I was trying to find a new massage therapist and found CMT Bassil Kamas (www.bodyserenity.com) on Google, and reading other clients' excellent reviews has captivated me to schedule a massage session. He was responsive to my last minute request, and was about to take me in the next following morning. I was very impressed by how clean his massage studio was with such tranquility and ambient vibe. The massage table was so comfortable, and the spa music he had on would be the kind I'd listen to while remote working. Bassil is professional, responsive, kind, and compassionate about what he does (hoping to see his comedy shows one day, as well). I've been to so many massage places especially in the bay area/Napa/Sacramento County, however, I am pleased that I've found my new massage salon- Body Serenity Massage by Bassil and Lanette (his wifey). He knows just where my target spots are and is knowledgable! read more

It was such a relaxing and wonderful experience!! It definitely exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back again.

First time in this place and i have to say that i have had lots of massages in my life but Bassil know what he is doing. He is great at what he does . He helped me with my neck and shoulder pain . He is by far the best in helping me with my problem areas. Thank you read more

Bassil is amazing. I have been going to him for massages for years. Definitely recommend and I will keep going back!

Okay where do I start? Here we go; AMBIENCE: if you've ever had one of those $300 massages at a fancy resort/spa, this will be on par in every way with that experience. This massage room made me think I was on an upscale vacation without the upscale prices. TECHNIQUE: Bassil is not just a masseuse, but an artist. You can tell he really knows pressure points and does nice stretching all over the body. I came in with severe neck pain and left feeling so much lighter and better. DEMEANOR: Bassil is truly a nice person. He wants you to have the utmost relaxation and an enjoyable experience during your time with him. He queued in when I was holding my breath and guided me back into breathing. He is quick to tell you to let him do all the work while you just relax. PRICING: pricing is on par with other massage places but as I've said previously you are getting a resort/spa experience at the same price as the reflexology places that don't nearly do as good of a job. Make sure to check out his new client specials, check-in offers, etc. right here on yelp. I highly recommend Bassil and will be seeing him as often as possible. read more

This is hands down (no pun) one of the best couples massage we have ever had. We've been to many high end spas and resorts and the quality of massage and muscle relaxation after this experience was excellent. Professional, comfortable and clean. Leaving relaxed and limber. Highly recommend. read more

Bassil has magic hands! I came in with a strained neck/shoulder that had been bothering me for a week. A coworker told me about Bassil and how amazing his massages are so i texted him and he got me in the next day. I had a 90 min massage which was so reasonably priced and I proceeded to have the best massages of my life. The next day my neck/shoulder was ALMOST back to normal which was a huge amount of progress for just one day. I will definitely be back read more

Good morning Bassil, I wanted to reach out to say how extraordinary my massage was. You may have noticed but my body has suffered much trauma over the years and I am in daily pain. After my massage, I was able to walk a distance and go up a flight of stairs without pain I most definitely will return and share with my friends! Thank you!! Jeannette read more

I've been to many different massage places but haven't quite found the one for me. I've been searching on Yelp and found Bassil a few months ago but didn't have a chance to book until recently. I saw all the great Yelp reviews so I knew I had to give him a try. I reached out on a Wednesday evening and Bassil was able to get me in on a Friday afternoon. I just love how easy it was to make an appointment and he was very aacomondating. Let me just say, this one probably one of the best massages I've gotten. Bassil is professional and knows exactly what he's doing. I loved how he paid attention to what I wrote on the form of areas I preferred. The technique he uses is definitely different from others which was great. I walked in with body aches and head pressure and walked out feeling so much better. What also was awesome, he gave me a complimentary cd and he even customized it with my name! It shows he really cares about his customers! His prices are very reasonable especially for someone that is a professional and knows exactly what he's doing! He's gained a returning customer. I highly recommend you to check him out!! read more

Bassil Kamas - CD with my name :) - Massage Near Me - Fair Oaks, California

One of the best massages I've had. I enjoy going for a massage but the price is often hard to swallow. I felt like Bassil had strong knowledge of muscle groups and strategies for helping strained muscles. I will be referring him and making more regular appointments. read more

I received Bassil's name from a fellow CrossFit member. I called Bassil to set an appointment which was so easy. Bassil is responsive and very accommodating. Bassil got me in quickly which I appreciated. Bassil is truly a kind person, very professional and knowledgeable. I had an amazing 90 minute massage. My massage was a mixture of relaxation, sport and deep tissue......the best massage I've ever had and I'm definitely going back. I've had massages before and have to say I am now a loyal customer. The environment and ambience is inviting and relaxing. Bassil was very aware of when I was holding my breath and queued me when to take deep breaths in order to relax through the massage. Bassil is a true professional in his art of massage. I have finally found my masseuse. Thank you Bassil! read more

