I had the same experience as many other reviewers. Came out and did initial job and payment was promptly paid in full. Afterwards, I discovered an issue that was not completed correctly per the original job and payment. Was essentially ghosted after that point. I had to hire another outfit (additional expense) to complete the work that Cardinal had been paid to complete. I live in Marana and it's very difficult to get any service person to respond. George responded immediately and came out the next day (a Saturday) to give me an estimate. He (and his crew) were out here early Monday morning and got the job done. I needed a large tree trimmed, (monsoons are here) 4 bushes shaped up, 2 agave plants planted and a huge cleanup of the pods from the tree. Excellent work and a very fair price. Jorge and his crew did an outstanding job on our project. We needed to have our entire irrigation system taken out and replaced and we wanted to have our backyard landscaped (after 19 years) and contacted several companies. A couple of them ignored us after an initial call while another came and gave us an outrageous estimate for the irrigation system while promising us all sorts of things for the backyard (without taking any measurements). Jorge called us and promisedto come out the same day and when he arrived, he looked at everything, gave us an estimate we understood (and explained how the other company was upcharging and selling us work on the irrigation system that didn't need to be done) and took the time to listen to us, provide suggestions, and do everything we expected from a professional providing an estimate. He and his team came earlier than originally expected (which was welcome), worked all day, and even stayed longer than expected each day just to be sure nothing was left undone. Jorge took suggestions during the project and was able to add and modify as the project was moving along. We are totally satisfied with the end result and can now finally enjoy sitting out in our backyard without feeling like we are sitting in an unfinished yard. He even came back out when we had a small leak in the irrigation system and fixed it right away (showing us where the leak was and how he fixed it). After finally getting me on the schedule for monthly yard maintenance they failed to show. "forgot". Then when they did come they charged me an extra $150 for weed spray and an additional $150 to remove a pile of branches (which I hadn't agreed too). In the end I was charged $450 for a monthly yard maintenance visit. I complained about the cost I was told their rate is $150 per hour! I guess the standard monthly service is only an hour, mostly using a blower on the patio. No bushes were trimmed. That would probably be extra. Most of the dust from the blower ended up in the pool. Everything is an extra charge. I wouldn't recommend. read more

Cardinal Landscaping has been my go to for yard maintenance for many years and has always done an amazing job for a reasonable price. There was an incident a few years ago where they accidentally broke my sliding glass door when their weed eater kicked up a rock - however, they went above & beyond to quickly take care of it and I was more than happy to continue doing business with them. Had this review been written in 2023, it would have been 5 stars. Unfortunately, my attempts to hire them in 2024 have all failed - either no response at all, or a response stating they would check their schedule and get back to me and then they never do so. read more

Jorge and his team did a great job laying pavers at the front of my house. I wanted to widen my driveway out by about (20'x10') for more space to park my car. There were also some small cactuses (4) that had to be moved for the pavers and gravel to be relocated as well. Jorge came by the next day and provided a competitive quote that I accepted via email/website. He scheduled me in the next week and the project took about a day and half to complete. He is friendly to work with and he quickly understands what needs to be done. In addition, as a side job, Jorge was able to program my water controller (I could not figure it out, it was set up by the previous owner and had no manual) and he repaired the system that had two major breaks in the lines. Overall, I am very satisfied with his team's work and would highly recommend them for anyone who needs landscaping work done in the Tucson area. read more

Jorge came here to see what the job involved and gave us a fair estimate of cost and an idea of when the job could be done. On the day selected for the job, we were going to be going out of town for a few days. Since he had been here to see the job conditions, we let him know we'd be gone. But, we gave him free rein and asked him to let us know when he was finished and the final price, so we could transfer money to him. We arrived home today and went to check on the appearance of the repair. It looked great! The job site was clean and the repair looked just like it did when new (even better than new). Our job was a repair of pavers that had to be removed when removal was necessary because of excavation. Jorge did the job extremely well and I recommend him highly for just about any landscaping need. read more

Let me start by saying I had a bad valve and my drip system would not turn off and of course it happened on Father's Day! I called a few companies hoping on Father's Day (Sunday) someone would pick up because my irrigation system would not turn off! Jorge at Cardinal picked up and I heard his family in the background, naturally being a father myself I felt bad, he walked me through turning off the valve and said he would come out on Monday, he came out and gave me a great quote, he was back the next day to replace the valve, reset my timer, and trim my tree in the front yard and the rest of my bushes & landscape.
