We stayed at the New Park and our reservation included $12 vouchers for each of us so we chose the Sunset Grill. Views were spectacular Service was fast and attentive. Food was so good and fresh. The portion sizes were huge

Came midday Saturday and expected there to be quite a few people, which was definitely true. It took a while to be seated, which is okay. The issues started from there: service was immensely slow, even for peak hour standards. About 15 minutes until we got water, another ten before we ordered, and other 20 before we got our food. To top it off, the food was not even that good - my gyro was quite average and something that Peter Griffin could have made at home more times than not. In addition, the menu prices are not up to date. Don't be surprised if you get charged more than the price listed on the menu. Bonus points for having apple sauce as a side! Not much else to say that's nice, sadly.

Unbelievable views and atmosphere decorated with vintage Ithaca college and Cornell memorabilia. Affordable menu, great wait staff. Family owned and operated. Must visit if in the Ithaca area. Perfect spot to pick up spirits and wine at Top Shelf liquor including the famous 6 Mile Creek Vineyard selection. Ask for the cashier Summer for recommendations. Cheap gas at Smiley's with Pizza and Wings. View alone is worth the visit . Shout out to Robert the owner. Rogan's corner forever! An Ithaca staple. RIP Frank & Julie.

Dinner hour Saturday. Prime rib special

This was a walk from campus. The decor friendly, the terrace very solid but the air was very smoky so I sat indoors. That did have the disadvantage of dueling musical radios stations, industry rap and classic rock from the kitchen. The other lone diners indoors remarked on this musical soup too. The servers were busy going in and out doors but were friendly and no-nonsense. The food was done well but wasn't extraordinary, the sauce for the prime rib could have been better, the potatoes could have been improved, but all in all it was a respectable meal prepared with care. By the way, i tried going back the next day on sunday and the place was MOBBED, still only two servers and well, no service. They likely are short staffed.

This is an awesome place. Good food, great service, great views. I wish they had more selection of summer (day time) cocktails.

French Mussels broth perfectly paired with truffle fries. Reports back on the Green Ramen, Ribeye and Bolognese dishes were very good. I think I out ordered them though.

I've had brunch, lunch, and dinner at MIX, and all with varying levels of enjoyment. My recent…read morebrunch experience included ordering a Where the West Begins omelette, which includes "Braised short rib, butternut squash, red onion jam, spinach, smoked gouda". I wasn't sure how to feel about butternut squash with everything else (I'm not necessarily a huge squash fan - but I'm trying to learn to enjoy it), but the omelette was decent... it's the other side on my plate that looked less than appetizing. The biscuit was still covered in flour (and who wants to bite down on a clump of flour?), the cheddar hashbrown casserole lacked in flavor, and the brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal just... wasn't doin' it for me. Other recent experiences have been similar... there's usually one item on the plate that's flavorful or imventive (sometimes a main dish, sometimes a side), and the other parts of the plate are lacking. In reality, I think MIX is suffering a bit from rising food costs and inconsistency in their service and offerings. They've also changed the style of their menu from the original tapas-style to now being more typical entree options. Again... they've lost some of their innovative, experimental approach. In terms of ambiance, it really depends. I've been here for a work event and, because of the number of people, it was SO LOUD... they had also done a buffet offering for the event. As you can imagine, the food from the buffet was lacking, but that's often what happens when you're more mass producing your food (and it's left in a chafing dish, trying to be kept warm). On the other hand, I've been here for a dinner on a random night and was able to enjoy one of their Thai noodle bowls (and split some other apps with friends). The reality is that experiences at MIX are... well... a mix. Whether service, menu offerings, etc., I've found MIX's recent inconsistencies to be a disappointment. Will probably only visit in the future if it's suggested by others.

Don't come here with a big party, as the largest table seats four people and there are probably about 25 seats in the whole restaurant. I came with a group of 8, and we were separated into three tables. The food was really good. I ordered an omelet and didn't quite expect what they handed me, but it was super good (it was more like a scramble than a traditional omelet). Omelets can sometimes be really bland, but LSD did a great job of making sure that the food was seasoned well. No complaints about pricing/service either - it was all super fair. Lastly, it gets busy, so be ready to wait!

The inside looks like a typical small diner. It's small, having some counter seats and like 6 tables, but it's busy with a steady stream of people eating and at least 2 people waiting to be seated! There's one lady who runs around and waits on all the tables. She deserves some sort of super hero waitress award. The food was top notch diner breakfast... Nothing fancy, but it really hit the spot. The coffee was fresh and strong and hot. It was a perfect fuel for a day of hiking and exploring.

Great spot for dinner in Ithaca! I love the house-made desserts!…read more I tried the mussels for appetizer which were very good. Not too heavy or salty. For mains I tried the vodka gnocchi and the cod stew. Both were excellent! I think if I were to return I would get the cod stew though- it is much more unique. Only complaint about the gnocchi is I wish there was more cheese on top. Desserts were divine! I love how they display them all on the table by the fireplace! We tried the pumpkin cake and the poppyseed coconut almond cake. I truly don't think I could pick a favorite. I wish the whipped cream was also homemade though. I came for dinner on a weekend night (with reservations). Service was solid. Overall, I would return! I will definitely be coming back to try their brunch!

Lunch options are mostly sandwiches. Our waitress Mary suggested a lemon bundt style cake for us as a special, and while it wasn't "special", it was a simple yet delightful way to whet our appetites. I ordered the Ploughman's Lunch, which was a hearty portion of all of the above savory options. Filling, but not immoderate, paying respect to the original traditional English meal. Staff was amiable and helpful. Prices, while not necessarily cheap, were quite fair (although I wouldn't trust their online prices). Reservations are recommended. I'd happily return for another try.
