Obviously, one of my experiences was with an MT that gave the worst massage of my life. BUT, we as a family have been visiting this spa for a very long time and still wanted to support and try again. Much to our joy, the business has opened up an extension space that offers a side by side couples massage experience and that's what we indulged in. My wife was scheduled with Amanda, and I had..... I believe her name was Rani? not sure of the spelling. Rani was attentive, QUIET, asked how pressure and comfort was, and largely just focused on the Swedish massage, instead of talking the entire time like my last visit here with a different therapist. So, for this time around, I appreciate that Rani gave a pleasant massage. Amanda is a rockstar and my wife loves getting massages with her. In fact, I get jealous because I wish I could have a massage from Amanda as well, which I could, but she can't clone herself for two side by side if we do the couples suite. This is a very cute spa and we love to support local business. I do see us returning in the future for self care treatments. My only concern is that when calling or texting to schedule for massages, I expect........ that whomever is discussed as a name within that conversation, that will be the massage therapist or therapists (couples) that are present day of. When my daughter and I walked in, we noticed a beach scene painted on the walls. We sat on the couch while the receptionist finished a transaction with another customer. After a few minutes, we were called back and shown the changing room. We were able to change and safely store our clothes and purses in lockers that only we had the key to. We were given clean robes and slippers, then directed to the relaxation room to wait for our couples "Perfect Time Out for 2" spa package in a private suite. The package includes either a 30-minute aromatherapy sauna or a 30-minute hydrotherapy bath, followed by a 60-minute combination massage. The combination massage uses both light and medium pressure and is meant to ease muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote lasting relaxation. We only sat in the relaxation room for a few moments before our massage therapists told us that our private suite was ready. When we walked in, the room was dark and lit with battery-operated candles. It smelled wonderful, and soothing music was playing. There was also a television mounted in the corner, which I didn't feel was necessary in such a relaxing environment. We began with the hydrotherapy bath. The bath normally includes almond oil, but because one of us has a mild almond allergy, they substituted bath salts and other wonderfully scented oils instead. The tub had jets that we could turn on, and it was very relaxing. After 30 minutes, our massage therapists let us know it was time to move to the tables for our 60-minute massages. We got down to our birthday suits and slipped underneath the sheets. Penny was my massage therapist, and my daughter had Remni. Penny did massage my entire body, but it felt more like she was rubbing my skin rather than working the muscles underneath. Honestly, I have had better 30-minute massages at the mall and during pedicures. However, I did appreciate the stretches and the relaxing oil rubdown.... sort of. I really wanted my muscles to be rubbed, but we never got there. My daughter, on the other hand, said her massage was amazing. Ugh--that's what I wanted! I'm glad she enjoyed herself. She said she would definitely go back. I would consider returning too, but I would want a different massage therapist next time. Throughout our visit, we were offered complimentary beverages. After our massages, we sat in the relaxation room, where I enjoyed a glass of red wine. Once I finished, we returned to the changing room. There was also a shower available if we wanted to rinse off before getting dressed. My daughter and I changed and headed to the front to take care of the bill. I was able to use a gift card given to me by someone I used to know, so thanks, buddy! Overall, the private suite and hydrotherapy bath were relaxing, the atmosphere was soothing, and my daughter absolutely loved her massage. My experience was a little more mixed, but I would still be open to returning and trying someone else. I felt like the massage part of the package was a very important part, and it unfortunately fell short, so I did let the front desk know. And please, don't forget to tip!

Had two amazing experiences recently. First attended a full moon meditation. It overall was a wonderful experience. The second experience was me and by favorite friend coming in for facials and relaxation time. We started in the lounge and after completing the questionaire were put into robes and slippers and had time in the salt room. This room was just lovely! There was aromatherapy, a tarot card pull and reading, singing/sound bowl and then we were left to simply relax and meditate together. It was hands down the best pre-service experiences we've had in any spa, and we have been to A LOT of spas. Then we both had our facials. My esti was calm, assuring, and educated. Her touch was amazing and the recommended service items were delivered perfectly. After the service apple cinnamon infused water and dark chocolate dipped pineapples were provided and we were advised we could go back into the loung and relax for as long as we wanted before leaving. My friends facial was also superb. The front desk staff was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk with. The boutique itself had nice selections for purchase. Will definately be back!

We greatly appreciate the explanation with the appointment system and the willingness to get my hubs back on the schedule for the massage he signed up for. My hubs was hesitant to come back after his last session and especially after my review (he didn't know I was writing) but Elena & Jennifer helped him feel at ease of coming back and making it extremely flexible to rebook an appointment to come back in. Hubs went back to get the much needed deep pressure massage from Jennifer at The Spa Simply Skin. Both Elena and Jennifer were present to greet him. The ambiance of the room was serene as it was before. He keeps telling me about the nice Buddha in the massage room. Jennifer asked if the headrest area was ok was comfortable this time before proceeding. This time she asked about the massage pressure and if it was firm enough. She worked on getting his knots out which was greatly needed. She used a tool on his hands up/down his forearm that he said made him feel really good. He does repetitive work with his hands (handy electrician) and this helped relieve tension. It had been years since I had my last massage. Setting up an appointment was super easy and got one the very next day. I had booked an hour long deep tissue and Amanda was my masseuse. It was incredible, she went straight to work on my tight shoulder without any word from me. Could she tell by looking at me or my posture, I don't know. I realized I was long overdue and the massage felt so effective I was able to extend to 2 hours. The business name is spot on - you really are in good hands here. Amanda is so good at what she does I was blown away. Some of it was very painful but she would often check in with me and ask if it was too much, and I think that is to be expected if you want results and you've got a lot of muscle tightness like myself.
