Called and made an appointment for 1 hour deep tissue for $100. When I get there they tell me they only have time for a 30 minute deep tissue massage. Sign says $100 for 1 hour deep tissue. $80 for 30 minute deep tissue. I feel like I got pressured into paying the $80 for 30 when I made the appointment for 1 hour. Masseuse left 3 times during the massage and didn't take that time into consideration when the 30 minutes ended. read more

I called in advance. They said they can see me. Was there on time. The lady directed me to the assigned room. After I changed and waited for 15 minutes, another woman came and said "sorry, we are busy, you have to go". This is the most embarrassing and frustrating experience I ever had. My husband and I went here for a couples massage. All in all it was great. The place is clean and very comfortable. The reasons I didn't give a full 5 stars are: we paid for an hour and only got 45 minutes of massage. Partly due to them waiting so long to come into the room as well as leaving the room for about 4 minutes just so we could turn over from our stomachs to backs. My husband's massage was pretty light pressure. Not exactly what he was wanting. Also the massage therapist was wearing a bracelet which apparently scratched up his back. The communication could have been a little bit better but it wasn't a big deal. We really liked this place overall and plan to go again. read more

I came in here over the weekend. I purchased a Groupon for a package that included a body scrub, seaweed wrap, and facial. I've learned not to buy Groupons so hastily that I don't check Yelp/reviews, but how bad could this be, right? I got to my appointment a little early. The weather was ugly, I'd never been there before, and I hate being late. Right when I got there, I checked my phone. I got a voicemail from the spa asking if I could reschedule for the next day...o_O I don't think I would've had a problem with it if say, they had called earlier in the day. You know, before I braved the weather and last-minute Christmas shopper traffic. Whatever. I'd driven all the way there, I was going inside. Luckily, when I got there, I was told my lady was on her way. I had a bit of time to look around the place. Very nice, tucked inside a quiet office building. It wasn't too hard to find but the signs did help. I was offered a beverage, so I opted for tea. It was SCORCHING. I could really only take one sip. A little bit before 2pm, some lady handed me a clipboard with some forms to fill out about medical information, some waiver, etc. She did not introduce herself, didn't really say anything. Just gave me the clipboard and a pen, while her and the girl at the front desk prepared the spa treatments (I'm assuming). Every treatment was done in the same room. At some other places, you'll do one here, they take you to another room. Nope, just one room. I started with the body scrub. Let me just say that disposable undergarments are awkward. I've used the panties before, but a disposable bra was news to me. I just prayed I put it on right and hopped on the bed. The lady (cannot for the life of me remember her name) didn't explain what type of scrub she was using, the ingredients, or any of that. But hey, I love a good scrub down, and this treatment was my favorite. I laid there and hoped none of my disposable underoos shifted while she was applying the scrub. She commented on how tiny my hands and feet were. "Precious," is what she said. I had to laugh. I told her it's a pain shoe shopping. Conversation wasn't too much, but she was very casual and pleasant. Nice lady. After the scrub was wiped off, she applied this seaweed stuff. I'd never had a seaweed wrap, so I didn't know what to expect. Honestly, I imagined giant seaweed paper. But this stuff was more gel-like, I'm assuming made from seaweed/kelp. Again, she didn't explain. I would've liked to know what kinds of products the spa uses, if it's organic or not, and the ingredients. I've had one other wrap before, but it involved a giant tent over my body and lots of steam. With this seaweed wrap, I was wrapped in a couple layers of plastic and a giant heating blanket. I was afraid the plastic sticking to my skin and wrapped tightly around my feel would make me feel panicky and claustrophobic, but suprisingly I was good. A little itchy but shifting in my cocoon helped. The temperature wasn't overbearing either. I thought I would start sweating or something but it was nice and toasty. I guessed she was going to do my facial while I was wrapped up, and I was right. I was already half asleep when she started and I'm sure I lost consciousness for a minute or two. I just hope I didn't snore in her face. For some reason, the most relaxation I feel is during some kind of spa treatment. I'll even dare to say I'm more relaxed getting a facial than I am getting a massage. Weird right? I get some dang good massages though, so it's a toss-up. Since I was fading in and out, I can't really tell you what was all put on my face. But there was definitely a steam machine going. And she used some kind of handheld machine with a brush on my face. The facial wasn't bad but I've had better. I have a lot of sunspots/freckles and they are usually diminished after a facial but this one didn't quite do the trick. But my