Installing bird proofing to prevent them from coming back. Despite this, the pigeons were still on my roof afterward. Because my home is two-story and my spouse and I are both over 60, we are not physically capable of climbing onto the roof to check whether the work was done properly. We relied entirely on the company's honesty and professionalism. On October 29, 2025, I texted the owner, Kale, to let him know the pigeons were still present and asked if he could come by to check the bird proofing. I even offered to pay for the visit. On November 4, 2025, Kale came out, went up on the roof, and checked his work. He told me he found one area that was not secured and said he had made the necessary repairs. Afterward, he sent me an invoice for $150 covering: inspection & labor bird spikes additional bird proofing wire a minimum travel fee I refused to pay for the inspection & labor, bird spikes, and additional proofing wire because I strongly believe those materials and proper installation should have been included in the original $2,000 job. I only paid him $50 for his travel. Unfortunately, the pigeons are still there. On June 5, 2026, I hired a different company to inspect the bird proofing because the problem continued. They recorded videos of KB Ohana's bird proofing and found two unsecured gaps that were still allowing pigeons to nest under my panels. I shared those videos with Kale at his request. When presented with the video and given a chance to respond, the owner stopped communicating altogether. On June 10, 2026, I followed up with Kale asking for a response to my concerns and my request. I have not received any reply from Kale or anyone at KB Ohana since then. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend KB Ohana. I feel I paid a premium price for work that was not done thoroughly and for follow-up service and communication that were completely inadequate.
