The gentleman that filled my propane was friendly as we're the ladies behind the counter. To make it even more convenient, they radio the whole process to each other so by the time I was at the counter to pay, she already had my sale rung up. A well oiled machine. I have completed similar warranty exchanges at other Harbor Freight locations several times in the past, and the process has always been quick, simple, and hassle-free. The moment I placed my old tool and replacement tool on the counter, Don immediately became confrontational and argumentative. He repeatedly insisted that I needed a receipt to exchange a lifetime warranty tool and began questioning me in a disrespectful manner. He asked things like, "How do I know you didn't buy this at a flea market?" and commented that the tools looked like I had "found them laying around in the rain." These remarks were completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and insulting. At no point should a customer seeking a legitimate warranty exchange be spoken to in such a derogatory manner. Instead of providing customer service, Don treated me like I was attempting to do something dishonest and proceeded to interrogate me with a series of unnecessary questions. What made the experience even worse was that another employee appeared to have to guide him through the transaction because he seemed unsure of the warranty process himself. Throughout the interaction, he appeared angry, confrontational, and unwilling to help. He also repeatedly attempted to sign me up for an Inside Track Club membership despite me clearly telling him multiple times that I was not interested. This entire experience was completely unacceptable. Harbor Freight should expect far better from employees representing the company. Because of this interaction, I will not be returning to this location and will take my business elsewhere.

With that being said Crowder Bros offers more than most. We have been able to purchase specialty plumbing supplies there as well as fishing gear and even Benjamin Moore Paint. Although I would be really specific over at the paint department because no matter which paint I ask for I always end up with a much more expensive version of what I asked for. The staff is very helpful and there is great variety, from tools to fishing gear it's all here! So happy to have this hardware store close by. It seems we always are in needs of something from here!
