I hadn't been here yet, but I decided to give them a try because they are literally right around the corner from where I live. A great massage. The gentleman that did my massage, 100% excellent. He obviously knew what he was looking for, because he was working my muscles so well. My muscles were a bit tight, and he loosened them right up. It felt like it was even popping my muscles a little bit, which was just an amazing feeling. He worked me from top to bottom, from the back to the front. He used just the right amount of pressure also. I don't like my massages too hard, but he had just the right level. When I went in, I told him I had a bit of a headache, and he basically made my headache go away I also got the hot stones, which I absolutely love. They are so relaxing. I will definitely be back. A one hour massage, and an absolutely excellent one at that, it was only 60 bucks plus tip, and that included the hot stones. The other nice thing I like, is that they are open until 10 PM. So if I want a late night massage, I can get one. These people have a new regular customer. Thank you! read more

I had another wonderful massage with Rocky at Happy Day Spa in Rancho Cordova. This was my second visit with him, and once again I was very impressed. Rocky is knowledgeable, intuitive, and clearly very experienced. He seemed to know exactly which areas needed extra attention and provided an excellent massage. I highly recommend Rocky and will definitely be returning and requesting him again! read more

I called and got in immediately. Cari did my massage and it was amazing! I had knots on my knots and she worked them all out. She used her hands and not just her elbows and I left there feeling at least 10 years younger and I'm about to be 52. Best birthday gift I could have given myself. Will 100% be going back and I have a membership to a different massage place!!!!!! read more

I actually go here all time but the last time the receptionist was rude after I purchased a hour massage $90, and tipped $20 as well she said this tip is very low it caught me off guard because who are you to tell me what to tip for the service . Not going back . read more

Horrible service, the therapist asked us for 40% tip. I gave her 20% and she asked for more, I told her I don't have change and I was caught off guard by her saying it's not enough tip. RIDICULOUS! read more

I schedule with Mike every time! I found this place on a whim and decided to get a massage. I hadn't found a place before this that helped with my aches, but Mike does the job! He helped with the knots in my neck, shoulder, and shoulder blades. He also adjusts accordingly, and he's super patient. If you check-in, you get a $5 discount. I always suggest tipping the masseuse in cash and directly. I like to know where my money goes. I'll be back! read more

The actual massage was amazing. Cindy did such a great job!! The only reason I give it 4 stars is because after a while, the circle where your face goes starts to hurt at the forehead. However, she did give me a round face pillow to help once I said something. The walls in the rooms also don't go up to the ceiling, so you can hear the next room. But I will definitely go back to see Cindy again! read more

Don't patronize this business. I purchased a package of their Body Spa Tickets for full body massages that clearly state they are good at all 3 of their locations. Their location is one of 3 Happy Day spas listed. I went to the Sunrise location and they said they don't honor the tickets I had--same address, same phone number and same business name that's on the front of my tickets. They charged appropriately $45 a ticket, so I'm out about $90 as I have 2 tickets left from a package of tickets I purchased. They print tickets from time to time in different colors. How profitable in must be for them to say they no longer honor them when they change the paper they are printed on. read more

Zero stars. Prepaid tickets are no longer accepted despite the ticket saying Does Not Expire. Regretted buying because I have 10 tickets that I have not used because of COVID and it is now useless. I am never going back to this place ever. Avoid at all costs - they are not an honest business. read more

I was sooooo overdue for a massage because of this Covid mess. Today I happened to call and they were open!!! I was so happy. Best massage ever, the gentleman who massaged me must have felt all the knots and tension because he worked it all out! At times it almost hurt but I know it was necessary all the kinks are gone and I feel fabulous! I can't say enough about this location it was clean and they were friendly and provide a very reasonably priced massage $30 for the hour and he even helped me stretch after and cracked my back. Tip your therapists they are really working hard. I am so glad they are open again, I hope it stays that way!! I will be back soon to get myself back to normal I was starting to get stiff and neck pain and numbness coming back due to lack of massages. read more

I need recovery from workouts and Happy Day Spa helps me to feel better when I am sore.

