I have been a regular customer for over 10 years , im sure going to miss this place ! But after today i just cant go back here . One thing i hate is rude customer service. Stopped before school opened had to kill time and have my morning brew. They have parking, and indoor seating very clean. Regular selection of donuts. I ordered halve breakfast croissant sandwich and 6 donuts to take home to my kids. There's was a guy making the donuts fresh just a few feet from counter. Love this place as I am regular here. Come here in the mornings for their sandwiches and Vietnamese style coffee. Their coffee is SO good here. The variety and texture of the donut are on par compared to some other donut shops in the Long Beach area. The service here is consistent and really good. It is definitely one of the cleanest donut shops I have been to which is a huge deal for me. They also sell a variety of other items in the store like lottery, scratcher tickets, ice cream and so on. They also have a Drive Thru window which is so convenient if you are on the go. It's the mom and pop stores like this one that we need to continue to support in the local community. Donut cravings are really rare for me. I would prefer to say that I never crave donuts...but it just happened this week. I was fixated on the sugary pastries and I wish that I would have looked into it before I just jumped in and tried an un-reviewed establishment. DO NOT walk into Sunrise Donut and expect a warm and wonderful feeling from the staff. I understand that it was almost ten o'clock at night but Kealoha and I walked in with smiles and we remembered our p's and q's. The girl behind the counter didn't take her mp3 ear buds out of her ears and she didn't have any patience. She wanted to know what donuts we wanted and she wanted to know now! We honestly weren't taking forever to order but you would have thought it...she asked after each donut "Is that all?" We both picked two donuts and she gave us the total of our order...dare I ask her for a chocolate milk? What do I do?! I ask "May I please also have a chocolate milk?" I feel chumpy and relatively small. I wonder what I am keeping her from but considering the environment cannot imagine anything more important than SELLING DONUTS. After we pay, we had a look around at the menu board. They serve sandwiches, smoothies, ice cream sundaes. They sell convenience items like cigarettes and analgesics. I got a half dozen of their donuts at 10pm (cause that's what everyone does on their cheat day, right?) And I'm sure these things had been sitting around for at least 5 hours or so. Did not matter!! They were amazing even hours old. Super fluffy and light, they go down so easily, so be careful. I spent my whole Thursday mentally planning which donut shop to hit.
