Food was okay, just expensive. Not as good as a Denny's or McAlester's, but just okay. Waitress from South Africa was very good and courteous. read more

Great food and amazing service. Kevin was so much fun. Thanks for a great, quick breakfast! Pro tip - snag a cinnamon roll to go!

This is a great cafe that takes pride in their food and service. Both the food and service were exceptional. I ordered the pancake combo with eggs and sausage. The pancakes were very good. Didn't have that floury taste that most do. Not to dense. I cannot remember eating a better pancakes than these. My wife ordered The Dillon, she got her eggs poached, w/ham and avocado on top of an english muffin with hash browns on the side. She loved the breakfast and the poached eggs were cooked perfect. They usually put cheese sauce on top, but she got that on the side. Our waitress, Ustyna, was outstanding. She made sure our coffee and water was filled and answered all our questions about the menu. Everyone was very friendly at the cafe. I highly recommend this cafe and I understand all the great reviews. Dillon has a gem in their city. read more

The food is fantastic. Our server was incredible. I'm giving this four stars instead of five stars because of our host. He came across very rude and was dismissive of us. We just wanted to get a place to sit away from the door because my father and mother are a little older. We would have waited, but he acted like there were no other solutions. When you are tired, traveling and hungry it's nice to find a place where people are just friendly. For the most part they were, but this host just didn't fit in. Otherwise excellent experience! read more

This is a great brunch spot! The food is delicious and the menu has everything you could possibly want, without being overwhelming! I really enjoyed the Sunshine Omelette- the shrimp was tasty! The French was yummy as well. Not to mention, the service was very friendly and accommodating (although I found that to be the norm in Summit County!) Definitely a top choice- we came here twice in one week! read more

Mike, Mike, Mike! Where are you? Quality at Sunshine Cafe is taking a dive, and some staff don't seem to care anymore. My wife got rotten avocado on her breakfast sandwich. She ordered the Skier's Breakfast sandwich - but Kevin the server decided that she ordered the Snowboarders sandwich. And chef decided to give her rotten avocado. Showed it to Kevin - and he said "yeah, we have an issue with our avocado supplier". Showed it to Mike's (owner) wife - and she said same thing. They both were aware of rotten avocado issue. WHY SERVE THEM IF THEY ARE BAD? Very disappointed in the quality. What else is rotten that we CAN'T see - that they are serving? Sent EMAIL to them via Sunshine Cafe website "Contact" form - but no response. Nobody cares anymore! Looks like we lost our favorite breakfast/Brunch spot. Back to the Log Cabin & Arapahoe Cafe & Pub (Dillon). read more

Stopped by this place as we were in town and it clearly does good business. We were there on a weekday and got seated quickly (no wait); however, the place was busy. Service was great. Food came quick. Price is reasonable. Please was clean. Food is above average. I personally think this is a place you go to for a straight forward/simple breakfast (eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, French toast, etc). Others in my group got a variety of simple breakfast items and loved them. I got the breakfast burrito and was not impressed. The tortilla was soggy and just seemed super store bought. The chili on top was weird and not great. Not much bacon in the breakfast burrito. Two tiny slices of avocado (not enough). I've had way better. Would have been a 5 star except for the breakfast burrito. read more

The food was amazing!! Our server was very friendly and did an excellent job keeping our coffee hot and making sure we didn't need anything extra. I'll be going again for sure!! read more

Wow! We stopped at this place for breakfast before Breck. Unknowingly, we found a gem of a spot. The restaurant is a typical breakfast, brunch, and lunch places that closes in the early afternoon. It was a busy morning, but we were able to be seated in a short while. Our server, Amber, was super fun and friendly. She was also very good at recommending specials. I had the country fried steak and a bowl of the pork green chile - both were amazingly tasty. I would recommend stopping by here for some food and hospitality! read more

I had not been to the sunshine cafe in many years. Since I was last here, they expanded the dining room and took over the space next door. The food is still excellent and price reasonable considering it is located in the mountains. They specialize in breakfast and lunch. With Covid 19 restrictions being followed only two parties are allowed at the counter. I had the BLT with an iced tea and it was excellent with lots of bacon and delicious bread. I splurged and had the French fries. They came out hot, perfectly cooked and not greasy. The lunch cost just a little under $15 before tip. A steal considering the quality of the food and the resort location. They have been voted the best in summit County for years. read more

While there wasn't anything egregious here, I honestly don't understand all of the accolades. Ambiance gets an A. It's a sunny optimistic snd clean establishment. Service is an A. The food? Just average in my thinking. Orange juice was above average but probably not fresh squeezed. Pancake syrup was below par, log cabin adhesive, definitely not real maple. The French toast lacked the powdered sugar they described in the menu. But it was ok, but nothing to rave about. Bacon was fine. They had to RE cook mine as it wasn't extra crispy. The eggs were over cooked, dry and kind of rubbery. Pricing is about right. I would describe my experience as that of an ordinary breakfast diner with average food. read more

I thought I'd be able to drop by on a Saturday morning just after opening and have the place largely to myself. Color me surprised when I found out that just 8 minutes after 7 in the morning not only is every table full but there is a line almost out the door. That's gotta say something about the popularity, no? Hey, it was worth the wait. I'm definitely happy with the quality (and quantity- this thing was a beast!) of my Blue River Special and I plan to come back at least once more before my skication is over. read more

Just came here to say I ate the best cinnamon roll of my life at Sunshine Cafe today. I was on the fence between grandmas bread pudding or the cinnamon roll at brunch. Our waitress suggested the cinnamon roll if I wanted something "gooey and delicious" and boy it did not disappoint. Highly highly recommend giving it a try! Our server offered to bring it as an "appetizer" before our food came out which I also recommend doing! read more