This place is awesome. I've come twice in the last week. The foot reflexology is the best thing ever. I type and am on my feet a ton for work and it's the perfect blend of a foot massage and body. Devin was awesome, very attentive to my sore areas and checked in with me a lot. Really appreciate this place. They also have tickets deals to lesson the overall cost if you come often. read more

I had a full body massage from YoYo and my wife had a massage from Lucy. They were the best massages we have ever had. I would say we have tried over 10 different locations and I can tell you it was like they knew exactly where our tention was. I highly recommend this location and specifically Lucy and YoYo. The Receptionist claimed I could use the check in discount that was advertised on here and proceeded to still run my credit card for the full amount. When I asked her about the discount that she just approved, she told me it wasn't good anymore. Mind you this was only 30 seconds after she looked at it and approved it. The lady at the desk was very pushy and rude. read more

Will unfortunately not be coming back. I get massages about every three months at various spas, and this place was one of the worst massages I have ever received. I had Devin. I asked for a medium massage. At first it was perfect, but as time went on, Devin was giving a very hard massage. I asked him to go lighter. He apologized, and then went lighter for a little bit. He then went back to very firm again. I asked him four times to go lighter. Each time he apologized, did it lighter for a little bit and went back to firm. He also was so rough, that my whole body was shaking. It was so bad, that the hot stones slid off my back. That has never happened at any other spa I've been to. I tipped him for his time but never going back. read more

I recommend Happy Day Spa.... YoYo is a wonderful massager..She has wonderful hands and good technique!

My mom and I got a massage here, because I was visiting her. She had the passes, so we each got a 90 min full body massage. The massage was ok, my lady was alright, bit too much pressure, but she adjusted. My mom had an old guy named 'Tony'. He didn't do too good, but my mom thought it was ok. After the massage, we came out and usually they give us a bill/slip, but 'Tony' would not give it to us, instead he asked for a tip. We gave $5 for each masseuse. He looked at us and said 'too little', said that people usually give $20 and that we were CHEAP... LOL. For this place, NO ONE would give $20 unless they're paying over $100 for a massage, which fyi they aren't. The passes my mom got were $25.. even if we have money we're not stupid. My mom told the receptionist, who I felt VERY sorry for, about the guy. We asked to speak to the manager/owner, who the receptionist tried to call. Do you know where he was? He was outside CLEANING HIS CAR. I'm 100% positive you can find someplace better than this. The previous reviews which gave 1stars are correct. Don't come here, you deserve better. read more

The massage is not worth the price. For $50 for an hour, I would expect to at least feel a little bit more relaxed. IMO it's better to pay an extra $30+ and go to a real massage place with CMT's. The massage here was not relaxing, the lady moved her fingers super fast and with minimal pressure. I've had real massages before and never has anyone moved their hands so fast. It is NOT relaxing or soothing to be massages like this. Also, don't be fooled by the Yelp check in deal. They will NOT give you $5 off. They say it's from the "old owner." If they won't honor it, they need to have it removed. Bottom line, the massages are not worth the price and the people doing them are not trained well in my experience here. Maybe my masseuse wasn't up to par but I'm afraid to waste more money going back and giving another person a try. read more

I really would like to give a better review, but yea this place ain't that great. Or at least my experience wasn't that great. I got the 60 minute swedish oil massage. First of all there is nothing swedish about it nor is any oil involved. The lubricant is definitely lotion. They are very pushy for you to up grade which is annoying. And it was very difficult to understand them. My masseuse did not speak any English, nor did she understand English very well. So it was difficult to convey to hear the places and the amount of pressure I wanted. I will not be back. read more

They were so kind and professional over the phone. Got my friend and I in the same day for 90 minute foot/body reflexology massages. The parlor was clean, modern and comfy. Our masseuses were very sweet and knew exactly what we wanted as far as knots and sore spots go. They used the perfect amount of lotion, some places over use. Tony was my guy and he did amazing. I asked for deep and he delivered. I've been getting professional massages for 9 years. This place is a nice spot for a quick, relaxing basic massage. Basic as in simple, gets the job done and nothing special. Not saying it didn't feel amazing and didn't get out all my knots because it did! I'll try a full body next time. read more