The absolute BEST deep tissue/sports massage I've ever had! And I've had many massages! I train in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, so my body gets beat up a lot. Bassil is professional and really knows what he is doing! Hands down the best sports massage! Highly recommend to all athletes. read more

So happy I have found Bassil!!! After several people recommended him I finally booked an appointment. I'm so glad I did! I've spent years searching for someone to replace my old massage therapist to no avail. Nobody has even come close. Until NOW!! Bassil is uniquely talented with excellent attention to detail. His technique is customized and catered to your actual needs/requests! He even found areas needing attention that I didn't even mention such as in the hips! He does additional stretches and will even utilize essential oils if you want for further relaxation and effect. Usually when getting massages the therapist rarely follows the suggestions of areas of concern. Bassil absolutely listens and will focus on areas you need work on! He utilized hip and shoulder stretches that tremendously helped open up my tight shoulders and lower back. I have been dreaming of going back to him ever since my last massage! His room is relaxing, professional looking and immaculately clean. I loved the music he played. The bed was warm and sheets soft and comfortable. The room was quiet without exterior noise! He was involved enough, asking questions and explaining things perfectly. Yet he didn't talk your ear off like some people! This allowed for perfect relaxation the entire time. I honestly could have spent two hours in his massage. Ive already referred numerous people to him!!! I'm secretly hoping someone gets me a gift certificate for a massage with Bassil for every holiday/occasion! Thank you again Bassil for your kind and therapeutic touch and spirit. Your passion and dedication for what you do is a gift and truly evident in your work. Thank you!!! I will be back. Desiree read more

It was a week before I would be leaving for my 2wk trip to Italy, & boy what a STRESSFUL week it was! Dealing with flights, packing & preparing for our first European trip had completely taken over my world and had made me more tense than I'd ever been. I knew I needed some pre-relaxing before such a vacation, so I contacted "my masseuse guy" to see if he had any availability in the next 2 days (yes, I was taking a chance by booking last minute). He knows I prefer a late-in-the-day appointment, & he responded quickly, as he typically does. TG he had something for me!!! My awesome hubby & MIL know how much I adore these me-time-moments & have gifted me both 60 & 90min massages. Since I hardly ever have time to book myself any pampering appointments, I typically hold on to my gift certificates. I've actually been known to hold on to them for over a year, which was the case in this instance. I let Bassil know I would be using my 90min certificate my hubby had gifted me for Xmas in 2017!!! I also still had a 60min my MIL had given me this year for my Bday. Last year was the first time she gifted one to me & I remember using it for a 90min, paying Bassil for the difference. 60min is good, but Mama NEEDS her a 90min!!! I just have too many knots in my neck & shoulder area that even a 90min doesn't get them all out. But it sure does help. Perhaps if I didn't wait so long between massages, those knots wouldn't get so out of hand? Oh well, like I said, I find it hard to schedule any me-time stuff. So his normal pricing for a 90min is $100. Think that's pricey? Believe me, it's WELL worth it! Located inside the Perceptions Aesthetic Spa building, Bassil is always ready & waiting upon my arrival. His voice & demeanor is always so calming, perfect preparation for the coming service! He walks me straight to the room, where everything is ready to go for me, and before leaving for a few moments to allow me to get ready, he asks what areas I'd like him to concentrate on....always the neck & shoulders!! In the clean room, you'll find a massage table with bedding/warm sheets, a comfy couch for placing personal items on, along with a rack on the wall above it for coats/purses which also contains hairbands if needed. A desk/table has a candle or two, along with a dish to place jewelry on and a nice glass of complimentary water. The room has a soft, warm glow to it, with lovely meditative music playing in the background.....ahhhh, a sigh of relief escapes me. I typically strip down to my chonis, bra off, to give him the best access to these super knotted-up shoulders. I know some people/women may feel uneasy about this, but I've NEVER felt that way with Bassil, as he's totally respectful & folds the bedding sheets over me in a way that never exposes me! Rest assured ladies, he will do no wrong. When I'm basically undressed, I quickly get on the massage table under the sheet (which feels warm like flannel) faced down. I put my face in the massage pillow & begin my deep breathing to prepare my body to relax. A few minutes later, Bassil will knock at the door to make sure I'm ready for my service. At this point, I don't see anything but his feet walking around the table. He'll then use oils/lotions on me to begin the massage and ask how much pressure to use. Since I know all the work that needs to be done on my shoulders, I typically tell him a medium pressure is good.....no light-weight willy-nilly hands on me, no sir! I made the mistake in the past to tell him hard pressure & THAT was a bit much for me. Lesson learned. But he always reminds me that I can tell him at any point whether to do more or less pressure. I've come to him enough to know, medium pressure is PERFECT for me! That's when the magic begins. Seriously, I tell him he's the man with magic hands! He totally knows where my knots are & works on them, big time! Sometimes it hurts, but no pain no gain. Just gotta breathe thru it cuz I need those knots out!!! Also, breathing is VERY important to the process! It not only helps get thru those rough massage moments, but it helps with relaxing the muscles. Something I learned the very first time I came to Bassil. Even though he concentrates on the problem areas, he still doesn't neglect the whole body. He does the arms, hands & fingers, head/skull, legs, feet & toes, even the buttocks people!!! Yes, even those musskles need some attention & I didn't even know it till he massaged them! Partway through, he has me flip over to face up, all while still keeping the sheet over me. He maneuvers the leg pillow under my knees and continues the full body massage. Once he's done, he thanks me then quietly leaves the room. Every time this point comes around, I always think, "Has it already been 90 minutes?" It seems like it goes by so fast! But every time I'm SO thankful & feel a sense of relief....soooo much better. Come give Bassil a try, he's got 5 stars for a reason people!!! read more

