This place, Fuji, screams of potential and yet somehow manages to fall just short. The space inside offers a traditional japanese atmosphere, and is quite large with multiple rooms dedicated to different styles of dining. Both the bartenders and the sushi chefs are visible to the patrons, so there is an opportunity to watch work while you dine. Additionally, a series of grills are set up for tepenyaki transforming a dinner out into a memorable event. Unfortunately, we tried a number of sushi rolls, "fried" (boiled) tofu, and gyoza, and yet none of these options was particularly memorable. I truly believe that if the management at Fuji were to spend some time updating the menu, making sure that their culinary offerings were up par with their contemporary competitors, the environment of this restaurant could really sell and draw large crowds regularly.
