Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing massage experiences I've had…read more I booked two separate massages because I specifically wanted to experience the back-walking technique myself, and I also wanted the person I brought with me to be able to experience it. When we arrived, we were placed in the same room, so that was already my first disappointment -- and unfortunately, the experience just continued downhill from there. Throughout the massage, the therapists were frequently whispering and laughing with each other. Whatever they were discussing, it made it very difficult to relax and enjoy the experience. Both massage therapists also repeatedly left the room during our massages, leaving us alone on the tables. This was very disruptive and made the experience feel anything but relaxing. The massage itself felt like someone was simply running their hands over my body rather than actually working on my muscles. I didn't feel any of the usual benefits of a massage -- no real pressure, muscle work, tension relief, or feeling of being worked out afterward. It honestly felt like someone was just running their hands over me. We also did not receive the hot stones that were supposed to be included in the service we booked. I paid for a combo massage that included a foot massage as well, but the foot massage lasted only about five minutes at the very end, which felt more like an afterthought than a meaningful part of the service. By the time I left, I was extremely disappointed. I paid for an experience I was genuinely looking forward to, and unfortunately I didn't feel like I received what I paid for. I hope the business takes this feedback seriously because there is definitely room for improvement.

First thing I noticed was that the prices were higher than what I paid previously and higher than the photos. I paid $60 for an hour. Tina was the person that took me to the room and did the massage. There appeared to be another lady working. I probed Tina's license and certification status, and those met my expectations. Tina also told me that there was an ownership change about a year ago, she told me that how they had to thoroughly clean the mold-infested place and changed the linens/towels. I asked for a strong/firm massage, that was precisely what I got. The music appeared to be repeating itself, but that was not why I was there. I truly enjoyed the massage. Tina had face mask on all the time, so I am not sure if I'd recognize her the next time I come here. Overall, I got what I paid for, a great massage, and my back/shoulder fine tuned. The ambient is definitely not great as a 5-star hotel. Will repeat.

After I shared this with her, my wife let me know this is going to be her go-to place for massages and other treatments, not just because of the results, but she went on and on about how relaxed she felt in the location and with Suzanne in particular. We've tried every one of the latest magic salves advertised but none actually delivered. THANK YOU SUZANNE!

My response was, improved circulation, decrease in overall tension in my back and lower body muscles since I workout and weight life 4-5 days a week. I explained to her that I felt crooked, and while I know she's not a chiropractor - I believed that once the knots were released I'd feel normal again. What I'm trying to say is, is that I really feel that Sue took the time to hear and understand my concerns and from there she worked her magic! The last time I felt this good after a massage was when I received the BEST massage in Thailand. Not even 5 minutes into my massage with Sue, I was breathing heaaaaaavy, not because it hurt in a bad way - but b/c it hurt SO good! Sue was able to find every single knot that was causing major tension in my back. I truly felt a major release once my massage was complete ... I can't wait to see her again for my next session! This place is the only massage place I've gone to in my life and probably the only one I will. I…read morenever had much desire to spend $1 an hour to feel good for a few days... a week? But I had a shoulder problem that would just not go away. Had it most of my life and it usually clears up in a few weeks but this time it was going on 6 weeks and I could not lift my arm above my ear; I had to do something. I checked out a couple places in the area... one looked like a MASH unit inside. One big room with 6 to 8 beds all next to each other. I walked right out. Next place (Soo's Spa) was just flat out rude... because of the layout of the first place I asked if I could take a look at the rooms / tables. She flat our refused. Said I could not even walk past the cast iron door until I paid. I left again. Folsom massage was probably going to be my last shot before I just gave up. Glad I checked out one more place because Folsom Massage turned out to be perfect. First off it was only $40 for a full hour. Most places for that price you can only get a foot massage or chair massage. It has individual rooms with a nice calming atmosphere. My masseuse was great. So much so that I've never seen any of the other masseurs there. So unfortunately I can't speak about the others. Lastly just let me say, about the two negative reviews I see here... a 3 star and a 1 star. One already said the massage was good. The other had nothing negative to say about the massage. However they said things like "Skeptical" and "not sure". In other words they got good massages for a good price and we're offered nothing inappropriate but they still had to complain. Some people really should not use Yelp. They don't realize they can actually damage a small business with their irresponsible reviews.

It had been years since I had my last massage. Setting up an appointment was super easy and got one the very next day. I had booked an hour long deep tissue and Amanda was my masseuse. It was incredible, she went straight to work on my tight shoulder without any word from me. Could she tell by looking at me or my posture, I don't know. I realized I was long overdue and the massage felt so effective I was able to extend to 2 hours. The business name is spot on - you really are in good hands here. Amanda is so good at what she does I was blown away. Some of it was very painful but she would often check in with me and ask if it was too much, and I think that is to be expected if you want results and you've got a lot of muscle tightness like myself. I can definitely recommend her for deep tissue massage and I will definitely be going back for a follow up in the near future!