Bassil Kamas - 03.12.19 - Massage Near Me - Fair Oaks, California

I'm not one to get a regular massage but Bassil absolutely has me completely hooked! I'm excited to come back for my next appointment. I know most women are on the fence when it comes to getting a massage from the opposite sex, but he is extremely professional and friendly. I came in with soreness from a snowboarding injury and he was extremely thorough, also kept checking in with me during the massage to make sure that I was okay with the pressure. Even put more focus on the spots that I was having problems with. Left feeling completely brand new! Did I mention he is very affordable? I'm absolutely going to have my boyfriend book an appointment with him soon as well. Maybe going to come in next time for a couples massage. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Now I understand why he has so many high ratings! 20 out of 10, would absolutely recommend. If you haven't booked with him, what are you waiting for? read more

Great relaxing massage with Bassil. The room was semi dark with a nice comfortable relaxing massage table and soothing music with Rasa one of my favorite artist. Bassil listened well to my request and the pressure was perfect. My right shoulder and neck have been acting up so this exactly what the Doctor ordered. I wish it could of been longer.... one hour is just not enough time for me to totally unwind and get in that deep meditate state.. I would definitely return in the future. I feel good, balanced, relaxed and rejuvenated. Also, my massage room was very quiet only the sound of waves and music which is a great plus. read more

Best massage I've had in such a LONG time and I try new places all the time! The room is comfy, cozy with the perfect music and just an amazing vibe. The massage was literally the perfect amount of relaxation and muscle tension relief. I needed one so bad and finally got one that was worth every single dollar and I will be going back. Also, I think this may be my first review ever, so that should tell you something Thank you so much! read more

Bassil Kamas is still working his magic and still going strong - now with a couples massage option! I recently came in with my wife and did a couples massage, which is one of the newer features he offers. Bassil partners with another excellent massage therapist for an eye-rolling experience in a very upscale and professional atmosphere. I've always said that Bassil is the best you can get for your money, but when you double that with another top notch therapist, you and your partner are in for a real treat. If you are a man who ever had any qualms about getting a massage from another man, you'll throw those prejudices out the door as soon as Bassil starts working his magic. He's got the strength to go deep tissue when you really need it. read more

Had a great massage from Bassil. He was very in tune with what my body needed. Before going in my neck was hurting really bad and I couldn't turn it all the way to the left. Bassil was assertive and checked in with me on the pressure and it was always perfect. He listened to me of the areas I said were bothering me and gave everything the attention it needed. I really appreciate that he listened to me, many times before I would get massages and I would let the masseuse know what area was bothering me and they would acknowledge but it seemed I would always get their pre-canned massage. In one session he helped to improve the range of motion in my neck and did amazing on my shoulders. I will definitely be returning, he is fantastic at what he does. The room was really nice too and the massage table was comfortable. read more

