Tobanyaki - Banana Yamato - Chocolate with gold flakes

    The food was freshly made and everything was delicious. We had a group of 13 and our food was served in a timely manner. There are plenty of restrooms and plenty of tables. The location is super clean as well as the restrooms.

    I make make trips here every time When I'm in Mexico City. Service is always friendly and food is on point! You have to try their Raman (perfect for hangover) and banana boat dessert.

    While visiting for work we stopped in Makoto. The restaurant is visually stunning. Great atmosphere with your typically house music without being over bearing. Overall the food was good. I enjoyed the spicy edamame and the dumplings. The miso cod was fantastic. It was incredibly slippery to eat with the high gloss chopsticks. Most of the dishes are covered in a glaze, sauce or some other form of seasoning. I found it too much on some of the dishes. I would skip the toro app. The mush on top of the crisp lacked flavor or depth.

    This is a great spot to eat Asian food. Everything is really fancy and everyone attends you nice. The locations and ambient are excellent. The sushi at least the one we got was average, the steak and octopus on a stick was good, the Gyoza were also very good. The Mochis desert was also very delicious, I recommend only getting matcha ice cream scoops, the other flavors are good but the matcha is too knotch! Will definitely come here again, not often but will visit again. The place is expensive but worth the experience!

    I had a birthday dinner here back in October 2019 and I've been meaning to write a review. This is excellent sushi for being in CDMX! It's definitely a pricey meal for Mexico standards but well worth it, as a comparable meal in the US would easily be worth more. I spent $60USD and had a wonderful meal. The sushi was well prepared and tasted quality (creamy, melt in your mouth, smooth texture), the gyoza was delicious, and the banana dessert I had at the end was truly good and different. They even surprised me with birthday ice cream, which was a nice touch. The service was superb and I had a great time. Highly recommend if you are looking for a break from Mexican food and want to have a quality Japanese meal.

    Excellent atmosphere, great service, definitely pricey! We had a great dinner- awesome rock shrimp tempura, ceviche, amazing waygu beef gyoza, veggie rice, innovative cocktails, and superb Tres leche dessert. Cool vibes and very relaxed with an indoor/outdoor seating option. Good for date night, family dinners or celebrations with larger groups. I wish we had this place in the Bay Area. It would do so well! Cool architecture and nice interior design.

    Great service. The food is really good I had the white fish ceviche, broccoli tempura, rock shrimp, hot stone, Japanese risotto, Robata octopus and wagyu skewer. Everything was great personal favorite the risotto. Great for a special occasion. We celebrated a birthday! I do think it is a little expensive the great quality.

Our waiter was clearly trying his best, but this restaurant desperately needs another waiter. We waited so long for sauces that by the time they arrived, we were already halfway through the rolls. It took about 20 minutes for the first dish, and we ordered what we normally order for my wife and I and our 3 teenagers six dishes for five, which then arrived one... at a... time... with long, awkward pauses in between. The specialty rolls are teenie Weenie and very skimpy on the fish. One of my sons wanted another roll but not willing to wait. Best roll of the night was the Alaska roll--credit where credit is due. Now let's talk money. I don't mind spending on good sushi. I expect to. But $3,950 pesos ($232 USD before tip) for five people and leaving less full than a typical sushi night in Los Angeles? That one hurt. Back home, we eat for the same price--and we leave satisfied. Upside: only three green teas were ordered, but they were excellent, high-quality, and probably the most consistent thing all night. Bottom line: amazing fish, painfully slow service, small portions, and a bill that made us double-check the exchange rate. If you come here, drink a full glass of water beforehand to feel satiated--or bring a snack. I wanted to give them a three but I always do with my wife wants and she said give them a four to be nice.

The reason I mention this is because I felt very rushed to eat and get out, and there was no reason to do so. I ordered 5 dishes. When I'm in a nice restaurant, I shouldn't have to ask the server to only bring one dish at a time - it should just be assumed. I ordered my selections, the server asked what order I would like the food delivered, and I told him the order in which I gave him the selections - but the tempura and sushi could be served together. The miso soup came first. Ok...not what I asked for. I requested the oysters first, but not a big deal.... Then the oysters came while I was still enjoying my soup. I wasn't concerned yet. The oysters are on ice and can sit for a minute. After I finished those 2 dishes, my elote-style baby corn was delivered. This dish was probably the biggest disappointment. The menu indeed said "baby corn", but I was imagining corn kernels done elote style...kind of like an esquite, but a high-end restaurant version. That is not at all what I got. I got little baby corn - the kind that come in a can - dressed up with elote style seasoning. This dish was $345MXN (~$17USD)!!! SERIOUSLY?! The cost on that dish has got to be an 800-1000% markup for something that shouldn't be served in a fine-dining restaurant in the first place. I took a couple of bites - and then my tempura came while I was still nibbling on the disappointing baby corn that I was simply eating at this point because I didn't want it to go to waste. I pushed it aside for my tempura entrée. I eventually let about half of the corn dish go to waste - and I hate wasting food. Nobody asked if I enjoyed the dish, or why I didn't finish it. I didn't necessarily expect them to remove it from my bill (although when I was working as a server, that's what I would've done), but it would've been nice if someone had asked for feedback on why I didn't finish it when I cleared every other plate. As I was enjoying my tempura, I noticed the sushi had not yet arrived...did they forget? The *one* dish that I said could be served with another dish is the only dish that was *not* served with something else. I finished my tempura. The sushi finally arrived, so thankfully they did not forget it. I ate my sushi, and my dishes were cleared. I was delivered the dessert menu. I said "no postres, gracias", and the server ignored what I said and walked away. I simply wanted the bill at this point, but I looked anyway to see what they had to offer. After all, I was basically being forced to do so. The server comes back, I ask for "La cuenta, por fa", and I receive it. As I'm glancing over the bill, I notice a charge for "cubierto - $16MXN" (silverware/cutlery). Ok...that was the last straw. I realize that it amounts to about $0.80USD, but that's not the point. You're nickel and diming your customers in a nice restaurant to the point that you're charging them for chopsticks??! And maybe the use of the water glass as well...but, that just about sent me over the edge. I'm already paying enough for the food that the cost of utensils should be included in the price. I have *NEVER EVER* seen a charge for something like that in my life. I paid the bill and I left 10%. That's *VERY* hard for me to do as someone who used to work in fine dining restaurants, but I had to send a message. And I realize 10% in Mexico is probably not as insulting as it is back home...but I needed to convey that everything was disappointing - especially the service. Nearly everything about my experience went wrong. I was in and out in about 45 minutes - maybe slightly longer. I'm sad to say, I will never be back - at least not to this location. And if my experience is a reflection of what I can expect at another Nobu restaurants, I won't be back to any other location either. Not worth the money to walk away disappointed.

We then had a sashimi course - akami, hotate, and striped jack all on one plate. I think I would have wanted these separate instead of all on one plate, but maybe that's just my preference. We also had wagyu shabu-shabu, which I enjoyed! Overall, it was a mix of good and decent, and I enjoyed our lunch here! Interesting take on kaiseki experience.
