Esteban and his crew were excellent. These guys are professional, efficient, and do very thorough work. Most importantly, they communicate with you. They respond quickly, let you know when they'll be there, let you know if something comes up, and keep you posted on progress. I cannot begin to tell you how rare that is. We worked with them on regrading a portion of our yard and building a retaining wall with a built-in planted. Esteban was able to come over for an estimate within a few days, took measurements and pictures, and then got back to me with a design idea that he drew along with the details of what stones would be used. The quote was on par with other quotes we had received. They got us on the schedule within a couple of days and they finished the project as well as a complete yard clean-up within a week. That's bananas if you didn't realize. We'll be getting regular service from them from here on and have a few more projects lined up. read more

Very professional and reviewed the pictures I sent . Gave me a estimate when I am ready - all calls returned the same day

I am pleased with the result of the work done. Esteban gave me a quote quickly and I felt confident that he was knowledgeable about what I needed done. He came on time and worked very hard. I needed to solve a problem of my yard not draining properly and also needed stones in the yard and some plants trimmed. He did an excellent job. It was not cheap but the end result is worth it to me. read more

If you are looking for a landscaping company, Esteban Cardenas and his crew at E.C. Landscape and Excavation would be an excellent choice. Our back yard was a mess. After we chose the decorative rock, Esteban quoted us a reasonable price, leveled our backyard, handled the delivery, and evenly spread the decorative gravel. No hassle - we wrote one check. We can't say enough good things about Esteban and his crew at E.C. Landscape and Excavation. Chuck Meacham read more

I see that Arizona Arborists & Landscapes responded to my review. Unfortunately, Esteban was not accurate in his reply. First, he says, "I called him off", when in fact, I merely said another day would be better. (I had an appointment that I could not reschedule.) See photo of our texts. I notified him within a reasonable period of time that there was a large limb dangling from one mesquite tree. There had been no storm or other act of nature to cause this. It was obvious that it was a direct result of not making a good, clean, cut. He never responded to my texts to come cut and take away the dangling limb. He did, however, say that raking my yard would cost $550, but less than $350 wasn't worth his time. I had hoped, if the cost was reasonable, that he'd also remove the dangling limb. But, he did not. And, because I wouldn't go along with the high price, he refused to take away the dangling limb. Second, there was a lot of careless whacking and straight cutting on the trees, and I will admit, it looked weird to me but did not complain. I was relieved, for sure, that the trees were thinned. And, I praised them for that. I assured Esteban and his workers that there was no encroachment into the neighbors yard. It was an easement area, and I notified him as well as the next door neighbor, who would benefit at no cost from the trimming. Today, I had another company come out to trim my tall eucalyptus tree. As they observed the work Esteban and his crew did on the mesquites, they were appalled at the lack of care and improper trimming. They asked me about who did this. I did not bring it up until they asked. That tells, because they know what they're doing. In addition, they will fix one tree that Esteban whacked, for free! I will say this, the crew was friendly and hardworking. I really liked their demeanor, yet, that's not a great reason to get poor service. I cannot, in good conscience, ever recommend this company. Just because someone claims to be an arborist, does not make one so. read more

This is the top landscaping company I have ever used! Within a day of asking for an estimate, Estaban responded with a more than fair rate for 300sqft of pavers, 600 sqft of turf, and grading for an above-ground pool. By the next day, he was in the backyard helping us design and dropping off materials. His team finished the ENTIRE project in 12 hours with excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. Would highly recommend E.C. Landscape for anyone looking for work done on their front or backyard. read more

Esteban responded quickly with a very reasonable quote. Juan ( the trimmer ) arrived at the scheduled time, was so sweet and polite, he did a marvelous job to boot. The cleaners showed up just as Juan was finishing. They too, Alfred and George were equally nice. They did a standup job and left the front yard in great shape. My palm tree truly has never looked this good and happy. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone on our block. read more

Esteban and his crew were professional, efficient, friendly and reasonably priced. They exceeded all my expectations. Excellent work!

We received a quote timely. We had actually gotten a better quote from another business and AZ Arborists said they'd match it and do the work the next day. Three guys came out to cut down our tree and they made quick work of it. Additionally, they even took measurements for a wall that we want built around our backyard and are going to send us a quote on that too. read more

Esteban and his team are really quite remarkable. We searched high and low for a skillful contractor to grade our yard, lay pavers, and build and install steel planter box, gates and fence. Contractors would show up, make a bid, but never follow through. And then we contacted Esteban. In no time his crew was on site knocking out old stuff and preparing ground for pavers and metal work. No farting around. We were fairly blown away by Esteban and his team's level of skill, workmanship and artistry. The sheer effort required to demo the old tiles and concrete was staggering. These folks are really determined. They're also exact and meticulous. After observing such hard work and efficiency for 3 weeks, we can't imagine anyone else but Esteban completing the job--let alone finishing it so well. We didn't think the yard could look so good. read more

Excellent experience in all dimensions. The planning and estimating process was great, and Esteban worked with us on several significant alterations of a plan very cooperatively, and we learned a lot about the process that is going to be very useful when we have them work on future phases of our project. The end result is excellent, and we are certainly going to work with them again, and I highly recommend you give AA&L a call for your project. read more

This is the second time we have used Esteban services and he did not disappoint. First time we had him landscape our front and backyard. We gave him our vision and he came up with a design. I'm very pleased with his work ethic, reasonable pricing and design. This time we needed an acre of land cleared, along with some gravel and trees. He did more than we expected, which we were grateful for. This isn't just a job for Esteban, it's his life besides his beautiful family. He takes a lot of pride in his work and it really shows. Our paloverde needed some TLC that I only trusted to an arborist. They came right over after I sent my photos. We looked over the yard together as I had a few other projects. They will be doing all our yard maintenance from now on. read more

Esteban did a great job removing some oleader trees and grind down their stumps for me. Fair prices. Would recommend.

I am a small business owner, and I know what it is like to work with a limited staff, but trying to get a response for at least a quote has been painful and ridiculous. My calls go directly to voicemail, and voice mailbox is always full. Does not reply to yelp request for quote. Finally received a call back, and was promised a quote the next day. It's been over a week and nothing. I would not recommend this business until the owner cleans out their voicemail box, or hires someone to respond to inquiries. I was forced to look elsewhere. read more

Esteban was such a pleasure to work with. From design to completion, he was there every step of the way and listened to us and gave us great ideas. I was relocating and had some weeds that I couldn't pull and clean up in time. Though they weren't the first people I contacted, they followed up swiftly and effortlessly. All of my correspondence was clear and easy, and their pricing was very aggressive (in the best possible way). What would have taken me hours over several days they were done in less than an hour (I think, actually, less than 30 minutes). The weeding was so well done that it appeared like weeds had never been there. The smoothed out the gravel, and cleaned up all the debris. It is the cleanest it has ever looked.