face is pretty soft. After the facial, I was unwrapped and put a robe on to go rinse off the rest of the seaweed. I should've brought my clothes to the shower with me since the only robe I got had that goo on it. After the shower I tried to wipe off as much of that stuff from the inside of my robe, wrapped a towel around myself, put the robe back on and sneaked back to the treatment room to grab my clothes. Not a lot of guidance or instructions here. Which was fine for me since I've done the whole spa thing a lot, but for someone's first time, they might be like, "Ok where the f do I go now?" I headed to the front, showed my Groupon, and left a tip. This place is more like a 2.5 or almost 3. It's not a bad spa. It was very quiet, even for being on Sunrise Blvd. Very nice and clean. The spa treatments weren't horrible either, though I've had better facials. I didn't look at all the other packages but it looked like they have a lot of good deals going on. I was in Sacramento because my husband was at a conference. I looked through the book at the crowne plaza and enigma spa had an advertisement and so I look them up online. The pricing was very reasonable compared to what I am used to in the Bay Area. I booked the treatment called "the perfect you". I have been to many high end spas and I have not had a massage as good as this in a long time. It was 3 treatments for $120 and each one was done impeccably. Some of the therapists here can be extremely rude. I particularly had a poor experience with Natasha (Natalie) and Angelica. I didn't see that Natasha was preoccupied, I thought she was just sitting down and I approached HER very politely and said, "Excuse me ma'am", to ask for a business card. I was met with extreme hostility and rudeness as she yelled, "I'm busy!!".... Whoa. Oook... On second thought, I'm glad I didn't get that business card as she isn't someone I would want to do business with. To make matters worse, her co-worker Angelica tried to justify Natasha's actions, as if her response to me was appropriate.... I've been going here for years and never experienced this kind of treatment. I won't be going back to see either of these two ladies and I would also encourage you to avoid them. EDIT: Went back and was met with more rudeness by another therapist (Kristina).... I have no idea why 'some' of the therapists here are so rude and so disrespectful towards people, but I don't feel comfortable going here. Please understand, there ARE therapists here who are very professional and kind, but the ones who aren't may completely ruin your experience if you're not prepared for their unprofessionalism. The therapist I was planning on seeing wasn't there so I asked if there was anyone else available. Kristina who was lounging on the couch was available but felt the need to tell me, "I don't play games and if you want a massage you can stay for one".... Ughhh, what?... I've never even seen this woman before. First of all I read a lot of the reviews before going and I'm more disappointed in these ratings and comments. Any massage place you don't tell you what's in their stuff you just kinda have to trust them and or bring your own stuff like I do. Another thing the guy who said he got pimples is ridiculous, if you got pimples it's because you don't know after a massage and before a massage you need to take a shower. And for the lady who complained about the language barrier almost every massage place has therapists who don't speak fluent English. These ladies get certified in their country or here and they open a massage place or become a therapist. If you don't like that they don't speak fluent English perhaps massage places aren't for you or just ask them when you call for an appointment for someone who speaks clear English. These ladies and the men who do this work really hard to provide us comfort and all of them have different techniques if you don't like one then try someone else next time till you find the person that does it best then request them by name. I frequently get a massage here and only 1-2 girls weren't the greatest. It's a hit and miss till you find that person who gets those spots you need and or want. Some of you need to research massage stuff before replying and complaining. Some of the rest of you need to learn if you don't speak up then it's your own damn fault. read more

Was looking forward to a relaxing massage,it was the worst massage, the ver young girl did not know anything about giving a good massage,I doubt really doubt if she was certified. She kept asking me in broken english too hard too soft, would massage me in places over and over again in the same place I had to keep reminder her her touch was way to soft,it was like she was stroking me,and Tickled me at the same time. lights were semi bright and not dimmed. I never once felt relaxed. I resent paying someone for a very amateur job. I go as far to say she was the owners daughter. A rip off at best! Save your time and money,what a scam read more

My husband bought me a one hour massage and body scrub here. The massage was great and relaxing I really enjoyed. The lady was quiet so it was really relaxing. The only downside was there was so much noise going outside the room so each time it would distract you. Other than that the massage was great!