I was having some shoulder pain and had a 45 minute massage with Bassil. My wife had a massage with him and recommended I see him. His business is in a nice business area, on Madison, in safe area with easy free parking. The spa he is in is beautiful. His massage room smells great, is calming, clean with peaceful music and has nice feel. He worked hard throughout the treatment, was focused, thorough, tailored the treatment to my symptoms, and most importantly I felt less pain afterwards which has lasted since then, a great relief. I will see him again and would recommend him to friends and family. Dan Fair Oaks, CA read more

I was recently feeling tense and tight in my trigger areas and knew that I needed a deep massage to relax me and work out those areas so that I could feel better and move more freely. My head and neck were experiencing a lack of ability to rotate left as far as usual. My regular massage partner has been MIA for the past few months and my back up individual had an injury and cancelled last minute. Thus, I searched the YELP universe to see about a local person who I might try based on the raves of locals. I contacted Bassil and was pleasantly surprised of his calming demeanor and excellent customer service when scheduling the service. I booked a 90-minute massage. I arrived at the site and he was patiently waiting for me near the door. I quickly filled out the required form and was taken back to the treatment room. The room was dimly lit and the colors/texture/layers of the space were very warm and comforting. He provided instructions and left the room. I noticed when I crawled onto the table that the table itself was very cushiony and the linens were incredibly soft. I felt as though I was lying in a soft fluffy cloud. It was very, very relaxing. The music playing was at a nice volume and was nature sounds. Then the massage started. I was surprised, being a veteran of massages to be surprised. The most important aspect of bodywork, in my opinion, is intent. And the intent felt on the receiving side of the treatment was a blessing for relaxation and wellbeing. I felt this through the entire service. There were also great techniques utilized and some strokes that I have never seem before but that felt great. He spent a lot of time focused on the areas where I hold stress and was able to "unwind" the knots and free up the muscles. He spoke just a little, which I enjoy. Just checked in regarding pressure. Overall, the atmosphere, the communication, and the massage itself were all 5 stars. At the end of the service he provided me a complimentary copy of the music that was playing and wished me well. I went home and hydrated, soaked and rested. I woke up the next morning and felt my body adjust and it was looser, and I had a great range of motion in my neck again. I was sore, but in the expected way after a deep massage. I felt great for days after. This was a memorable service and it's no wonder why he has such a large fan base and high ratings. He was perfectly professional, personable, and a great therapist. read more

I have been in search of a place like this, I personally love massages that focus on areas that are created to my needs. You are given a questionnaire that allows you to describe areas of focus as well as likes and dislikes from previous massages, which I really appreciated since you know your body best. The massage was everything I needed, Bassil is by far the best I had ever experienced. I told him I had pain in my lower back, shoulders and he helped relieve a lot of buildup tension AND provided some stretches I could do to help those tense muscles. So I am no massage connoisseur, but let me tell you this man is amazing! I do have massages frequently but they are very short in length and more on the fix my issue type regime. I walked in and the office is clean and cute not too far from sunrise. Ladies are all super cute and friendly at the front desk. You fill out some paperwork and then he will call you in the back. The room is like an oasis of some sort! It's super relaxing and has a nice theme to it. It's very dark and there's a nice glass of water in a wine glass waiting for you! He lets you get undressed and then comes back in! It's really interesting because he has like a dual approach and I'm not used to it and I LOVED IT. He does a relaxing massage at the same time as working out the kinks. I didn't even think that's possible, but it is. Usually it's like one or the other, but he was both!! I chose the medium to form pressure because my upper back is my stress point and I wanted him to relieve me and I felt so much better walking out than walking in.. The best thing about him is he isn't a talker, like at all. All he asks u about is the pressure periodically but doesn't make conversation when you're trying to relax, because let's be honest, it's pretty annoying when they're constantly speaking and you're just trying to relax! Anyways, I was very happy and will definitely return!! read more

A massage from Bassil is nothing short of amazing. Call me crazy, but for a moment it felt as if there were four hands massaging me That's how innovative his technique is! I've always indulged in an occasional massage here and there as a treat, but you, legitimately NEED one by Bassil. I told him I had issues with my lower back not realizing how much tension there was in my head and neck. By the time he was done with my neck I was able to breathe better. Not sure how my nasal passages are directly related to my neck but it was astonishing, nonetheless. My back also feels amazing. Bassil, you da man. I've broken my Yelp hiatus to finally write up a much-deserved review for the Man-With-The-Healing-Hands, aka Bassil Kamas. Located within Perceptions Image off Kenneth Ave, Bassil has over a decade of experience working tired muscles and making you feel like a million dollars. Hands down (no pun intended), Bassil delivers one of the best massages that I've had in Sacramento. Not only that, but he is a sincerely decent guy.