If you're looking a place right after you've got done circling down the mountain to stuff your face and not feel bad about the price, make your way here! As you can see in the pics, their omelets are bigger than your face, with incredible biscuits on the side and great coffee. The avocados were so fresh, which surprised me a bit for a mountain town restaurant in Colorado. Everything was prepared excellently too except I would have preferred the omelet with a little more butter and the potatoes a little crispier. Only spent about $15 though so can't really beat that. Definitely a special place!! read more

Although I haven't dined in at Sunshine Café, I did order 95 hand held breakfast burritos for a post wedding brunch. I ordered on line, and picked them up. Wow. They make a darn good omelet. I had one with cheese and onions, wifey had hers with ham and other green things. Both were loaded. Waitress - from Bulgaria - is a doll. She's fast and friendly. They didn't have any coffee creamer. I cried a little because I had to use milk. Definitely will go back when around the area. read more

Food tasted like it came from a box and didn't have much flavor. In addition the hostess and waitstaff were not very friendly.

We always stop in before heading up to Copper for our ski resort and charging our Tesla. This time it sucked and we took our kids too! We told them how wonderful and cozy this place was and how great the food was last time (2019-20) but when we came , fall of 21, the staff was slow. Food was ok and going down hill. Will not come back again. Looking for a new pit stop. read more

Omg such good bennys. Hash browns are perfect crispy not soggy and service was soooo fast. Got country benny and irish benny

Great breakfast food! good service. A bit of a wait, but it's worth it. I got the biscuits and gravy.

The service at Sunshine Cafe was really great. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food and coffees came out quickly. The food however was average. I got the Snowboarders Breakfast (even though I'm a skier lol) the sandwich seemed a little "watery" , maybe from the giant slice of tomato did it. The eggs were bland. The hash browns were average. My boyfriend got the enchiladas and said the chicken one was pretty dry. The aesthetic of this place is cute. I was taken back by the waitresses who were all wearing short skirts on a 5 degree day. This was the exact kind of place that I was looking for. Somewhere I could still get breakfast after sleeping in. The menu had plenty of selections. The service was slow and inattentive. The eggs benedict were tasty, though there was way too much hollandaise sauce (and that's hard to do as I like my sauce). The hash browns were cold. read more

After eating half of it, I found a whole cockroach antennas and legs included in my breakfast burrito.

Sadly, with each new owner the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. I've been eating breakfast there for 40 years and this was the first time I was served burnt hash browns, with no apology or offer to re-cook on the part of the server. I know portion control is important but when you have to ask if a main ingredient is present, management has gone too far in trying to squeeze the maximum profit from each meal. And the new prices are outrageous, I'd expect to pay this much in Aspen but not in Silverthorne. Avoid unless you enjoy small portions and have money to burn like they burn their food. read more

Ustyna - server Tenley - owner First brunch spot on our trip to Dillon, CO and it did not disappoint. Food and service were fantastic. The owner, Tenley, was so kind and accommodating to our group. She was kind enough to hold our table while the rest of the group caught up. She also found us a great table with lots of room and quiet. Our server, Ustyna, was incredibly friendly and attentive. In addition to the great service, the food was outstanding. We ordered the huevos rancheros, chicken fried steak, breakfast burrito, and the Blue River Special. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. It is obvious Tenley prioritizes customer service and goes out of her way to ensure guests have a great experience from start to finish. We were so grateful for her kindness and hospitality she showed our group. I would recommend this brunch spot to anyone staying near Dillon. read more

Sunshine Café - Salmón Benedict. Super delicious!! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Silverthorne, Colorado

Been to this restaurant twice. First time I ordered the corned beef Benedict. The hash browns came undercooked and the corned beef was soft. The service was decent though and I'm sure I left a 20%+ tip as I have worked many years in the industry. The second time I went in, I thought I'd try something else so I ordered the steak and eggs. I also asked for the hash browns to be crispy. What I received was deep fried shredded potatoes. I couldn't tell if this was sarcasm or just lack of understanding of how to cook hash browns. Who actually orders food like that? Ridiculous. So for a diner, I'm pretty disappointed as good hash browns are hard to get. Then, the server tells me she's giving me my tab. No inquiry as to how everything was, because I'm pretty sure she knew, and the total was default set to 25% tip! For what? If I'm paying almost $40 for breakfast, you'd hope they get it right. I left 20% strictly as a virtue signal. I won't be going back for a few months at least, to give their kitchen time to learn how to cook hash browns. read more

Good diner food. Staff was friendly. Restaurant was clean and organized especially for how busy it was,

Absolutely awesome breakfast! Probably the best breakfast burrito I've ever had, def get the local burrito with green pork chili. Also highly recommend the grilled blueberry muffin, super fresh and delicious! The service is fantastic as well, very nice and attentive. If I could I'd be giving this place 0 stars! I hope you have a better experience than we did if you choose to try and eat here! We asked to sit outside and was told there would be a wait which was fine but after a while we noticed a man get up and go sit at another table with someone else leaving his computer and other stuff at the table. After some time we decided to go ask the hostess if by chance that man was done, hoping to get that table. The hostess along with this older woman both told us that that was their MANAGER and that they were not moving him or any other customers which we didn't ask them to but I guess it's more important for the MANAGERS stuff to take up a table instead of letting paying customers sit there! Real nice guys! Both the hostess and the older woman were snarky and rude to us which is the main reason for my bad review! We WON'T COME BACK because of how we were talked to! I cant believe how this place is being managed unbelievable!!! Below you can see a picture of the patio with the MANAGERS stuff just sitting there. He's sitting 2 tables down behind the guy with the green shirt. read more
