I've been going to this particular nail salon on and off for a little over three years now. I would have given this salon two stars because the owner is actually really kind, but I just can't. Sure, she's a businesswoman and wants your money, but I'm glad she smiles and says hi. I've kept going back to this particular nail salon because I like to go with my boyfriend's mother, and she prefers to get her nails done here. I've gotten their regular pedicure done ($20), a full set (normal and pink/whites), as well as shellac/gel polish and a manicure in the past. The last time I came to this salon, which was a couple days ago, my pedicure was half-assed and my gel polish manicure was uneven. I asked the nail tech who did both, and she just blew me off. The shop owner and the nail tech were talking across the room about it and it was let go like no big deal. This was the point that decided I need to review this place online. This place could be cleaned up a bit, I do agree. I've only seen the nail techs spray the pedicure tubs and just rinse it off- no scrubbing though. I've also seen them repeatedly take the foot brush (that they use on YOUR feet), and scrub the pumice to "clean" it while the tub water drains. This was kind of disturbing to me because it wasn't truly sanitized or cleaned properly. I've never been cut here before, cuticle-wise. I know that means a lot to some people. Lastly, and probably one of the most important things to note about this salon is the nail technicians themselves. While I do walk in the door knowing there might be a slight language barrier, never once have I gone here having trouble getting across my concerns or what I want done. Also, I'm not a fan of how most nail techs that do my nails/toes here seem to talk about you right in front of your face. And sometimes they make it VERY obvious- I've even asked them what they're saying and they just laugh. Customer service is AWFUL- except for the owner, which is "Caitlin". Otherwise, they don't really seem to care that you're there, paying them for their services. I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend, and I won't be going back unless it's with my boyfriend's mom. read more

I have NO idea as to what this Jackie person is talking about! Wow, I've been going to Sunshine Nails for over 6 years now and as far as the "mint stuff" goes and the warm, moist towels (not hot), it's part of a european pedicure spa treatment. Who on earth would put their cell phone betwee their legs when water is right below you anyway? Maybe this is the person that filed the McDonalds suit for hot coffee burning her private area because she was, shall we say "not smart enough" to put next to her? The girls that work at Sunshine Nails are Vietnamese and give you a great massage as part of one's pedicure. I've been known to fall asleep because I'm so relaxed as has my daughter also fallen asleep. I have my favorite people there, but then again I've been going there for years, so I think I'm entitled. The girls speak with one another in their native tongue and laugh, but if you want to join into their conversation, simply ask them what's so funny and they'll tell you. I can't say enough about Sunshine Nails and my daughter and I will continue to go together for our pedicures and manicures for an hour of relaxing fun and chat together. read more

I have been going to Sunshine Nails ever since it opened. I go weekly for my mani and eyebrow waxing and over other week for my pedi. The owner (Kaitlyn) takes great care of making sure you are happy about the service. The nails techs are very friendly even if they don't speak the language well. They try their best to understand what you want. They always find a time to fit me in, even if they are about to close. Also, if you don't like thepolish color or something is wrong and you're not happy, Kaitlyn makes sure you are happy. She doesn't want you to be upset. She wants you to keep coming back. I've taken my mom and other relatives when they are in town and they are all happy. In the 12 years I've been going to her I have never gotten an infection, EVER!!! I highly recommend them and ask for the owner, she will make sure you are happy and taken care of. Sunshine Nails is the best. I recently moved farther away( before I was 2 minutes from them and now I am 15 minutes. I don't care to drive a but more and bit further to get the best service I received from them. It's worth it :) read more

i went to on saturday and this lady i got i can see she had an attitude. i ask her if she could do my cuticles and she told me 5 dollars which i was never charge. But when i first ask her she didn't even answer me. Rude.. rude.. then when i wash my hand to come back for the polish.. she was with an attitude saying YOU PAY NOW.. YOU PAY NOW... real loud and rude. i was going there a lot and now i will NEVER go back. they need to give these girls an attitude adjustment. i will say one of them that would do my nails .. Vivian was the one that was very nice. i also saw when i was talking to one lady as we were drying our nails to check to see if it says on the board one of the employee was listenign to my conversation... i ask the lady to please look and see if there is a charge for cuticles and it didn't so i don't know what this girl was trying to pull. i got my nails dry and didn't NOT give this girl a tip. i had issue before and left .. thought i give them another chance cause the owner is very nice and always treated me good.. but no more. read more

I have been looking and looking in St. Pete for a nail salon that could do the job just right and had no luck. Thankfully a friend referred me to Sunshine Nails on Highland. I just left there and believe me, the drive to Clearwater was well worth it. I got a pedicure from Tina and it was amazing, she did it perfectly! Caitlyn the manager did my full set of pink&white nails, she's so meticulous about them being perfect and they are! Caitlyn also did my eyebrows and did them perfect as well! My whole experience there was beyond awesome and they are my new place! Very nice and accommodating. Next time I will be bringing my friends! Great job ladies! read more

I went in for an eyebrow wax and Caitlyn did an amazing job. The wax was the perfect temperature and didn't stick and the redness after was very minimal. The best part was the perfect arch she did to shape my brow. I also asked to have the shellac removed from my nails and she gave me a great price to redo them after removing the old polish. I received an extra coat on my nails to ensure the color looked good and she made sure I was happy with the finished product. The place looked very clean and although they were busy on a week day after work, I did not have to wait at all to be attended to. I will definitely be back. read more

As a nail tech myself I am very picky about where I got. While vacationing in Clearwater with my sister and law and family we went to get a mani/pedi and there was 6 of us. Sunshine nails was very accommodating to us. The staff was so nice and pleasant. And clean for being a quick stop shop as I cal them. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our services. The salon was busy from the second we walked in to the second we left. If I'm ever in Clearwater again it will definitely be a place I would come to again read more

my apt was at 11:00AM & I got there at 11:03 and was immediately directed to a chair. I came in for a fill that had been previously done horrible at a different salon. They fixed someone else's crappy nail job and this set is by far the best one I've had yet. Listening to everything I asked for and more! I was in and out in 45 minutes! Very professional, The whole salon was full but when one chair opened, someone walked in for their apt and filled it right up so nobody ever stood around! I will for sure be coming back! read more

I have been going to this nail salon for over 2 years and it is the best one around. The menu of services offered are numerous and the people working there are very professional and courteous.