So not recommend. Massage was okay and therapist was friendly. You pay before you go in but, you are REQUIRED to tip according to the owner. Although, I intended to tip, the owner stated is mandatory to rip a minimum of $10. When asked if he had this requirement in writing, he stated no. I asked whether he knew his Fairweather was illegal, he stated yes. Which is why he can't write it down. His words. At the end of your massage your given a black folded to give to the cashier (owner) who will tell you its required. This form of prescribe is illegal and serious customers geek coming to business with illegal practices. The owner laughed when I started, you CAN'T force people to tip your employees. Tops ate based on services provided, it was obvious tips were not going to the employees as you CANNOT give the tip to the employees directly. First and last time coming to this location. read more

Massage Review- Happy Day Spa. Address says Gold River or Rancho Cordova. I have gotten hundreds of massages in my life and this was by far one of the WORST I have ever had. I had an Asian male, Kevin. From the beginning, he was hacking and coughing, sniffling and grunting. He sniffled the ENTIRE massage and was just grunting, hacking and coughing away. It was so disgusting and gross I could not believe he would put others in danger of getting sick! Plus the noises he was making sounded disgusting. I couldn't even relax it was so gross. I told him he should have stayed home from work! He was also EXTREMELY abrasive and rough. I told him, "Gentle." "Be careful. "Not so hard." It didn't matter. He kept punishing my back. He spent 45 minutes rubbing JUST my back. I told him several times that that was enough on my back and could he rub my arms- nope- he just kept furiously rubbing my back. He left the room 4 times. Two were because he was coughing so much and needed water and two were because he went to get the hot towels. He rubbed my back so harshly with the hot towels- like he was washing a filthy car or something trying to get the dirt off. I told him- "Careful- I AM a person." "Not so rough." He spent 10 minutes on my legs and feet. 4 minutes on each leg and 40 seconds on my left foot and 45 seconds on my right foot- yes I counted. Then he went and got the hot towels to rub my legs down. He rubbed them down just as viciously as my back. Then it was finally over. That was it. He didn't turn me over. He didn't rub the front of me, he didn't rub my neck, or my head or my arms or my hands or the front of my legs. Just a grueling 45 minutes on my back that I couldn't wait to be over and then the 13 minutes on legs and feet. It SUCKED! There was NOTHING relaxing about it! All I could think about was that he was spreading his germs all over, coughing into his hands and then spreading his germs on me and that he was into some kind of sadistic torture of females! When I got dressed I told the lady at the front that it was one of the WORST massages I had ever had. She said, "Oh, you didn't like his technique?" Technique? You mean getting furiously rubbed down like someone scrubbing floors? Then I told her that I didn't appreciate that he was extremely sick and put me in danger of picking up his germs and that he shouldn't even be there or near other people! I told her he coughed and hacked, sniffled and grunted the entire time. She looked surprised. I told her I would not be back. I would highly advise you to go somewhere else! If you absolutely must go here then you better ask for a woman! As for me, Hell No! I felt worse AFTER the massage then I did before and I almost threw up! I'll tell you what- I certainly did not have a "Happy Day" there. read more

Really horrible experience as first time, we even called before we came, told us they are available, drove 15 mins to be here. After we arrived then told us they can't do it anymore. Without any call back notice. We will never come back again. Do not recommend it at all. Waste of time. read more

They won't honor gift cards "tickets" with their name and address on them. I would recommend not buying a discounted "bundle" you may get left hanging. So I went today and had a lady named Saya. She was so good!! She actually seemed like interested in massaging, which is rare at one of these locations I assume, lol. She was firm with her pressure which i actually like, but also went over it more gently after the initial hard push. I actually really enjoyed it and will go back to that location, but probably specifically request her because i don't want anyone from the horror stories below!!! Overall, I would try it out and see what you think!! read more

I should have walked out sooner. When I got there, I was taken to a room with two massage beds. One of the "masseuses" was sleeping in the second bed. I asked for 45 min back 45 min foot. Terrible, I was literally slapped around a bunch, and there was absolutely no kneading or technique at all. I'm pretty bummed and now the next day not only are all my knots there but I'm bruised and sore :/ I hear the other locations are good, maybe I'll try them out. read more

I am an athlete and need recovery massages a few days a week. I have had any massages from many different people, but Yoyo is by far the very best best size therapist that I have ever had. Terrible place...my girlfriend and I fancy ourselves "reflexology" connoisseurs and this might be the worst we've been to.
