We had a vision for a beautiful "outdoor room" and for better, more usable yard space and outdoor entertaining space. After meeting with at least 4 or 5 contractors, we decided to go with mathew with Sunset Sky because the price was competitive and we appreciated that the cost was "more inclusive"; for example, with other contractors we would have had to deal with additional contractors for electrical, irrigation and grass replacement. But Sunset Skys quote included all these aspects. The best news is that we are so satisfied with the final result. The pavers are beautiful. I should have started this review by stating that I am super picky and was home overseeing every step of the process. (I know I probably was a pest, but Mathew and his guys were great.) If I didn't like the way something was coming out, I told Mathew (who is the owner of the company and he was on site almost everyday to check in with me, plus he always returned my calls and texts promptly), who quickly took whatever action was necessary to make me happy. I appreciated his flexibility, because sometimes things just need to be adjusted as you go along on a project like this one. Mathew and his foreman were very helpful in helping with the color selection and design elements. (I love the addition of walls, "step lights" and pillar lights.) Today there are a few final details being finished (irrigation related), but we were just so excited with the final project that we decided to post this review. I highly recommend Sunset Sky Landscape!! read more

I would highly recommend using Sunset Sky Landscape for your landscaping projects. Owner Mat was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Our project included the installation of a large section of artificial turf, replacing all irrigation lines and landscape lighting in our back yard and all around the perimeter of our house, and removing and replacing large areas of decorative gravel. Mat met with me initially to work on and determine the details of the design and scope of work. He offered great ideas and was even flexible to making modifications as the project proceeded. His crew worked diligently and were quite pleasant. At completion, as with most projects, we had a punch list of minor items to address. Mat and his crew took care of those immediately. If you are looking for a landscape contractor who is experienced, knowledgable, diligent, affordable, and stands behind the work, look no further than Mat and his team at Sunset Sky Landscape. read more

04/04/2023 Tucson/Marana AZ Matt arrived on time for his appointment to provide an estimate for; yard cleanup, weed control (removal of weeds & spraying a pre-emergent to prevent future growth), tree/shrub trimming, etc. Matt's quote was more than reasonable. When I inquired as to when the service could begin, his response was, "How about this afternoon?" (A huge help and relief for me!) Within three hours, two hard working gentlemen arrived, and completed a job that would've taken me days, in about two and a half hours! The yard looks great! Everyone I encountered from Sunset Sky Landscape were friendly, professional, and extremely task-oriented! I would (will!) definitely recommend Sunset Sky Landscaping to anyone who mentions a need for any/all services they have need of! Thank you to the entire Sunset Sky Landscaping team! read more

I would highly recommend Sunset Sky Landscaping. Matt and his crew were exceptional throughout the entire process. It is amazing to see such great customer service in a world where there are a lot of contractors that are difficult to track down and work with. From the moment I contacted Matt until the work was done, he was always easy to get a hold of, explained everything along the way and worked with us to find the perfect landscape design within our budget. The crew was extremely thorough and professional and left everything better than they found it. We are so excited to finally have a yard that we can be proud of and it wouldn't be possible without the great team at Sunset Sky Landscaping. read more

After getting many quotes and talking to other companies to work on my backyard, I decided to go with sunset Sky . Matthew was very personable and understanding and had many ideas to fix the issues we were dealing with. We replaced all of the grass, along with getting an underground drain and dry pits. His crew came on time and got started quickly. It was originally quoted to take a week, but within two days most of the work was done. Matthew made more suggestions for our side yard and we installed DG for a dog run and he also planted a couple of trees and our backyard looks great! Everything was done on time with no issues. Would highly recommend them. Fantastic contractors to work with read more

When we decided to landscape the rear yard of our new home, we followed the advice of a neighbor in talking with Mathew (among others). From the start we could see his commitment to customers (as our friend had told us). His suggestions made sense and echoed our stated desire. We trusted his advice on plant choice and layout and ALL was to our liking. His crew showed up early and worked hard, putting in a full day and more every day that they were here. There was never any doubt that we were getting our money's worth. Communication was always good and we are two happy clients. I wouldn't hesitate to refer him for any job, large or small! read more

Recently we intended to re-do out entire back yard. We received a quote from a local nursery, which was outrageous to say the least. We called Sunset Sky to get quotes for irrigation, and felt Matthew's price was reasonable. We decided have him bid the entire project, and again he came in with a fair price. We decided to go with it. We felt we got quality work at a fair price. Matt was a good communicator and kept us informed at each phase of the project. We highly recommend Sunset Sky Landscaping to anyone in the Tucson/Vail area. Sincerely, John and Nancy S. read more

Matt and his team did a fantastic job turning our yard to a beautiful backyard oasis. It is a family run business and they were a pleasure to work with. They were always on time and very responsive. The pavers they ordered for our job ended up being a special order Matt kept us updated through the whole process and answered all of our questions. The job was completed on time and we could not be more satisfied with the crew of hard working men Matt has on his team. If we could give more then 5 stars we would. Thanks Matt! read more

Matthew's team really blew us away. We have had a couple of errors with other contractors that did some work on our new home so we knew how important it was to go with a company that was reputable. In Tucson, I've learned that when you want top results you have to pay top dollar. That's what you get with Sunset Sky.. Top results. They built us a beautiful patio/pergola and grill station that we look forward to using for the unforeseeable future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

We had such a good experience working with Sunset Sky. They took our backyard from being a barren wasteland of dirt to being a beautiful place where we enjoy spending time. The price was very reasonable and we feel like we got our money's worth. It's been a few months since the work was completed and we had some issues with our existing drip system. We called Matt and he came out to help us with the drop system the next day. Definitely give Sunset Sky a try! read more

Mat and his crew are exceptional! I was very leary of landscapers after a bad experience. Mat is a man of his word. He's knowledgeable, creative and personable. What a breath of fresh air when society's work ethic has gone downhill! The crew is polite and hard-working and I'm delighted with the pavers, turf and selected plants. I'll definitely be using Sunset Sky Landscape again. Thanks Mat! Melissa F. read more
