I arrived on time for my appointment, but unfortunately had to wait about 6 minutes for the massage room to be prepared, even though I had scheduled in advance. I booked a 90-minute massage (60 minutes full body + 30 minutes feet), but the service did not match what was advertised. The therapist spent most of the session focusing on my back, barely worked on my legs, and didn't touch my head at all, which is disappointing for a "full body" massage. The foot massage was mediocre at best and did not feel like an additional 30-minute specialty service. By the time I was fully dressed, it was 3:27, so the session clearly did not last the full 90 minutes I paid for. I always get my massage in a chiropractor clinic because I know they are clean and will have a professional therapist. This place is so close to my work so I always wanted to give it a try. Here are what come to my mind everytime I passes by to any regular massage place. Are they clean? Does the bedding have weird smell? Are the therapist safe and know what they are doing? The answer is yes, they are clean, no smell, and the the therapist who worked on me hit every spot I needed to be worked on without having me telling her. Pros: Clean, great therapist, no yapping through out the session, they don't answer phone calls during my session (which I hate the most), she put a towel over my hair so that I will not walk out the door with greasy hair. The place is clean and relaxing, and they do a brilliant job overall. I liked seeing this as it makes me feel assured that the tip is going to the massage therapist directly. Went there for the first time and could not have been more disappointed. I got a 90 minute full body massage. The first 30 minutes was on top of the sheets super light supposedly to warm up which was way too long. I kept telling her I wanted her to do deep pressure it was supposed to be a deep tissue massage. It definitely was not deep tissue just harder pushing than normal. She didn't even touch my feet which is a huge part of any massage. I posted a negative one star review about my feedback and was contacted by the owner asking me to consider removing my one star review. In exchange he would give me a gift certificate for a 60 minute massage which is kind of crap since I paid for a 90 minute massage that I didn't like. But I agreed and picked up a gift certificate. I have since misplaced a gift certificate and reached out to the business to see if they would buy chance replace it and cancel the first one. But they did not respond. No surprise. Unfortunately I had a horrible experience here. My wife bought couples massage for Father's day. Her experience was nice & in line with many positive reviews. Mine was very painful as the masseuse kept crossing over my spine with her movements. Despite explaining during the massage & ending the session early, my outcome was major back spasms that ruined the rest of the day, had me on the floor for almost a week & landed me in chiropractic care for a few months. My wife called & they only offered me a free massage to come back & try again. I did not want to do that, so I asked for a refund or if they'd give the free massage to my wife who does massages more often that I do. The woman at the front desk deferred to the owner, the owner deferred to the front desk and the end result was no refund, no free massage & months of chiropractic bills that I'm now exploring filing a claim against this place. I've had many massages, never had an experience like this where they just kept redirecting responsibility saying how my lack of experience getting massages was the reason for the spasms. The worst and most painful massage that I have ever had in my life. Let me preface that I do not believe that the massage therapist, Linda, was intentionally trying to hurt me. Language may have been a barrier, too, however, she seemed nice. Yet, my idea of deep tissue and hers were not in alignment. It had been 6 months since my last massage from my now retired masseuse, so I knew that my muscles were tight. But I huffed and puffed as if I were at the gym for the first 30nminutes. It was painful. I requested less pressure, finally and then it was little to no pressure. The muscles are like onions, to be peeled layer by layer and she went to layer 5 before moving through one to four. I felt her digging into my spine versus my muscles. The oil was just lathered on, with a slip and slide motion. I reduced my time from 90 to 60 minutes because it was just horrible. Then the draping was unprofessional...my buttocks are usually covered and not exposed and the massage stays above my panty line for glutes. The only pleasurable part was the warm wash cloth to wipe off the oil. I have had routine massages over the years,, but this is the worst one I have ever had. I felt guilty for reducing my time and left a $20 tip, but I knew that I would never return. My back has been sore all day and I hope that there is no injury to it. I had a very pleasant experience. This past weekend, I had a very intense obstacle course race in Tahoe which left me sore, tight, and in pain. Today, I decided last second that I could benefit from a massage (I haven't had one in over 1.5 years since COVID). I called right when they opened and they were able to get me in 30 min later! Parking was easy since they share a large lot with other businesses. I was quickly greeted upon walking in and escorted to a clean room with one table. All the employees wore masks everything was very clean. After preparing and getting onto the table, my massage therapist walked in and was ready to go. She asked what pressure I would like and checked in twice during the rest of the massage which was perfect. I requested firm to deep pressure and my massage therapist did just that. She helped work out the kinks in my neck and shoulders which is where most of my pain was and then followed with the rest of the body. My massage therapist was fantastic, thorough, and professional. Worse massage I have ever got in my life. First of all, the lady name Keri had no idea what she was doing. Kept rubbing oil on me than leaving the room to get " hot towels" which by the time she got beck it was cold. I told her not to touch my low back due to a injury. Did she?! Nope! She sat on the bed and pressed her elbows on me the entire time. So ridiculous. I told her I was there for my upper back. She pretty much did what she wanted and didn't hear anything I told her. I felt like she was just trying to kill time. I lost my shit when she had me turn over and she didn't even know how to work the sheets and had my V all exposed . On top of this ridiculous rub down with oil and wiping off the entire time, slowly wiping down with a towel to kill more time. She kept burping in my face!!!!! Omg so unprofessional. I would really like to see where she got her training from. I honestly don't think she had any! I couldn't even let her finish her rub down, I had to stop her and walk out. My husband had a similar experience, where the lady kept leaving his massage to go answer the phone lol. This is what I get for going to a place like this. It was amazing. I used to go and always was very good. But today, I went because I pinched a nerve and I was having a lot of pain and limited mobility. A guy gave me a massage and press really hard certain points and I am lot better. I really feel it made a great difference. The guy was nice, gentle... but be aware, he is strong.
